Abstract

Students who relocate far from their families often grapple with the challenges of adjusting to a new environment, which frequently leads to feelings of loneliness. This loneliness, prevalent among students living away from home, can impede personal growth and have detrimental effects on their well-being if left unaddressed. The primary objective of this study is to explore and characterize the experience of loneliness among regional students. Employing a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological approach, individual analysis units were utilized. The study participants comprised three undergraduate students who had relocated for over three years and had encountered loneliness during their migration. Purposive sampling was employed to select participants, and data were gathered through semi-structured interviews. The Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) technique was applied for data analysis. The findings of the analysis yielded five main themes: the conceptualization of loneliness, manifestations of loneliness, the impact of loneliness, triggers of loneliness, and coping strategies for loneliness. Each migrating undergraduate student possesses a unique perspective on loneliness. Loneliness manifests in various forms, such as experiencing isolation in their living environment and on-campus. Furthermore, loneliness adversely affects motivation, disrupts sleep patterns, and heightens emotional sensitivity. The study also revealed that loneliness intensifies in the absence of activities and when confronted with the challenges of living away from home. Various coping mechanisms, including social interaction, engaging in activities, journaling, and accepting one's current situation, were employed to mitigate loneliness during migration. The study's implications underscore the importance of educating migrant students about the nature of loneliness and assisting parents in sensitively addressing the phenomenon of loneliness among migrating students.

Abstract

Changing the constitution is a routine part of national governance. In Indonesian society, there are various views regarding the fifth amendment to the constitution. One perspective advocates for maintaining the fourth amendment, while another supports further amendment. A third group advocates for reverting to the original 1945 constitution. However, any amendments should be conducted meticulously, consistently, and comprehensively to enhance the Indonesian constitutional framework. The primary focus should be on returning sovereignty to the people by promoting participatory democracy and good governance.

Abstract

They provide a solution without considering the potential future consequences. Consumers of online lending services often face difficulties that have a significant influence on them. One such issue is the discomfort, feelings of blackmail, dread, and intimidation experienced throughout the process of collecting payments. In addition to breaking the law, this online lender's actions violate human rights, as stated in Article 29 Paragraph (1) and Article 30 of Law No. 39 of 1999 concerning Human Rights. With the passage of laws like Law 8 of 1999, Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 77/POJK.01/2016, and Law Number 19 of 2016, customers and service users of online loans are hoping for some sort of official protection. This one is on a lower level. So, the author hopes for betterment and enlightenment in the realm of government.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the impact of TikTok's 'For Your Page' videos on the spread of false or slanderous information about Islam. Using quantitative research methods, questionnaires will be distributed to TikTok users to evaluate their perceptions of content that may lead to the spread of false or harmful information about Islam. Through analysis of the data collected, this research aims to understand the extent to which TikTok videos influence people's views on Islam and identify potential risks of spreading false information. The research will also explore the challenges faced in dealing with this phenomenon. By focusing on factors such as content ranking algorithms and the lack of effective filter mechanisms, this research will provide insight into the constraints that can amplify the spread of false information.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to obtain information and clarity regarding the evaluation analysis of history learning based on the Edmodo application at SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak. This research uses qualitative research methods in descriptive form. The data sources for this research are history subject teachers, curriculum leaders, students and data in the form of interview results. The results of the research can be concluded that. (1) in planning history learning using the Edmodo application, the teacher has planned learning evaluation activities to be achieved on competency achievement indicators, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. (2) in implementing history learning based on the Edmodo application, the teacher gives questions and assignments with a time limit to improve cognitive and affective aspects, while in the psychomotor aspect, the teacher gives students assignments for making videos. (3) the obstacles encountered while using the Edmodo application as a media for evaluating history learning are students' lack of attention to the teacher's instructions in the process of working on questions and some students often experience network problems when doing assignments using this application.

Abstract

The international court is the last place that countries in the world turn to when they experience deadlock in resolving the conflict they are experiencing. As a court that adjudicates problems at the international level, it certainly has a significant role and contribution to resolving a case or conflict that is currently occurring. This research uses normative and historical legal analysis methods with a qualitative approach to examine the ICJ decision in this case. This research found that the ICJ attempted to remain neutral in resolving this dispute by considering the legal arguments of both parties objectively and impartially. The ICJ also considered historical and archaeological evidence submitted by both countries. This research concludes that the ICJ's neutrality in resolving the Preah Vihear Temple dispute is questionable. Although the ICJ attempted to remain objective and impartial, its ruling did not satisfy either side. This shows that the ICJ's neutrality in resolving disputes between countries may be difficult to achieve, especially in cases involving struggles over territory and national identity.

Abstract

Educational leadership is a way that is inherent in a leader in carrying out his duties through the people he leads in educational institutions. Educational institutions in Indonesia consist of state educational institutions and private educational institutions. Leadership in private educational institutions, both schools and universities, is essentially obtained through stages that have been determined by government regulations and adapted to the policies or regulations of private institutions without reducing what has been stipulated in government regulations to serve as guidelines. This research aims to provide an overview of educational leadership in private educational institutions regarding how to obtain it and their responsibilities in leading. The research method used is a library research by exploring information through literature regarding situational leadership in private educational institutions. Situational leadership style is an approach to leadership that encourages leaders to understand their behavior, the behavior of subordinates, and the situation before using a particular leadership style.

Abstract

In accordance with the ruling of the Constitutional Court under Decision Number 97/PUU-XI/2013, the Constitutional Court no longer holds the authority to adjudicate disputes concerning the outcomes of direct local elections, as the provisions of Article 236C of Law Number 12 of 2008 are inconsistent with the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Article 157 paragraph (1) of Law Number 8 of 2015 specifies that the resolution of disputes over regional election results falls directly within the purview of a specialized judicial entity. However, prior to the establishment of such a specialized judicial entity, the Constitutional Court retained the authority to adjudicate disputes over the outcomes of direct regional elections. The authority of the Constitutional Court is a temporary constitutional mandate to address legal vacuums. Hence, lawmakers must promptly establish a specialized judicial entity endowed with the authority to resolve disputes over the outcomes of direct regional elections.

Abstract

The phenomenon of unmanaged waste generation due to lack of public awareness requires effective education methods, especially from an early age. For this reason, a motion graphic-based educational media was designed which can provide interesting, educative and informative information to elementary school students when visiting the Garbage Education Village. This motion graphic media will include a basic explanation of types of waste, an explanation of 3R waste processing, steps for waste processing, as well as the causes and consequences of waste management. The aim of this media is to increase awareness and help children understand the importance of waste management through a fun and interesting approach. The research method used to design this media includes qualitative and quantitative analysis by collecting primary data through interviews and observations with interested parties such as the Head of the RT Kampung Edukasi Sampah, elementary school students who visited the place, and motion graphics experts. Apart from that, secondary data from literature studies was also used. Quantitative methods are also used by compiling questionnaires to collect data which is analyzed to identify suitable design ideas. In designing this motion graphic, using simple Indonesian language and a bright pastel color palette were chosen to arouse children's interest. Attractive characters are also used to reinforce aspects of the design that appeal to children. It is hoped that with this motion graphic media, the message about the importance of good waste management can be conveyed effectively and informatively to elementary school students in grades 4 to 6 or the equivalent of ages 9 to 12 years, so that they learn better environmental awareness and can play an active role in reducing waste generation in Indonesia.
