Abstract

This study explores the role of corporate governance and financial transparency in reducing fraud within global financial markets from a legal perspective. Through an analysis of case studies and regulatory frameworks, it examines how robust governance mechanisms—such as independent boards, effective audit committees, and clear separation of CEO and chair roles—enhance financial transparency and accountability. Legal reforms, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, have proven effective in reducing fraud in developed markets but highlight enforcement challenges in emerging economies. The study also discusses emerging trends such as the integration of ESG criteria and the adoption of technologies like blockchain and AI, which offer new opportunities to improve transparency and governance. The findings suggest that a multi-faceted approach combining legal reforms, technological innovation, and cultural alignment is essential for building a resilient and trustworthy global financial system.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a key driver of economic change in the digital era, opening up new opportunities for growth and empowerment of communities. Leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and cloud -based platforms , this transformation enables broader access to global markets, increases business efficiency, and creates new economic models. This article discusses how digital technologies support community empowerment, particularly through the development of MSMEs, financial inclusiveness, and providing access to technology-based education. Digital platforms such as e-commerce and fintech play a critical role in empowering communities previously isolated from the formal economic system. In addition, this transformation also drives innovation in traditional sectors such as agriculture and fisheries through smart technology. However, the adoption of digital transformation faces significant challenges, including gaps in internet access, low digital literacy, and resistance to change. Therefore, collaboration between the government, private sector, and communities is important to ensure inclusivity in the implementation of this technology. Through an integrated approach, digital transformation can not only increase economic competitiveness, but also create a more empowered and equitable society amidst the challenges of the digital era. This article provides an in-depth look at the opportunities, challenges, and strategies to maximize the positive impact of digital transformation on the people's economy.

Abstract

A rise in radicalism and violence in Indonesia leads to important questions of how individuals be ‘radicalized’ that makes it difficult to combat radicalism. Hence, attempt to mitigate radicalism requires understanding the radicalization process and the concept of de-radicalization. This study aims at stimulating discussion on theories of radicalization and rethinking concepts of de-radicalization. This research addresses the question on how theories of radicalization process relate to efforts of de-radicalization through education applied recently in Indonesia. This study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of library research which uses theories of radicalization and concepts of de-radicalization as research data. This research critically analyses theories of de-radicalization on an attempt to mitigate radicalism through education. There are many models explaining the radicalization process toward an individual. Among the existing models of radicalization process, two influential models are Wiktorowicz’s model and Sinai’s model. Furthermore, based on researches of de-radicalization, concepts of Pressman and Golose give a comprehensive concept of de-radicalization and support efforts to mitigate radicalism through education. This study also proposes some strategies to mitigate radicalism in schools
