Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of deconstructing gender roles in the domestic space using a Bollywood film entitled Ki & Ka, with the binary opposition of patriarchal culture that is, deconstructing is carried out by reserving the binary opposition. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research with the method used in analyzing the data is descriptive analysis with the theoretical perspective of Jaques Derrida's deconstruction. The results of the study show that the deconstruction in the film Ki & Ka has succeeded in making Kabir fulfill his role as the controller of domestic space in his household with Kia. Abstract

Zavilda TV is a YouTube channel created by a veiled Muslim woman from Surabaya named Vilda Rosandi, but commonly known as Zavilda. Zavilda's youtube has 211 thousand subscribers with a total of 179 contents that have been uploaded since April 2021. The content produced by Zavilda is social experiment content related to hijab. Researchers used primary data in the form of three videos on Zavilda TV's youtube channel. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with Roland Barthes semiotic analysis to reveal meanings (denotative, connotative, myth). The three women in the social experiment show on the Zavilda TV Youtube channel are the targets and objects of social experiments who experience acts of discrimination both directly and digitally by Zavilda, because these women receive psychological intimidation, digital objectification, and coercion / pressure to agree to wear the hijab. The targeted women are also not treated as humans who are in full control of their autonomy, as they are used as Zavilda TV's main commodity solely for profit. This can be seen from the selection of titles, thumbnails, and video content that focuses on women's bodies and uses sensual words. This is an act of discrimination against women because it violates their right to freedom of expression and religion and violates their right to privacy and autonomy. Therefore, the researcher has concluded that discrimination of women in new media is still a problem because it is not only done by the opposite sex, but discrimination can also be obtained from fellow women.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the marketing communication of purun mats in the sub-district of Pedamaran. The theory used is Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC). The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach, then the object of research was in the sub-district of Pendamaran while the research subjects were village heads, community leaders, purun mat craftsmen and the community. The result of this study is that marketing that is still traditional relying on middlemen (people to people) cannot be known directly by many people and is an obstacle to the progress of mat weaving marketing and through existing networks, for example, brought to collectors to be taken out of town and only use Facebook social media in marketing. Abstract

This study aims to determine the public relations strategy in building brand image through Instagram social media at Afsha Official. This research uses a qualitative approach with a constructivism paradigm. Using the Case Study method, and data collection techniques by means of interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of this study, it discusses the public relations strategy in building brand image through Instagram social media at Afsha Official which is carried out by the marketing and business development division. The strategy that is carried out refers to the theory of public relations mix from Thomas L. Harris, namely publication, events, community involvement, information or image, lobbying and negotiation, and social responsibility. Research Contribution, namely the discussion in this journal focuses on the Public Relations Mix strategy at the religious equipment company, namely Afsha Official, so that the problems at that location are different from other locations that have been studied. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pubic relations dalam membangun brand image melalui media sosial instagram pada Afsha Official. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme. Menggunakan metode studi kasus, dan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini membahas strategi public relations dalam membangun brand image melalui media sosial Instagram pada Afsha Official yang dilakukan oleh Divisi Marketing dan Business Development. Strategi yang dijalankan mengacu pada teori Bauran Public Relations dari Thomas L. Harris yaitu publikasi, program acara, membuat berita, hubungan dengan komunitas, menginformasikan atau memberitahukan citra, lobi dan negosiasi, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Kontribusi Penelitian yaitu pembahasan pada jurnal ini berfokus pada strategi Bauran Public Relations di Perusahaan alat ibadah yaitu Afsha Official sehingga permasalahan di lokasi tersebut berbeda dengan lokasi lain yang sudah pernah diteliti.

Abstract

Lansia Lan Sopo' is a film that addresses the theme of anti-corruption with the issue of political money in the implementation of village head elections. 'Lansia Lan Sopo' is directed by Alfian Alfarisi and has a duration of 15 minutes and 09 seconds. This research aims to understand how the representation of political money in the film 'Lansia Lan Sopo' is depicted in the context of two rival campaign teams during the village head election. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach and employs John Fiske's semiotic analysis method to dissect the codes and deeper meanings in the film. The results of the research reveal various depictions of political money in the film 'Lansia Lan Sopo.' Additionally, there is also a depiction of how political money is a product of capitalist ideology. This is demonstrated through John Fiske's semiotics with three levels: the level of reality depicting the actions of political money, the level of representation showing supporting elements in each scene, and the level of ideology to understand the concepts and meanings in the film 'Lansia Lan Sopo.' Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of Dai communication in building religious awareness in Muslim communities in Terang Bulan Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. The Role of Dai Communication in Building Religious Awareness of Muslim Communities in Terang Bulan Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. This research will be carried out from June 2023 to July 2023 in Terang Bulan Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. It consists of 4 informants selected according to predetermined criteria. The data sources used use primary and secondary data sources. Data collection was carried out by direct observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis consists of four processes, namely data reduction, data display, data conclusion/verification. Then check the validation of the data in the research carried out. Triangulation in credibility testing is defined as checking data from various sources in various ways, and at various times. The results of the research are that the communication role of preachers in the village of Terang Bulan, Aek Natas sub-district, North Labuhanbatu district makes a lot of contributions to the community in terms of worship, religious harmony because every problem or thing that triggers heterogeneous religious awareness in Bright Bulan is immediately suppressed and discussed by the preachers. , a policy and decision is taken based on the common good and benefit to continue to live side by side well. The preachers in the light of the moon in Labuhanbatu are still role models for the Muslim community there. Every time there is a problem, they still ask questions and listen to what the preachers have to say. The technique used by the preacher is to provide understanding through policy actions in each problem and complete studies to continue to convey the truth of Islamic teachings as a medieval community and learn religious knowledge and then practice its teachings. Abstract

This research is entitled "Virtual Ethnographic Study of Social Criticism in the Content of the Tekotok Youtube Channel Regarding the Rise in Indonesian Fuel Prices", which was conducted using qualitative research methods, and the data collected is primary data. The research method used is the virtual ethnographic method used to explore and analyze the virtual culture of social media users with a critical perspective. The results of the study found that the delivery of social criticism through YouTube animated content about rising fuel prices was carried out by using animation as a character that tells the criticism of the video maker, then the storyline is easily understood by the audience, the video content is made in a comedic or joking manner, and the language used can be understood by the audience.

Abstract

The presence of modern markets has had an impact on decreasing the turnover of traditional market traders in Karawang Regency. The government responded to this problem by creating a program called Pasar Tertib Ukur to improve the image of traditional markets and increase public visits to shop at traditional markets. One of the implementations of this program occurred at the Johar Karawang Market in 2017.This research aims to find out how communication occurs in the Pasar Tertib Ukur Program at Johar Karawang Market. Then, this research also finds out what changes occurred after the implementation of the Orderly Market Program in that market. Qualitative methods using data collection techniques with interviews, observation and documentation have been carried out in this research. Researchers linked the findings using the Diffusion and Innovation theory and the economic growth development model theory. The research results show that the development communication that occurs lies in the content of the program. The program focuses on guaranteeing measuring and weighing equipment at the Johar Karawang Market and consumer protection. The change that occurred after the program was implemented was an increase in the number of buyers at Johar Karawang Market. The conclusion of this research shows that the Orderly Measurement Market Program has succeeded in bringing about a change in the Johar Karawang Market and increasing its existence so that it is no less competitive with modern markets.

Abstract

PF Entertainment is a community of lovers of Korean-style modern dance or Korean Dance Cover which uses the mass media Instagram as an information medium for the public to introduce their existence and activities. However, as time goes by, this media competes with other media such as TikTok, which is currently very popular. The aim of this research is to utilize knowledge of Instagram media in introducing the existence and activities of PF Entertainment. This study uses a qualitative method. The theory used is Effective Communication Techniques. The result of this research is that by using Instagram, of course the admin always updates the activities carried out with 2 to 7 pieces of information in one month so that followers can follow and find out about developments in the PF Entertainment community.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know determine the user's convenience in using Bisa Design services and to determine the level of user comfort in Redesigning the Bisa Design website. This method in this research uses design thinking, which includes: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test, by collecting data by questionnaire questions given to Bisa Design users, the data is analyzed for obtained the level of the effectiveness and efficiency. The results of this research is different of user’s comfort to uses website Bisa Design. The fact is by evaluation data or user tests, there is a tendency to apply positively for the types of questionnaire questions given.
