Abstract

Application of the SAS Method to Improve Reading Ability in Indonesian Language Learning in Class II MI NW Aik Bukaq Academic Year 2022/2023. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program, Tarbiyah Faculty, Hamzanwadi Islamic Institute, NW, East Lombok, 2023. Reading is one of the aspects studied in key Indonesian language lessons or a source of knowledge possessed by a person is obtained through reading. This research aims to find out whether the SAS (Synthetic Structural Analytical) method can improve the reading ability of Class 2 MI NW AIK BUKAQ, and to determine the improvement in reading through the application of the SAS (Synthetic Structural Analytical) method for Class 2 MI NW AIK BUKAQ students. The method used in this research is the PTK method. The method used by PTK refers to the planning, implementation, observation and reflection model. The data from this research were obtained using observation sheets, and initial reading assessment rubrics, then this data was analyzed using a percentage formula. The results of the research obtained were that the increase in students' reading ability was obtained in cycle 1 which was 83% and in cycle II the increase in students' reading ability was 94%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that applying the SAS method can improve students' reading abilities.

Abstract

The problem that occurs in Social Sciences learning is the low learning outcomes of students. This is because the learning model applied is less effective. Based on the results of observations and interviews with class IV social studies teachers at MIS NW Lendang Ara, it was found that social studies learning outcomes were always low on social issues material. This can be seen from not achieving the KKM which should be 70, but is always below the KKM. As a result of observations, it appears that teachers have not implemented learning models in social studies learning, even though there are many innovative social studies learning models. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the Project Based Learning learning model on the learning outcomes of class IV students in Social Sciences subjects at MIS NW Lendang Ara. This research is quantitative research with an experimental type, data collection using tests and questionnaires. The results of this research are that there is an influence of the project based learning model on the learning outcomes of class VI students in natural resources and economic activities. The average value of the experimental class students' learning outcomes was 79.2%, while the control class obtained an average of the results. student learning was 68.67%. In this way, the project based learning model through social studies subjects can be used by teachers in schools to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Character is a reflection of a person's self. In forming character, it is necessary to apply good values, especially to the religious character of MI students. Some students have bad behavior The behavior that the researcher meant was: there are still students who call their teachers loudly and also dishonest with their teachers such as permission to go to the bathroom during class hours but do not come back after recess and then return to class so it cannot be said to be commendable behavior because it is important to instill good values to shape the religious character of students, especially in MI students where their thinking is still labile and quickly accepts the changes of this era. This study aims to determine how the implementation of the Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) concept on the religious character of class V MI NW students segaet. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, data collection is carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The result of this study is that the concept of Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) learning on the religious character of grade V students is relevant to character education in class V MI NW segaet, it is shown that there are 6 pillars of Faith, 5 pillars of Islam. In the Emotional Spiritual Quostient (ESQ) concept, principles taken from the pillars of faith and pillars of Islam are taught, as for the implementation of the Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) learning concept on the religious character of grade V students, there are several ways of applying the Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) concept such as getting used to saying greetings to anyone, especially when entering class and getting used to praying before starting learning and before going home from school and being taught to always respect obeying parents and teachers, Always do good to everyone, care for others and the environment and are taught to be polite.

Abstract

This study examines the urgency of parental guidance in enhancing students' learning motivation in farming families, specifically in two Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Bagik Payung Village. Farming families often face economic and educational challenges that affect their children's learning motivation. The purpose of this research is to identify the role of parental guidance in increasing students' learning motivation within farming families. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that parental guidance plays a significant role in enhancing students' learning motivation. Parents who actively guide their children, despite limited resources, can encourage them to perform better in school. The conclusion of this research underscores the importance of parents' roles in their children's education, especially among farming families. The implications of this study include recommendations for schools and the government to increase parental involvement in education to support students' learning motivation.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika adalah pembelajaran yang dapat melatih kemampuan untuk berpikir analitis, logis dan sistematis dalam menyelesaikan suatu masalah. Namun masih banyak ditemukan siswa yang belum bisa berhitung atau kesulitan berhitung. Maka dari itu untuk mengatasi kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh siswa diciptakanlah sebuah alat permainan edukasi dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan permainan edukasi kincir angka dalam pembelajaran matematika . Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa permainan edukasi kincir angka dapat melatih kemampuan berhitung pada siswa serta mengenali operasi matematika dasar seperti penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian dan pembagian. Siswa terlihat sangat aktif dan antusias saat mencoba permainan tersebut. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan alat permainan edukasi kincir angka dapat memberikan pemahaman dalam berhitung pada siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of rotating wheel media in encouraging the learning interest of grade V students of SDN 31 Cakranegara. Problems in the learning process can occur, one of which is that the media used is not appropriate. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method and the collection of data use techniques using field research and library research. The results of the experiment of spinning wheel media in grade V of SDN 31 Cakranegara showed that students showed interest in learning when using spinning wheel media, this was shown by the enthusiastic attitude of students during the learning process.

Abstract

One of the skills students must have is reading skills. Even so, there are still many students who have not mastered this skill. Of the 29 2nd graders, only 11 have read well. This is the basis for researchers to provide reading tutoring through the BABACA program. In its implementation, researchers also use media such as word puzzles as an attraction in learning to read. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Based on the BABACA program and the use of word puzzle media that has been carried out, the results were found in the form of the development of students' reading skills. Of the five students who received guidance, there was only one student who did not have the progress of developing their abilities. Word puzzle media also has a positive impact on its utilisation. Students look happy and excited to break the letter arrangement of the words mentioned by the teacher.

Abstract

Some errors that occur in the learning process are the teacher's lack of effectiveness in using learning media. This results in learning mathematics becoming boring and not of interest to students. So here it is necessary to apply a variety of learning media in mathematics learning, such as the use of snakes and ladders media in mathematics learning. This research aims to analyze and describe the use of Snakes and Ladders Media in mathematics learning. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with the variable in this research being the scope of mathematics learning content. Documents used include teacher books and student books. The methods used in collecting data are observation, experimentation and pretest-posttest techniques. The data from this research were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The research subjects were objects, namely the snakes and ladders game media and 5th grade elementary school mathematics learning student books. The research subjects of the informants were: Principal, Class 5 Teacher and 30 Class 5 students. With pretest scoring results of 23% before using the media and post test scoring results of 50% after using the media, so there was an increase in scoring results of 27%.

Abstract

Abstrak Republik Indonesia menduduki peringkat ketujuh terendah, atau peringkat ke-72 dari total 79 negara, pada bagian matematika pada studi Program for International Student Assessment, yang juga disebut PISA, tahun 2018. Hal ini menunjukkan betapa buruknya literasi matematika anak Indonesia dibandingkan negara lain. Numerasi adalah nama lain dari literasi matematika. Numerasi terdiri dari tiga bagian: operasi matematika, interaksi angka, dan penghitungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif analisis deskriptif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penggunaan media papan pintar berhitung terhadap numerasi peserta didik kelas IV. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 39 Ampenan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di SD Negeri 39 Ampenan, penggunaan papan pintar berhitung ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam penguasaan materi dasar matematika. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan ditemukannya beberapa siswa yang belum memahami konsep perkalian dan pembagian pada awal observasi, setelah peneliti menggunakan media papan pintar berhitung untuk menyelesaikan soal dasar perkalian dan pembagian matematika dasar seluruh siswa mampu menyelesaikan dan memahami konsepnya. Abstract Indonesia was ranked seventh lowest, or 72nd out of 79 countries, in the mathematics category of the Program for International Student Assessment study, also known as PISA, in 2018. This shows how low the mathematics literacy of Indonesian children is compared to other countries. Literacy in mathematics is also referred to as numeracy. Numeration consists of three aspects, namely counting, numeration relations, and arithmetic operations. The method used in this research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis approach. The aim of this research is to determine the use of smart numeracy media on the numeracy of class IV students. The subjects of this research involved all class IV students at SD Negeri 39 Ampenan. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, tests and documentation. Based on the results of research conducted at SD Negeri 39 Ampenan, the use of smart counting boards can improve students' ability to master basic mathematics material. This was proven by the discovery that several students did not understand the concept of multiplication and division at the beginning of the observation. The researcher used a smart counting board to solve basic multiplication and division math problems. All students were able to complete and understand the concepts.

Abstract

Teaching aids are objects that are used to assist in the process of conveying information, demonstrations, learning tools, or demonstrations of a particular concept or concepts. In this article the author will explain one of the teaching aids, namely, the Calculation Board. A counting board or PAHIT is a teaching aid used to calculate repeated multiplication, division, addition and subtraction materials. Using this counting board can train children to think quickly and more easily understand the concepts of multiplication and division. At the concrete operational age (7-11 years), elementary school age children generally have difficulty understanding abstract mathematics. Therefore, learning media is needed that can provide solutions to increase students' interest in learning. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods through observation, interviews and documentation. This writing aims to develop calculating board learning media as a medium that can help students' understanding of starting calculations in mathematics subjects. Through this multiplication board media, it is hoped that class II students will be able to think actively in understanding the concepts of multiplication and division so that students can improve their mathematics learning outcomes.Key Word : arithmetic concept, counting board media, mathematics.
