Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the supervision of the local government to protect the Kie Matubu Protected Forest Area, Tidore Islands City. This research uses interview method and document study. The data that has been collected was analyzed qualitatively and presented descriptively. The research was conducted at the North Maluku Forestry Service Office. This study found that: in Law No. 23 of 2014, authority was transferred to the provincial government, and based on the results of the study, researchers have obtained answers to existing problems, that the importance of local government supervision in protecting forests due to forest damage caused by irresponsible human actions, such as clearing new land for plantations by burning the forest first, this will result in flooding and landslides when it rains, where the benefits of protected forests should be for raw material providers, soil conservationists, water source providers, and plays an important role as a counterbalance to the environment. Responding to the facts above, the Government's role in this case must be more active in seeking regulations, socialization and the community must maintain the preservation of protected forests and maintain forest ecosystems so that damage does not occur, especially damage to the Kie Matubu Protected Forest area, Tidore Islands City, where in terms of Currently, the government has made various efforts, but there is no public awareness not to use protected forests as production forests or make private plantations without permission from the local government

Abstract

Abstract The wind speed in Indonesia is only around 3 meters/s to 12 meters/s, it is quite difficult to generate electricity on a large scale, it also makes the utilization of wind energy still very low. However, the wind potential in Indonesia is available almost all year round, so there is a possibility of developing technology to utilize this energy with some of the limitations mentioned above. Modifications of windmills need to be carried out which are adapted to low wind speed conditions to be able to produce optimal electrical energy. Therefore, a HAWT (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine) design was made using a NACA airfoil that has a high Cl/Cd value to produce 500 W of power at wind speeds of 1 meter/s – 12 meters/s. The research was conducted in 3 stages. The first step is the calculation to determine the radius, chord, and twist of the blade. The two initial design stages of the blade are carried out in a simulation using QBlade software to determine the NACA airfoil used and determine the performance coefficient and the resulting power. The three stages of blade design use Solidworks software which produces a 3D blade design. The design results produce a HAWT blade with a taperless NACA 2412 airfoil with a blade radius of 0.75 m, 0.12 m chord width, and a twist angle of 5.42°-15.46°. At a wind speed of 10 m/s, the blades have a maximum Cp of 49%, maximum power of 923 W at an angular speed of 1000 rpm, and a minimum power of 90 W at an angular speed of 200 rpm. The average power generated is 567W.

Abstract

Wind energy is one of the most popular renewable energy alternatives. In the use of wind energy, of course, tools and technology are needed to process and process the energy conversion process. One technology that can be applied is wind turbines. Wind turbines are able to convert the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical motion which is used to drive a generator that converts mechanical motion into electrical energy. From this case, the part of the windmill that plays a significant role in the process of converting wind energy is the blade. Therefore it is necessary to design a good blade based on field research so as to create a blade design that is able to work optimally according to the characteristics of the blade installation site. From the problems above, the authors are motivated to explore the process of making blades, and the process of making blades on the Wind Turbine is carried out with the Taper type with Airfoil NACA 6510 which consists of designing, selecting materials, machining processes. The material used for the process of making blades on the Taper Wind Turbing with Airfoil NACA 6510 is mahogany wood. The results of the process of making blades on a Taper Wind Turbine with Airfoil NACA 6510 obtained a radius of 0.8 m, linear chord from 0.113 – 0.70 m, torsion angle 12,580 – 5,580

Abstract

This article aims to examine the importance of understanding the nature of science for science teachers as a solution in teaching multidimensional science. Science is a knowledge (scientific product), a series of investigation processes (scientific process), and scientific attitude which is reflected in the nature of Science (Nature of Science). NOS describes the real science, how it works, and its interaction with society in the perspectives of philosophy, history, sociology, and psychology of science. Understanding NOS is an important aspect of scientific literacy. The results of research in recent times show that teachers and students do not understand the concept of NOS optimally. This study uses literature analysis. The results show that NOS is divided into three main aspects, namely the nature of scientific knowledge, the nature of scientific investigation and the nature of scientific endeavor. understanding the concept of NOS must be an important part to be instilled in science teachers. Learning science is not just knowing natural objects, but science has a wider study dimension than that, which needs to be studied from the ontological, epistemological and axiological side. Teachers must master how to teach science, how the impact or influence of science learning and what influences science learning. Thus, understanding the NOS concept of science teachers will have an impact on students' mastery of understanding the NOS concept.

Abstract

This study is one of the efforts to examine the literature because there is still limited reconstruction of the original science that developed in society into scientific science. This study can then be developed and applied by students as a source of independent learning. The study of local potential in science learning is very important to do, considering that not many have comprehensively analyzed this topic. The local potential that exists in each region can be a wealth of references in learning. Local potential in the form of natural resources, language, customs, arts and can be a wealth of food. Since ancient times, the role of food has been studied as an ingredient to fulfill nutritional needs. Without realizing it, food, especially traditional food, has become the identity of a nation. Traditional food can be a reflection of the geographical, social and cultural conditions that are unique to a nation. This research is important to do so that the potential for research can be known and can be used as a consideration in developing further learning designs. The purpose of this study is to reconstruct the concept of science learning to increase local food preferences into scientific science, as well as to explain science material related to the reconstruction of original science in the process of making traditional food.
