Abstract

Pada proses pembuatan produk berbahan biji plastik perlu adanya media maupun peralatan yang mendukung dalam menghasilkan produk berbahan plastik. Oleh karena itu, untuk memudahkan dalam melakukan suatu, maka akan dilakukan perencanaan dan perancangan mesin pencetak injeksi biji plastik. Mekanisme kerja mesin injection molding yaitu ketika saklar ON maka poros screw berputar pada putaran 31 rpm dan biji plastik dari feed hopper turun kebawah masuk kedalam barrel untuk dilelehkan menggunakan heater dengansuhu 200o C. Biji plastik yang telah meleleh kemudian masuk kedalam cetakan untuk dibentuk dan didinginkan, setelah selesai produk plastik akan dikeluarkan dari cetakan.

Abstract

Pengendalian korosi adalah aspek yang dianggap penting secara teknis, ekonomis, dan estetika. Inhibitor menjadi salah satu bagian dari pengendalian korosi yang bekerja menekan lajuĀ  korosi dengan meminimalisir reaksi logam dengan lingkungan. Penggunaan inhibitor dianggap mudah dan efektif pada pengaplikasian pada area tertentu (in situ). Green Inhibitor merupakan inhibitor yang dapat terurai secara biologis, tidak mengandung logam berat, biasanya di hasilkan dari ekstrak tanaman dan buah buahan. Jambu biji merah (Psidium Guajava) merupakan tanaman yang memiliki populasi dan produksi yang besar dimana sampah daun kering yang dihasilkan belum dimanfaatkan optimal. Daun jambu biji merah memiliki kandungan tannin yang memiliki kemampuan sebagai inhibitor korosi. Larutan inhibitor hasil ekstraksi daun jambu biji merah dengan metode maserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut air dilakukan dan dibandingkan dengan ekstrak daun jambu merah pabrikan yang dilarutkan dalam air untuk menguji kemampuan inhibisinya dalam media korosif asam maupun garam. Dilaporkan penambahan ekstrak daun jambu biji merah menurunkan laju korosi pada baja ASME SA36 baik melalui proses ekstraksi dengan menggunakan maserasi menggunakan pelarut aquades maupun menggunakan ekstrak pabrikan yang dilarutkan dalam air, pada kedua media korosif. Larutan inhibitor hasil ekstrasi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut air efektif menghambat laju korosi 27% pada media korosi air laut, sedangkan untuk media korosif HCl penambahan ekstrak pabrikan yang dilarutkan dalam air efektif menghambat 55% korosi.

Abstract

Seiring dengan berkembangnya dunia otomotif mengakibatkan pencemaran udara yang terus meningkat. Polutan yang dihasilkan berupa gas karbon monoksida (CO), hidrokarbon (HC), dan nitrogen dioksida (NOx). Salah satu cara untuk mereduksi konsentrasi emisi gas buang adalah dengan pemasangan catalytic converter (CC). Pada penelitian ini akan dibuat catalytic converter dengan bahan baku tembaga dengan variasi diameter lubang 2 mm, 4 mm, dan 6 mm. Tahap pengujian hasil kerja catalytic converter yang telah dibuat dilakukan dengan cara pengujian emisi, uji daya, dan uji torsi menggunakan gas analyzer dan chassis dyno test. Pengukuran emisi gas buang mengacu pada SNI-19-7118.3-2005. Sampel pembanding yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan Vega ZR 2011. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi diameter lubang katalis 2 mm merupakan variasi terbaik dalam menurunkan emisi gas buang. Kadar gas CO dan HC turun berturut-turut sebesar 41% dan 53%. Hasil torsi paling tinggi pada catalytic converter dengan variasi diameter lubang 2 mm sebesar 8,45 N.m pada putaran mesin 5000 rpm. Hasil daya paling tinggi pada catalytic converter dengan variasi lubang 2 mm sebesar 5,89 kW pada putaran mesin 7500 rpm.

Abstract

As a campus that has a maritime mission, Madura State Polytechnic has made a master plan for campus development by building a shipyard. This is also supported by the campus located on the beach. In preparing the shipyard, facilities are very important, so a careful planning is needed in doing the layout. In this paper, we will propose a layout process based on the production flow pattern of shipbuilding, comparison with the layout design using the CORELAP algorithm method, by calculating the percentage value of material handling and planning tools and facilities for the POLTERA shipyard. The facility layout planning obtained new and repaired building types with an area of ??5.16 hectares and a layout design with an L layout production flow pattern. The design had a material handling percentage value of 21.62%.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago country which consist of several large islands and thousands of small islands. According to the latest data, a total of 17.504 islands exist in Indonesian, which 6.000 are inhabited islands. Small islands with an area of ??less than 2.000 m2 do not have sufficient clean water sources or even none at all. Many solutions have been developed regarding the clean water crisis, which one is to provide a distilling seawater into clean water or what the local government calls the desalination system. However, it did not work effectively because the cost of equipments maintenance was quite expensive. In this study, a water transportation for distributing portable desalination machines or systems and other logistical needs between island is designed. Due to the lack of adequate docks and loading facilities on many islands, the researchers took the initiative to design a Hovercraft, an Amphibious Ship to simplify the distribution and loading process on land. The design process is carried out using the sister ship method by considering the size of the object to be distributed so that the length = 13.2 m, Width = 6.7 m, Aluminum material, with a total weight = 19 tons, Speed ??= 50 knots, and the design refers to the Carrier type of Hovercraft. Based on these data, the total lifting capacity is 1909.44 HP and the thrust is 695.61 HP.

Abstract

Cargo Ship Planning is very important for sea transport. One of the important factors in ship planning is the determination of the anchor and mooring system which functions as a tool to limit the motion of the ship when it is anchored outside the port, so that the ship remains in its position even though it is under pressure from sea currents, wind and waves.. The formulation of the problem in this study is the number of anchors and the motor power of the anchor system on a cargo ship based on the BKI class. The purpose of this study is to determine the number of anchors and the motor power of the anchor system on a cargo ship based on the BKI class. The research method of anchor system analysis was carried out by using a literature study method based on BKI class 2014 volume II. The conclusion of this research is knowing the number of anchors as much as 2 pieces, the length of the anchor chain with the anchor chain length of 522.5 m, the diameter of the anchor chain is 60 mm, and the motor power of the windlass is 1.7 HP. While the length of the mooring rope along the 280 m is 4 pieces

Abstract

Nowadays, there are a lot of new breakthroughs in material technology. One of the them is the use of Sandwich panel Material. Sandwich panel is a material that consist of two steel plates separated by a core part. On its application on ship, Sandwich panel will get repetitive force from the outside. This research will identify multiple damages with vibration characteristic approach with the experimental method and finite element analysis. Effect of defect on Sandwich Panel core material based on the experimental result is a decrease in natural frequency means of 1.64 percent.

Abstract

Bioconversion has indeed begun to be developed a lot recently. Through this process, the nutrient content in organic waste can be formed into other forms of nutrients, namely biomass with the help of insect larvae, one of which is the insect larvae of Hermetia illucens / Black Soldier Fly (BSF). Larvae of this type are often used as bioconversion agents and are better known as "maggots". One example of its use is in the form of maggot pellets. From the results of the survey conducted, the tools used to make maggot pellets are still simple so that they produce pellets that are not optimal. The redesign of this maggot pellet molding machine will apply a single motor system for dual drives, namely the extruder shaft and the cutter shaft. The working mechanism of the maggot pellet molding machine is that when the machine is turned on, the screw shaft in the barrel will rotate according to the motor rotation and the dough from the feed hopper drops down into the barrel for processing. The dough that has been processed is then removed through the mold.

Abstract

Saat ini perkembangan teknologi meningkat begitu pesat, hal ini menyebabkan sektor home industry maupun industry skala besar harus bisa mengikutinya, seperti halnya industri kreatif harus bisa mengikuti berkembangan teknologi tersebut. Oleh karena itu didalam sektor perkembangan home industri kreatif seperti halnya pengrajin pembuataan karangan bunga dengan bahan styrofoam membutuhkan teknologi tepat guna untuk mengahasilkan hasil yang efektif dan efisien yang dapat dilihat dari kualitas maupun kuantitas hasil produksi. Alat pemotong untuk tulisan pada karangan bunga dengan bahan styrofoam adalah suatu alat yang dapat memotong styrofoam dengan otomatis yang dapat berguna bagi pengrajin pembuatan papan karangan bunga. Dengan adanya alat ini dapat meningkatkan hasil produksi dari pengrajin.Kata Kunci:

Abstract

Based on data from the Sumenep Health Office, the number of positive confirmed cases of Covid on Talango Island was 9 people and 1 person died. One of the reasons is that there are no corona treatment facilities on the island, so they have to be referred to the Sumenep Regency hospital by boat. In this study, the design of a speed boat ambulance specifically for Covid-19 patients with a catamaran hull type. The purpose of the speed boat ambulance design is to handle island patients, especially Covid-19 cases during sea journeys to Sumenep Hospital with adequate facilities. The research method is carried out by determining the main size of the ship using the sister ships method, then proceeding with drawing lines plan, calculating ship resistance along with determining engine power, and general arrangement. The results obtained are in the form of the main size of the ship in the form of a Catamaran ship type; LOA : 13.0 m; B : 7.0 m; H : 2.0 m; T : 1.2 m; Vs : 16 knot. Has 3 accommodation rooms, including a patient room for 2 people; Medical staff room with 1 doctor, 2 medical staff and 2 patient's families; The wheelhouse with 2 crew members.
