Abstract

The purpose of this research is to test the Discovery Learning Model on the Material of the Human Digestive System. The discovery learning model was chosen because it provides opportunities for each student to actively participate in discovering concepts through concrete examples, pictures, and information from books. This research is an action research (action research), because the research was conducted to solve learning problems in the classroom. This research also includes descriptive research, because it describes how a learning technique is applied and how the desired results can be achieved. This research was conducted from September to November 2019. From this study it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning Model can increase learning motivation in the digestive system material in humans in class VIII-A students of SMP Negeri 2 Pare Kediri Regency odd semester of the 2019/2020 Academic Year of 42, 85%, where in cycle 1 it increased by 50% to 92.85% in cycle 2. The Discovery Learning model can improve learning outcomes in the digestive system material in humans for class VIII-A students of SMP Negeri 2 Pare, Kediri Regency, odd semester of the 2019/2020 Academic Year which is shown in the increase in classical completeness of 15.38% where in cycle 1 it was 74.36% increasing to 89.74% in cycle 2. The increase in classical completeness was also followed by an increase in the class average value of 7.34 from 75.76 in cycle 1 to 83.1 in cycle 2.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to explore trends in artificial intelligence research in education over the past 20 years. The method used to explore research trends is literature review through bibliometric analysis. The results of bibliometric analysis identify the core research or authors, as well as their relationships, by covering all related publications or specific fields. Publications related to artificial intelligence in education from 2003-2023 are taken from international journals indexed by Google Scholar. Research trends of artificial intelligence in education are visualized using the Vosviewer program. The results showed that the trend of artificial intelligence research in education is vulnerable in the last 20 years, namely artificial intelligence, future trends, educational programs, databases, students and technology.

Abstract

The TikTok application is popular with the public as an information medium. The TikTok application is used by students, the TikTok application has makeup filters that can be a source of basic corrective makeup course makeup ideas. This can be a medium of learning so that students become interested. This study aims to utilize TikTok in the learning process by implementing project based learning in basic corrective makeup courses. This study used descriptive qualitative method. In this study using observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. The findings of this study can describe (1) the reasons for lecturers using the TikTok makeup filter application as a source of makeup inspiration, and applying a project based le arning model so that learning is interesting and accepted by students. (2) The results of utilizing the TikTok makeup filter application have an influence on the learning process in achieving goals and effectiveness in basic corrective makeup courses (3) Obstacles and efforts in utilizing the TikTok makeup filter application, namely an unstable network.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparative differences in the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning and jigsaw learning models on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students' mathematics using the meta-analysis method. The first step that must be done in this research is to determine the problem. The second step is searching for research journal data on the internet via Google Scholar. After completing the data search, the researcher obtained 20 appropriate journals. The third step is to analyze the research data to obtain strong results and conclusions, and the fourth or final step is to report the results of the research by conveying the important parts of the research results obtained. The results of the comparison of the Problem Based Learning learning model show an average increase of 24.81% then the Jigsaw learning model of 24.6%. The Ancova test using Univariate shows that the sig value is 0.00 which means it is less than 0.05 (0.00 <0.05). From the Ancova test it shows that f count > f table is -3,569 < -1,734 and the significance is 0.00 <0.05 which indicates that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This shows that there is a significant difference in the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model and the Jigsaw learning model in improving critical thinking skills in mathematics subjects in elementary school students. Based on data processing, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning model is more effective than the Jigsaw learning model for elementary school students' mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Game based learning is game-based learning that involves games in the educational process, aiming to increase learning activities. The purpose of this study is to capture research landscapes related to game-based learning in high school learning from 2005 to 2023. The method used is bibliometric analysis. The database used in collecting the necessary related information is from the Scopus database. Game based learning research publications in secondary schools from 2005 to 2023 have experienced an increase in recent years. The highest number of citations was in 2013. The United States of America is the most influential country in this field. The focus of research related to Game based learning in secondary schools is, 1) computational thinking and understanding; 2) science, technology and development; 3) experience and environment. New themes related to Game based learning research in secondary schools are self-efficacy, computational creativity, inquiry, ar technology and mathematical problems.

Abstract

Learning Indonesian in elementary schools often encounters several obstacles, one of which is the activeness of students in participating in learning. These conditions can affect student learning outcomes in these subjects. The purpose of this study is to increase the activity of students in learning Indonesian by using wordwall media and applying the PBL learning model. This study used a class action research method with 28 IC class students as subjects at SDN Purwantoro 1 Malang City. This research was conducted in two cycles with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed that the application of the PBL learning model with Wordwall media at SDN Purwantoro 1 Malang class 1C could increase the activeness of students in learning Indonesian. In the pre-cycle activities, the activeness of the students was only 50%, while in the first cycle it increased to 62.85%. Whereas in cycle II the activity greatly increased to 86.42%. It can be concluded that the application of the PBL learning model with Wordwall media can increase student activity in learning Indonesian in elementary school.

Abstract

Based on observations made in Class I-A SDN Purwantoro 1 Malang, learning mathematics has its weaknesses. The lecturer uses the lecture method to give a flat awakening material. In pre-campaign results, only 15 of her 28 students scored above the lowest score. This research aims to describe the application of problem-based learning models to improve mathematics learning outcomes. In his research he employs two cycles. Each cycle consists of four phases: plan, do, observe, and reflect. Data collection was by observation, interviews, field notes, testing, and documentation. Research results using problem-based learning models to learn the mathematics of plane geometry are making good progress. In cycle 1, the teacher activity score was 93.54% in the very good category, in cycle 2 there was a 100% increase in the very good category, in cycle 1 the student activity score was 83.15% in the "good" category, and cycle 2 increased by 93%. fall into the very good category. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that applying a problem-based learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students in the mathematics subject Recognition of Plane Shapes in Class I of SDN Purwantoro 1 Malang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in learning outcomes by applying the PBL Model and board question games to the science learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN Purwantoro 1 Malang city in the 2022/2023 academic year. In this case the research that will be carried out is research using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method, the research that will be carried out will involve students who are in class while carrying out learning or can be called Classroom Action Research. the application of the PBL Model and Game Board Questions to fourth grade students at SD Negri Purwantoro 1 City of Malang can improve student learning outcomes, it can be seen from the data taken by the researchers showing that there was an increase from cycle I student learning outcomes reached 60.71%, but after the action was taken there was an increase in student learning outcomes to 89.28% this figure showed that it had reached 75% of the desired minimum target category.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of job satisfaction and work atmosphere in increasing the competitiveness of private schools. The research population is teachers in private schools in Jakarta. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and field observations, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that there are factors that influence job satisfaction and work atmosphere in private schools, including effective communication, leadership support, a conducive work environment, and rewards for good performance. There are also differences in perceptions between teachers and administrative staff regarding some aspects of job satisfaction and work atmosphere. There are differences between expectations and performance in several aspects of job satisfaction and work atmosphere in private schools. This demonstrates the potential for improving performance and improving the unsatisfactory state of affairs in terms of job satisfaction and working atmosphere in private schools. This finding is consistent with relevant previous research results. Therefore, it is recommended that private schools pay attention to the factors that affect job satisfaction and work atmosphere, and make efforts to improve performance and meet the expectations of teachers and administrative staff in order to increase the competitiveness of schools.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is an intracurricular curriculum in which the material is maximized so that students have more time to develop learning ideas and expand their competency. The Mobilizing School's role in implementing the Independent Curriculum is to create an operational curriculum that satisfies the learning requirements of students. Schools also provide infrastructure and human resources to facilitate the Independent Curriculum's implementation. In this study, a qualitative descriptive approach was used to describe the topic about the circumstances and information gathered during the observation, as well as the challenges encountered, so that it became valuable knowledge and input to policymakers in revising the curriculum. The findings of this study reveal that the Independent Curriculum has been implemented maximally and stably in Mobilizing Schools, albeit there are still numerous inadequacies and challenges to its implementation. The ability of school leaders and teachers to implement changes is critical in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Mobilizing Schools. The principle, as a leader and facilitator, must be able to influence the mentality of the human data source staff in order to carry out reforms at the school and ensure that the Independent Curriculum is implemented efficiently.
