Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of implementing the Self-Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) learning model on the critical thinking abilities of class V students at SD Negeri 1 Harapan Jaya, Bandar Lampung. This learning model is known as an innovative approach that encourages independent, collaborative learning and scientific discovery The research method used was quasi-experimental with a posttest control group research design. This research sample consisted of two classes, namely the control class which received conventional learning and the experimental class which received learning using the Self Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) model. Data was collected through previously validated critical thinking test instruments. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in the critical thinking abilities of students who received learning through the Self Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) model compared to the control class. These findings indicate that the application of the Self Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) Model is able to encourage the development of critical thinking skills in students at the elementary school level. Apart from that, the results of this research also provide an implication of this research regarding the importance of implementing innovative learning models such as SOLE in improving students' critical thinking skills at the elementary school level. Educators can integrate this model into the curriculum to provide more meaningful and in-depth learning experiences, which can help students develop their critical thinking skills from an early age.

Abstract

This research is to test the effectiveness of differentiated learning models to improve students' science literacy skills. The method used in this research is a quasy experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design that only uses one class and the comparison technique is the pre-test and post-test scores obtained by students. This research was given to 30 grade VI students of SDN Mumbulsari 3 using a sampling technique in the form of purposive sampling. Data collection instruments in the form of the effectiveness of differentiated learning materials were obtained through science literacy ability tests and student response questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the students' science literacy ability test showed an increase (gain score) between the pretest and posttest scores of 0.61 which was in the moderate category; besides that most students gave a positive response to the learning material seen from the percentage of interest in learning materials 85.63% (very interested). Based on the analysis of the data obtained, it shows that differentiated learning materials are effective as learning materials to improve students' science literacy skills in the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The problems of this research are students' lack of attention to the teacher's explanation, lack of enthusiasm for lessons and their lack of curiosity in mathematics lessons. Then, the aims of this research are to know students’ mathematical disposition and the results of the mathematical disposition of students at grade 5 SDIT Khoiru Ummah after using the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model. The type of the research was quantitative descriptive research. The population was 63 students with a sample of 30 students using purposive sampling. The data collection technique was in the form of observation and a questionnaire consisting of 20 questions referring to 5 indicators of mathematical disposition. The second data used had been validated by experts. From the research results of applying the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) learning model to the mathematical disposition of grade 5 students at SDIT Khoiru Ummah, it was shown that teacher and students’ activities are very good. The results of the students' mathematical disposition obtained from the questionnaire were classified as high as many as 23 people, medium as many as 4 people and low as many as 3 people.

Abstract

Blended learning is a learning model that combines face-to-face learning with online learning. After the end of Covid-19, teachers continued to implement technology-based learning using WhatsApp media to introduce technology without abandoning face-to-face learning. This research aims to describe the implementation of blended learning models in mathematics subjects using WhatsApp media for students in elementary schools. This research uses a qualitative approach. Research conducted by researchers at Depok 1 State Elementary School on class IV students totaling 27 students. Data collection was obtained through interviews and observations. The research results showed that interactions that occurred via WhatsApp media facilitated discussions between teachers and students outside of face-to-face learning time. Planning is done by selecting materials, implementation is done by sending materials via WhatsApp, and evaluation is done by giving tests. Apart from that, WhatsApp also has obstacles, namely network constraints, support factors and parental control while in the home environment. The implications of the blended learning model using WhatsApp media are appropriate to apply, because WhatsApp is a familiar media and is one of the media that is easy to use. Technological developments are increasingly rapid, so teachers can introduce technology for education to students.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of Science Content students at SDN Kelayan Barat 3, Banjarmasin City. This study aims to increase learning activity, motivation, and critical thinking skills of VB class students at SDN Kelayan Barat 3 Banjarmasin City in science learning content, carried out in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. This research is a classroom action research. The results show the acquisition of a classical score on teacher activity at the first meeting gets a percentage of 69.45%, the second meeting 77.8%, the third meeting 86.11%, and the fourth meeting 94.45%. Student motivation at the first meeting was 59.10%, the second meeting was 77.26%, the third meeting was 90.90%, and the fourth meeting was 100%. In student activity the score was 45.45% at the first meeting, the second meeting was 68.18%, the third meeting was 90.90%, and the fourth meeting was 100%. Critical thinking skills at the first meeting scored 45.46%, the second meeting 54.54%, the third meeting 77.27%, and the fourth meeting 100%. In the first meeting student learning outcomes get a score of 45%, the second meeting 59%, the third meeting 77%, and the fourth meeting 100%. This proves that there has been an increase in learning activity, motivation, and critical thinking skills of science content students using wax media using the PANTING model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of research trends in science literacy skills of elementary school students in 2016-2023. The research methods used were bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review. Bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. Researchers chose Google Scholar as a source of information. Documents related to science literacy were collected using the Publish or Perish application, then processed with the PRISMA method. The results of the review analysis of 109 science literacy articles in elementary schools in articles published in the period 2016-2023 showed that this research continues to grow. The journal that most frequently publishes science literacy articles is Basicedu Journal. The article with the most citations in 2017. The most published science literacy research subtopic is about learning media. Factors that influence the low level of science literacy in elementary school are inappropriate teaching materials. Meanwhile, factors that can improve science literacy in elementary schools are the active role of teachers, the learning environment, and adequate information technology. The impact of increasing science literacy is dominated by affective impacts in the form of scientific attitudes and responsibility, psychomotor impacts in the form of science process skills and critical thinking.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurs, namely the environmentally conscious character of students who are already good because they attend Adiwiyata schools. Teachers at SDN Karang Mulya implement various efforts to realize and develop the environmentally caring character of their students, one of which is through learning based on scientific literacy. Seeing the phenomenon that occurred at the school in question, the researchers were interested in taking a more in-depth picture of the students' already good environmentally caring character by looking at the students' scientific literacy abilities. This research aims to (1) determine the scientific literacy abilities of class V students at SDN Karang Mulya. (2) know the ways or efforts to realize the character of caring for the environment. (3) find out the implications regarding scientific literacy skills in realizing environmentally caring character. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects of this research were teachers and students of class V at SDN Karang Mulya. This research data was analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of this research are that the average scientific literacy ability of students at SDN Karang Mulya is 80%. Meanwhile, the average environmentally conscious character of class V students at SDN Karang Mulya is 76.25%. The implications for teachers are, if students have good scientific literacy skills, it will be easier for teachers to carry out the learning process in class and teachers will also find it easier to realize and develop students' environmentally caring character. Meanwhile, the implication for schools is that if students have a good environmentally caring character, such as throwing rubbish in the right place according to its type, always carrying out daily pickets, carrying out reforestation, utilizing used plastic goods, and doing community service, the school environment will always be clean, comfortable and beautiful.

Abstract

The aims of this research are 1). Analyzing initial abilities in the experimental class and control class, 2). Analyzing the influence of the TPACK-based learning approach on learning outcomes, 3). Analyzing the effectiveness of a TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) based learning approach in class III at SDN 2 Sugih Waras. This research is quantitative research with a true experimental design experimental method. The research data collection technique used pretest and posttest, research samples were students in class III A, experimental class and III B, control class. The data analysis technique used was a prerequisite test, data analysis used the independent sample t test and the N-Gain test. Based on research results 1). Sig value. (2-tailed) from the pretest data of experimental class and control class students, namely 0.562 > 0.05. This shows that Ho is accepted, meaning there is no difference in the average initial ability of students in the experimental class and the control class, 2). There is an influence of the TPACK-based learning approach on learning outcomes. This can be seen based on the t test table which shows the Sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.00 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, 3). The results of the N-Gain test in class III A which used TPACK got an average score of 62.41 which was categorized as quite effective, while in class III B which used the lecture and assignment method the average was 22.77 which was categorized as ineffective.

Abstract

The study of improving critical thinking skills has garnered attention worldwide, including in Indonesia, amidst the developments and advancements of the 21st century. The enhancement of critical thinking skills among students is often overlooked by teachers in the classroom. This research aims to analyze students' critical thinking abilities using the inquiry learning model. The research design employed in this study is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 61 fifth-grade students from an Islamic elementary school. The findings indicate a significant comparison of students' critical thinking abilities using the inquiry learning model, as revealed by the t-test results. The implications of this research can serve as a reference for taking further action to address issues related to improving critical thinking skills and fostering innovative learning approaches. This study is expected to be utilized by educators as a reference to enhance students' thinking abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the form of bullying that occurs at SDN 01 Sabah Balau, South Lampung and what the role of child-friendly schools is in dealing with and dealing with bullying that occurs. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Where this type of research uses existing theories or can even produce new theories. The approach in this research is a case study. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the research show that the forms of bullying that occur at SDN 01 Sabah Balau are verbal and physical. Verbal bullying such as ridiculing or insulting friends with inappropriate words. Meanwhile, physical bullying takes the form of hitting, pinching and pushing friends. Furthermore, the role of schools in overcoming and overcoming bullying that occurs is through several things such as implementing several strategies such as varying learning spaces, instilling character values through integrating subjects, anti-bullying socialization and education as role models.
