Abstract

Pekalongan is located on the nort-central coast and has a workforce of 95.581. the productive age population is generally the labor force that requires employment. Pekalongan, which is famous as a batik city, has 21.979 micro, small and medium enterprises(MSMEs). This is enough to help the population of productive age to be absorbed in the informal sector. Workers in both the formal and non-formal sectors get a salary or wages or income and social security benefits. This study aims to see the level of participation of informal workers in Pekalongan. This research is a qualitative research with triangulation analysis technique. Research data is presented descriptively. Researchers found that employment social security participation by informal sector workers in Pekalongan was still low due to the lack of socialization provided, ignorance of the procedures for registering BPJS membership and the perceived high cost of social security contributions by most informal workers. Abstract

Modality in semantics can be said as speaker's expression reflected in his or her word choices. This article took modality as the main theme because modality can explain someone's expression or belief about what is being conveyed. The use of modality which shows speaker’s expression can be seen in the classroom presentation class. Each student will have different choice in using modality.  Actually there are types of modality. Those are intentional, epistemic, deontic, and dynamic. This study aimed to explain the types of modality used by students in explaining the material and expressing their opinions during presentations in class. The method used was descriptive qualitative. The data were collected by using observation. After the data were collected, it was  analyzed by using some stage, those were identification, classification, description and interpretation. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the modality used by students in expressing their opinions during presentation class was intentional modality, epistemologi modality, dynamic modality, and deontic modality. Abstract

Parking is a potential regional revenue which is quite high because it is realized that the number from year to year has increased. Based on data from the Pekalongan City Transportation Service, in 2019 it has reached Rp. 1,205 billion or 75 percent of the target set, which is Rp. 1.6 billion. The parking area managed by the Pekalongan City Government so far has managed 424 points, the types of fees managed are divided into parking fees on the edge of public roads and off-street parking with a composition of 30 percent of PAD and 70 percent for parking attendants. The existence of this considerable potential poses a challenge for local governments to manage it. In the implementation of roadside retribution policies, there have been problems in managing parking lots, including the existence of strategic parking areas but not registered with the local government, the distribution and area of ??managed parking lots so that potential parking levy tax revenues can be known. In the research conducted using quantitative, qualitative, and R&D research methods with mapping with the polygon method so that the parking area managed by the Pekalongan City Government and the potential income from parking retribution taxes as a Pekalongan City Original Revenue Source (PAD) can be found.. Abstract

The purpose of the research is to determine and analyze the strata and competitor products, as well as compile options policy recommendations of tourism for the City of Pekalongan. Located in Pekalongan City, from June - November 2021, mix methods with descriptive explorative as a method of research. Secondary Data from the Government of Pekalongan City, the primary data obtained through questionnaires open the 132 respondents and the questionnaire analysis of 56 respondents with Likert scale. Analysis with Three Levels of a Product and the Five Forces. The result strata featured product is batik as a core product, Megono as actual product and Tauto, Coffee as the augmented product, a score between 5-7 points that the products featured on the condition of the potentially claimed as the featured product. The accumulation of the results of the Analysis of Five Forces, that the featured products in support of the tourism are still very in need of strengthening. This research implies that to encourage the increase of tourism in the City of Pekalongan needed to support the strengthening of the featured products on the internal side of the featured products and revamping the external side.  Keywords: Featured products, tourism, three levels of a product, five forces

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused restrictions on many activities, including pregnancy checks, because feared that pregnant women will contract the virus. So we need an innovation for pregnant women to know the risk of pregnancy to get the right treatment. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the SiBumil application, which is an application to detect the risk of independent pregnancy. The population in this study were pregnant women with high risk in the Kramatsari Public Health Center, Pekalongan City as many as 103 as samples using the Krejcie and Morgan tables based on an error of 5%. Primary data collection methods are carried out by direct assistance to pregnant women and distributing questionnaires. The results of the analysis using the alpha test with the Black box technique showed that the functions of all the menus in SiBumil were successfully executed. For the feasibility test using the usability test, an average of 84% was obtained, indicating that this application is very feasible to use. For differences in knowledge using the Wilcoxon test, p value was obtained 0.000 < ? (0.05) so it was concluded that there was a difference in knowledge before and after the use of SiBumil.  Keywords: SiBumil, pregnant women, android based, pregnancy risk detection

Abstract

The presence of COVID-19 as a pandemic, determined by WHO, has destroyed all activities in society, including the people of Pekalongan city.  The Covid-19 virus, which initially had an impact on the health sector, it immediately turned out to also have a domino effect on other sectors, such as the economic, as well as the social one; including the tourism. Restrictions on human movement from one place to another, prohibition of crowding and avoiding crowds make tourist objects deserted by visitors. Considering this pandemic is not known when it will end, and then all parties must prepare themselves with a new custom adaptation order. Of course, it requires the readiness of all parties, both local governments and tourism actors in Pekalongan City. This study is a qualitative descriptive, and data collection is taken by conducting a survey to each object that is examined with a question guide.  The results of the study stated that the compliance of managers, employees and visitors in the modern market and hospitality area was high with a value from 85% to 100%. On the other hand, the compliance of managers, employees and visitors in the traditional market area of batik village, wholesaler, batik museum tourism with a compliance value of the Health protocol was from 50% to 75%. Furthermore, compliance of managers, employees and visitors in the Sari beach tourism area, open space areas, religious tourism and restaurants with a value of compliance with the Health protocol was from 20% to 60%. The majority of non-compliance is due to the absence of punishments for violations of Health protocols.  Keyword:   Covid-19, tourism, new normal

Abstract

Abstract  This study aims to determine the effect of tamarind eggplant extract added to feed on the growth of vannamei shrimp and to determine the dose of tamarind eggplant extract which gives the highest growth in vaname shrimp. This research was conducted on 17 December 2020 - 14 January 2021 at the Brackish and Marine Aquaculture Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries, Pekalongan University, Jalan Pantai Dewi No. 1, Slamaran Pekalongan. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment A (0 ml / L sour eggplant extract / kg feed), B (50 ml / L sour eggplant extract / kg feed), C (100 ml / L sour eggplant extract / kg feed), and D (150 ml / L sour eggplant extract / kg of feed). The results showed that the addition of tamarind eggplant extract at different doses to the feed had a very significant effect on the growth of vaname shrimp seeds. Treatment B had the best growth which was 5.05 gr, then treatment C was 4.33 gr, treatment D was 3.99 gr, and the lowest was treatment A was 3.05 gr.   Keywords: Vanname Shrimp, Tamarind Eggplant, Growth

Abstract

Welfare and poverty in an area are two things that are interrelated and affect each other. The increasing number and density of the population also have the potential to increase social problems and the level of welfare of the population. This has an effect on reducing job opportunities and growing family needs, which can increase the number of pre-prosperous families in Pekalongan City. The clustering of pre-prosperous, prosperous1, and prosperous families aims to determine the mapping of their distribution so that they can be used as material for decision-making and policies of related agencies. The method used to perform this clustering is the K-Means algorithm which emphasizes the data center of each cluster. The mapping results show that there are 10 urban villages that fall into cluster 1, 3 villages that fall into cluster 2, 11 villages that fall into cluster 3, and 3 villages that fall into cluster 4. Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the effectiveness of handling Covid-19 in Pekalongan City. The primary data of this research was obtained through focus group discussions (FGD) with the Covid-19 implementing officers in Pekalongan City and also the community. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that the handling of COVID-19 is categorized as successful, which is indicated by increased recovery and decreased mortality. For this reason, recommendations are formulated for local governments: 1) Consistency in compliance of the Task Force and OPD with Central Government regulations; 2) Strengthening coordination between the Task Force and OPD within the local government environment; 3) Accurate and effective delivery of education about Covid-19; 4) Enforcement of Perwal and general public compliance with Covid-19 health protocols; 5) Maximizing the role of religious leaders (ulama) in handling Covid-19; 6) Strengthening the community's economy during the pandemic through local government coordination. Abstract

This research was conducted in order to determine the extent to which work motivation, both internal and external motivations affect work productivity in micro, small and medium enterprises engaged in batik. The method we use is a qualitative descriptive method and the respondent data is 48 people who have a batik company (Tobal Batik). Increasing employee productivity is the responsibility of each agency. Through leaders, employees try their best to further increase their potential. Work productivity remains maximal, for the internal motivation variable is 2.825 while ttable is 1.678 so that it can be concluded that tcount (2.825) > ttable (1.678) and a significant value of 0.007 .0.1, automatically the hypothesis obtained is the existence of productivity at H? is accepted. For the tcount of the external motivation variable of 3,875, so it can be concluded that tcount (3.875) > ttable (1.678) and a significant value of 0.000 <0.1 so the hypothesis obtained that there is a significant influence of internal motivation on the productivity of H? is accepted. Currently the company's productivity returns to normal along with the number of orders or demand for goods. Basically, motivation is very important in supporting the productivity of work carried out by employees.
