Abstract

The health condition of toddlers in the Kedaton Community Health Center working area in January 2025 in Sukamenanti Baru Village showed that the coverage of toddlers who experienced weight gain was only 85% so it has not reached the target. Chicken liver is a food ingredient that is easily available and inexpensive. However, children tend to dislike consuming chicken liver directly, so there is a need for innovation in forms that suit children's tastes, such as being processed into other, more attractive products. This community service aims to provide understanding to mothers regarding the importance of consuming animal foods and empowering KWT Melati Jaya through training in processing chicken liver sausages as a nutritious food solution that is affordable and liked by children. The activity was carried out July-August 2025 at the Al-Fitrah Mosque, Sukamenanti Baru, Kedaton, Bandar Lampung. Counseling activities were carried out using lecture methods and leaflet media, while the activity of making chicken liver sausages was carried out using a direct demonstration method for KWT mothers. There was a significant increase in mothers' knowledge about animal protein (p = 0.000) (average pre-test score of 78.8 to post-test 93.3). All groups were quite successful in making chicken liver sausages, resulting in a product they enjoyed (good taste, minimal odor). This sausage has the potential to provide a nutritional solution for toddlers and a business opportunity with a long shelf life.

Abstract

Archive digitalization is an essential step in improving the efficiency of document management at the village government level. Currently, archiving processes are still carried out manually using paper-based media, which creates several problems such as the risk of damage and data loss, difficulties in document retrieval, limited storage space, and slow administrative services to the community. The purpose of this community service activity is to enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen the competence of village officials through the implementation of a digital archive system. The solution offered is the development and implementation of a web-based digital archive application accompanied by training and technical assistance for village officials. The application was developed using CodeIgniter, Bootstrap, and MySQL technologies to ensure user-friendliness, fast access, and structured data management. The implementation methods include needs analysis, system design, application implementation, training, and intensive mentoring. The results show that the digital archive application improved administrative efficiency, accelerated document retrieval, and reduced the risk of archive loss. Moreover, village officials gained increased competence in managing digital archives. Therefore, this system has the potential to serve as a model for other villages in optimizing administrative services through archive digitalization.

Abstract

Deli Serdang is a regency located in North Sumatra Province. Where one of the villages in Deli Serdang district is Patumbak village. Judging from the resources available in Deli Serdang, especially Patumbak Village has resources that have good potential for developing businesses. One of the businesses is a catfish farming business managed by Mr. Denianto since 2021. Based on the results of the survey that has been carried out, the proposer determines Mr. Denianto's fish farmer group as a partner. The proposer and partners agreed on several problems that have been faced by partners, including that in the production process, farmers still use factory-produced fish feed at around IDR 10,000 / kg, resulting in high production costs. This has an impact on production results, because the price of fish does not change while the price of fish feed continues to rise, so the profit of fish farmers is reduced. If farmers make their own feed, the costs incurred are smaller at around Rp. 6000/kg. This can certainly reduce the cost of expenses and increase the income of farmers. For this reason, a fish feed (pellet) making machine is needed. The high price of the machine is the main reason why partners depend on pellets to feed their livestock. Another problem is that partners do not have sufficient knowledge and skills to make quality independent feed. Another partner problem is that partners do not have access to a broad market to sell independent feed. The objectives of PKM activities are to provide socialization, training and mentoring to partners regarding: 1) making independent feed using a multifunctional machine by utilizing chicken feather waste; 2) making marketing applications so that farmers can sell independent feed to the wider community. The method of implementing the service is to provide socialization, training and mentoring to Maju Ternak Makmur Partners. The targeted results in this Community-Based Empowerment Program are Increased efficiency of the fish feed (pellet) production process with the existence of a more modern fish feed (pellet) making machine in the partner industry, so that fish farmers can make feed independently. In addition, it can also reduce farmers' operational costs, and can produce pellets in larger quantities in a shorter time. More effective product marketing methods, by making product marketing applications in the form of fish feed (pellets) and training in the use of applications as a tool in marketing products that are more clearly effective and efficient. With the training in making feed independently by utilizing chicken feather waste, partners have the knowledge to make better quality fish feed (pellets). So that it will provide an increase in income for farmers, and also improve the quality of organic fish products, reduce production costs, and not pollute the environment.

Abstract

Deli Serdang is a regency located in North Sumatra Province. One of the villages in Deli Serdang Regency is Tembung Village. Based on the available resources in Deli Serdang, especially in Tembung Village, there is great potential for business development. One of the businesses in Tembung Village is a laundry service business that was started in 2018 by Mr. Ahmad. Based on the results of a survey that has been conducted, the proponent has designated Mr. Ahmad's laundry business group as a partner. The proponent and the partner have agreed on several issues that have been faced by the partner, including the drying stage, which takes a long time due to limited equipment. Until now, the drying process has been inadequate, still relying on traditional drying methods, namely sunlight. Electric irons use heating elements on metal plates directly. This has many shortcomings, especially in terms of quality. It can damage certain clothes, such as burning or shining clothes. This is usually because the electric iron used is too hot. Thirdly, laundries still use manual record-keeping methods such as notebooks, so that data is not integrated in real time. In general, profit and loss calculations, financial reports, and clothing inventory records are still done on paper. The objectives of this PKM activity are to provide information, training, and assistance to partners on: 1) Making clothes dryers; 2) Making steam-based clothes ironing tools; 3) Creating a Laundry Management Web Application. The targeted outcomes of this Community-Based Empowerment Program are: 1) Increased production process efficiency with the use of drying machines and steam irons, as partners will have the knowledge to use these machines, thereby helping them speed up the drying process and eliminating the need for tedious sun drying. Clothes are ironed faster, neater, and free from the risk of damage; 2) With the laundry management software, partners have knowledge of how to use the application, namely profit and loss calculations, financial reports, and data collection on clothes coming in and out. Scientific articles will be published in the form of accredited journals and publications in online media and videos of Community-Based Empowerment Activities.

Abstract

Implementing the independent curriculum at the elementary school level requires an emphasis on students' thinking skills. Learning is not merely the transfer of knowledge through textbooks, but needs to be designed through activities carried out directly by students. One such activity is through activities to strengthen the Pancasila profile, which are carried out to support student skills. However, the problem is that the activities designed by teachers tend to be entrepreneurial, but still lack a focus on literacy activities that support students' thinking skills. This activity aims to improve teachers' abilities in designing literacy activities and using digital platforms for literacy activities based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) in elementary school learning. Partners in this community service activity are elementary school teachers who are members of the KKG GTK Kombel 7, Tebat Karai District, Kepahiang. The target for this activity is 100 teachers and 25 elementary school students. The method of implementation of this activity is through training. The stages of this activity consist of: 1) preparation stage (coordination and socialization, design of STEAM-based literacy activities, and digital platform design), 2) implementation stage (platform use and implementation in class), and 3) evaluation and monitoring stage. The results of this activity are: 1) there was an increase in participants' ability to design STEAM-based literacy activities (score 55 on the pretest and 85 on the posttest), and 2) an increase in participants' ability to use the digital platform for STEAM-based literacy activities, with an average score of 90. In addition, students' responses in learning using literacy activities were, on average, in the high category. As a suggestion, teachers can design literacy activities in various materials for each learning area by integrating surrounding manipulative objects into a digital platform.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out to address the problem of weak financial management and inaccurate production cost calculation among micro-entrepreneurs, particularly tofu producers in Kampung Tahu Binjai, Binjai City, North Sumatra. Most business owners lacked structured cost recording systems, causing product pricing to rely on intuition rather than accurate cost analysis. Such conditions resulted in operational inefficiencies and reduced profit margins. The main objective of this activity was to strengthen the financial literacy and managerial capacity of MSME actors through integrated training, which included cost of goods manufactured (COGM) calculation using the full costing method, preparation of simple income statements, and the adoption of digital financial recordkeeping. The approach consisted of initial observation, practice-based training, intensive mentoring, and post-activity evaluation to ensure behavioral change and real implementation in the field. A total of 20 tofu producers participated in this program, most of whom had basic educational backgrounds and had never implemented formal accounting systems. The evaluation showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding of fixed and variable costs, COGM computation, and financial reporting. The level of understanding rose from 10% before training to 85–90% afterward, with a participant satisfaction rate of 90%. Moreover, most participants began using simple digital bookkeeping based on spreadsheet applications. Beyond technical skills, this program also fostered awareness of financial discipline, the separation between personal and business finances, and the strategic use of financial statements for decision-making and credit access. The results demonstrate that a literacy-based, practice-oriented, and digitally supported training model can improve the efficiency, transparency, and profitability of microenterprises. This approach can be replicated as a community-based MSME empowerment model to promote sustainable local economic growth and strengthen financial resilience among small-scale food producers in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) aims to empower Qur’anic Farm Indonesia through an innovative approach to converting food waste into compost, emphasizing social and environmental values. This program was designed to address two main challenges: slow compost production due to reliance on conventional aerobic methods, which take up to three months, and the absence of a proper financial recording system for profitability analysis. Technological solutions were introduced through the implementation of waste shredding machines and anaerobic digesters as Appropriate Technology (TTG), which reduce raw material size and significantly shorten decomposition time. On the management side, financial training focused on preparing transparent and easily understandable simple reports. The program was carried out through systematic stages using discussion and Participatory Action Research (PAR) methods, includin: field surveys, preparation, socialization, training, implementation of TTG, mentoring, evaluation, and sustainability strategies. Key outcomes included increased participant knowledge about anaerobic composting, enhanced compost production capacity through higher harvesting frequency, and the establishment of a basic accounting system to support financial decision-making. The long-term impacts encompass the creation of a sustainable enterprise both economically through increased profits and socially through contributions to orphan education and local food waste reduction. This program not only boosts production efficiency but also builds a foundation for healthy and independent business governance.

Abstract

The digital divide among underprivileged orphaned children (AYPD) remains a key barrier to inclusive education. This community service program aimed to improve digital literacy, independent learning, and social participation of AYPD through the implementation of RS-BPBL© EduLink, positioning the mosque as a community learning hub. The program was conducted at Masjid As-Salaam, Padang, in five stages: socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring, and sustainability. Evaluation was carried out through pre–post tests, activity logs, and showcase products. The results demonstrated significant improvements in knowledge (84.5%) and digital skills (85.7%), full adoption of the LMS (100% of participants), and 85% successfully managing independent study schedules for 6 weeks. Three showcases were conducted as authentic assessments that fostered reflection and social accountability. The program confirmed the effectiveness of the Masjid EduTech model in bridging the digital divide while strengthening community-based learning ecosystems. This initiative holds strong replication potential in other communities and aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education), Asta Cita (human capital development), and Indonesia’s higher education strategic agenda.
