Abstract

The focus of this study is the participation of people in politics in the elections in the village of petiman petilan city of denpasar in 2024. It is important to investigate participation, as election success can be measured at the level of civic participation. Researchers use the research method of socialization. The study focuses on how people's political participation in the denpasar city legislature elections from 2024 to 2029. Friedmen and hechter feel that social institutions influence political participation. Research indicates that village heads, legislative candidate, PPS, and religious figures are social institutions that contribute to increased political participation of the community. Third, people's involvement and political perceptions are affected by the emotional closeness of the pileg and election candidates. Fourth, the rationality of society is central to political participation.

Abstract

Garbage contains various toxic materials such as heavy metals, insecticides, and so on, so humans who come into direct contact with waste can be at risk of experiencing chronic digestive disorders. Members of the Demen Youth Organization will be involved in making Community Service Advertisements (PSAs) about waste disposal. PSAs are promotional media that gain public interest in the advertisements being promoted and are used as media for services and social organizations to be known as serving the wider community. And can give rise to new awareness that originates from individuals and groups. The implementation method for the service located in Demen Hamlet will be divided into three stages. The search technique will use observation and discussion methods with Karang Taruna to find message concepts.

Abstract

Current economic developments require high creative power to deal with highly disruptive markets with rapid changes. This is in line with the creative economy policy launched by the government. Batik is one of the products of the creative economy that was developed by Indonesia long ago. In Jepara, currently there are 32 Batik SMEs, one of which is Batik Kembang Mulyo, which is different from the others because it produces natural batik using environmentally friendly materials, namely utilizing biological natural resources through natural coloring. Of course, this needs to be balanced with the existence of innovative batik motifs so that they are not monotonous, where previously only limited to plant motifs, now it is necessary to create new designs through postmodern batik designs or artistic designs so that they are more marketable and competitive in the market. Through this community service activity by collaborating with MSME partners, it is hoped that the Kembang Mulyo batik industry will be able to develop the batik industry in Jepara so that it can compete in the market. The dedication method is carried out through Jepara Nature Batik Fashion Show activities, seminars in the form of lectures, focus group discussions (FGD), and workshops.

Abstract

Digital transformation is developing rapidly and has become a global trend. It encourages sustainable practices in various sectors. These sectors include digital finance, blockchain and cryptocurrency, and e-Government. This Community Service (PkM) is three sessions from the NUNI IT Online Seminar Phase 6 with the topic "Digital Transformation for Sustainable Practices" organized by the Nationwide University Network in Indonesia (NUNI) and held on 27 May - 7 June 2024. This PkM explains three materials about research in digital finance, understanding blockchain and cryptocurrencies in the digital economy, and challenges and obstacles in e-government in Indonesia. The third session was held on 28-30 May 2024. The results of this activity were the transfer of knowledge and the addition of participants' insight and knowledge about the topics presented.

Abstract

In light of the swift advancement of technology, individuals are compelled to see current technological innovations as a means to enhance and maximize the overall standard of living. One potential approach to societal advancement involves achieving a harmonious equilibrium between technology and social life. Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge that not all strata of society possess the capacity to effectively adjust to these transformations. In light of this, it is imperative to implement pedagogical strategies and instructional approaches. The instructional and educational activities were conducted at Ar-Rohman Orphanage in Bandung, serving as a means to facilitate community adaptation. This particular exercise is comprised of three distinct stages. The initial phase involves the compilation of the teaching syllabus required for the teaching and training procedures. Subsequently, the second phase encompasses the implementation of teaching and training activities, along with the assessment of participants' comprehension. Finally, the third phase entails the execution of a concluding evaluation. The pupils of Ar-Rohman Orphanage engage in community service activities that involve teaching and training. These activities enable them to effectively manage the integration of technology into their social lives, namely through fostering the development of problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

The existence of waste in Indonesia is a common problem, environmental pollution to health problems. Tofu is a food product that is in demand by the Indonesian people. Community Service carried out at the Tempe and Tofu Cluster UMKM in Duren Jaya Bekasi by utilizing liquid and solid tofu waste so that it becomes economic value. There are three products produced in the PkM activity through the utilization of tofu waste, namely the manufacture of PIKAHU (Tofu Dregs Chips), gembus tempeh and PUKCAKBALAI (Soybean Waste Liquid Fertilizer). For further PkM activities, it can be sustainable and add technology to maximize the products produced.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) or community service program are a form of community service by students as one of implementation the knowledge they have gained directly to the community. This socialization activity has the main target, namely Kandang Panjang Village children aged 2 to 12 years. The aim of this activity is to build an interest in saving in children from an early age through the KKN work program of the Faculty of Economics and Business. This research uses a socialization method by delivering material offline or face to face. Data collection methods include observation, interviews and documentation obtained from various sources related to the topic being studied, as well as literature related to this research. The results of this research indicate that KKN students at the Faculty of Economics and Business use educational resources to increase children's awareness of saving from an early age. The material presented is in the form of the meaning of saving, how to save, the benefits of saving, and at the same time decorating piggy banks as an intermediary to train children's creativity in the hope that the material will be easier for children to understand. The children's enthusiasm during the socialization is a sign of the success of the work program being implemented.

Abstract

Low human resources are the main reason the citronella oil refining business in Tempursari village, Candimulyo, Magelang, which started in 2021, has stopped producing citronella oil. The quality of lemongrass essential oil is an indicator of success in the distillation process. Lemongrass oil is said to be of quality if it has a high yield and complies with (SNI) 06-3593-1995. To increase the community's knowledge and skills, a series of outreach activities, cultivation training, distillation techniques, making citronella solid soap products and practice of managing a website as promotional media were carried out. The focus of this service involves the participation of the community who are members of the Association of Farmer Groups, the Women's Farmer Community and Karangtaruna of Tempursari Village, Candimulyo District, Magelang Regency. The results of increasing knowledge and skills include the percentage of pre- and post-test scores which show an increase in knowledge of citronella cultivation from 62.68% to 71.33% and post-harvest knowledge from 38.02% to 82.50%.  The level of improvement in distilling skills was shown by an increase in yield from 0.1% to 0.8%, partner skills also increased because they succeeded in making citronella solid soap, and Karangtaruna was able to control the operations of the website www.atsiri-tempursari.com so that the latest information could be conveyed through the media digital.

Abstract

The existence of a school website is an important means to convey information effectively to students, teachers, parents, and the general public. SDN Utan Kayu Utara 01, located in East Jakarta, has an official website that can be used as a medium for information and communication. This training aims to provide a basic understanding of the importance of websites in education; train participants to manage websites using WordPress, a platform that is easily accessible and user-friendly; support SDN Utan Kayu Utara 01 in creating a digital platform that supports teaching and learning activities and administration. This training is carried out through three main stages, namely preparation, implementation, evaluation and mentoring. The implementation is carried out in one full day (8 hours) consisting of 3 sessions, namely Introduction to Websites and WordPress, Website Management and File Management. Website management training using WordPress at SDN Utan Kayu Utara 01 has produced several significant achievements, both in terms of participant capabilities and infrastructure management. This training has succeeded in improving teachers' technical skills in managing school websites, such as uploading various types of content such as text, images, and videos to beautify and complete the website page. Website management training using WordPress at SDN Utan Kayu Utara 01 has been successfully implemented. From the evaluation, the majority of participants felt that this training was very useful, especially in facing the demands of digitalization of education.

Abstract

Community-Based Tourism (CBT) is a tourism approach that emphasizes the active role of local communities in managing tourist destinations to create sustainable economic, social, and environmental benefits. This article discusses the concept, principles, impacts, challenges, and implementation of CBT, focusing on a case study in Muara Gembong. Muara Gembong has great potential in mangrove ecotourism, marine tourism, and agro-tourism, which can be developed through a community-based approach. Research shows that the success of CBT in Muara Gembong depends on assistance, infrastructure improvements, and collaboration between the community, government, and private sector. With the right strategy, Muara Gembong can become a successful model for CBT development in Indonesia.
