FOCUS AND SCOPE Enggang adalah jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Enggang dipilih sebagai nama jurnal ini karena kehidupan masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah tidak jauh dari alam, termasuk kedekatannya pada burung yang bernama enggang. Burung enggang merupakan simbol kebesaran dan kemuliaan suku Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. Burung enggang juga melambangkan perdamaian dan persatuan, sayapnya yang tebal melambangkan pemimpin yang selalu melindungi rakyatnya. Ekor panjangnya dianggap sebagai tanda kemakmuran rakyat suku Dayak. Kaitannya dengan jurnal ini, tidak lain adalah mengambil makna filosofis kebesaran burung enggang agar jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya ini, nantinya menjadi besar yang akan dikenal secara lokal, nasional, dan internasional. Jurnal Enggang sebagai jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya merupakan salah satu wadah untuk mengumpulkan dan melestarikan kekayaan kita yang tidak ternilai harganya. Tentunya kekayaan yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Jurnal ini hadir untuk siapa saja yang mencintai dan ingin berkarya di bidang pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Selain itu, kami sebagai pengurus jurnal ini bersedia memberikan bimbingan dan pelatihan untuk siapa saja yang ingin maju dan berkompeten dalam hal menulis karya fiksi maupun nonfiksi. Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of class III students at SD Negeri 173292 Butar T.A 2022/2023. This study aims to determine the effect of student learning outcomes with the use of learning media Tree Charts and Smart Boards on Theme 5 Sub-theme 2 Weather Changes. Class III SD Negeri 1733292 Butar Academic Year 2022/2023. Location The research was conducted at SD Negeri 1733292 Butar. The sample of this study were all students of class III SD Negeri 1733292 Butar, which consisted of 2 classes, namely: Class IIIA (Experimental Class 1) and Class IIIB (Experimental Class 2). Class III A with a total of 20 students and class IIIB with a total of 20 students. The sample collection technique with Total Sampling is the selection of a sample where the entire population is selected as a sample. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with Non Equivalent Multiple Group Design and quantitative data. The data collection tool used to determine student learning outcomes is an objective test with a total of 25 questions that have been tested for validation and reliability. From the data analysis with a sample of 20 students in experimental class 1 and 20 students in experimental class 2, it was obtained that the average of experimental class 1 was at Pre-Test 41 and Post-Test 82 while in experimental class 2 at Pre-Test 41.4 and Post- Tests 78.4. At a significant level ꭤ=0.05. Both classes are normally distributed because Lo<Lt is 0.116<0.190 (experimental class 1) and 0.176 (experimental class 2). Homogeneity test in the Post-Test experimental class 1 and experimental class 2 with Fcount<Ftable, namely 1.68<2.17. The t-test was carried out at the significant level ꭤ=0.05 that tcount>ttable is 1.874>1.685. The writer concludes that there is a significant effect of Tree Chart and Smartboard learning media on Theme 5 Sub-theme 2 Weather Change. Class III SD Negeri 1733292 Butar Academic Year 2022/2023

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the problems experienced in the learning process, namely conventional learning methods and rarely using learning media which causes students to feel bored and less interested in following the learning process without using learning media in the learning process in class. Students are more interested in learning media that displays moving images and sound (audiovisual/video). The purpose of this study was to: (1) to see the validity level of Stop Motion Animation Video Learning Media on Theme 6 Sub-theme 2 "Heat Transfer Around Us" Grade V Students at SDN 173468 Pulogodang T.A 2022/2013. (2) to see the practicality of Stop Motion Video Learning Media in Theme 6 Sub-theme 2 "Heat Transfer Around Us" Class V Students of SDN 173468 Pulogodang T.A 2022/2023, (3) to determine the level of effectiveness of learning from the results of the Development of Stop Motion Video Learning Media on Theme 6 Sub-theme 2 "Heat Transfer Around Us" Class V Students of SDN 173468 Pulogodang T.A 2022/2023. The research location for SDN 173468 Pulogodang Class V, Pakkat District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, consisted of 17 students. .This research is a type of R&D (Research and Development) research with the ADDIE development model which has 5 stages including: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. When the research was carried out from May to July 2023. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, validation sheet questionnaires and tests. Data analysis techniques were performed using quantitative descriptive analysis.The results of the study show that this stop motion animation video-based learning media is "Very Feasible". This can be obtained from the score given by media experts with an average breakdown of 4.68 in the "Very Good" category with a percentage of 93.6% in the "Very Decent" category. The results of the material expert validation show an average of 4.8 in the "Very Good" category with a percentage of 96% including the "Very Eligible" category. The validation results by education practitioners with a percentage of 89.2% are included in the "Very Eligible" category. Student learning outcomes showed an increase of 40.59. Where the average value before using learning media based on stop motion animation video was 47.35 and after using learning media based on stop motion animation video was 87.94. From the results of the research that has been described, it can be concluded that learning media based on stop motion animation video in learning Thematic Theme 6 Sub-theme 2 "Heat Transfer Around Us" is feasible and effective to use.

Abstract

In. This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the use of video dubbing techniques in teaching students speaking skills in English by. This research was conducted to prove that using the video dubbing technique can improve the speaking ability of class X students from a private high school in Surabaya. The research method used qualitative case study. The participants of this study were students of class X at a private high school in Surabaya.Consisted of 5 students who had the most relevant answers. Data collection was carried out by means of structured interviews in witch questions were asked in the order that had been prepared.The results of this study indicated that students' perceptions of using video dubbing media were generally positive. Students agree that learning to speak using Video Dubbing could help them improve their speaking skills. Apart from that, learning through Dubbing videos has also fun and interesting.

Abstract

The Dayak Maanyan Fable is an important part of their oral literature, different from the fables in other regions in Indonesia. This fable story has unique characteristics because it involves local animals. This study aims to interpret character values ​​in five Dayak Maanyan Fable stories using descriptive qualitative methods and gadamer hermeneutics approaches. The stages involve interpretation, interpretive text, historical text, prejudice, data analysis, and prejudice. Through the Gadamer hermeneutics approach, Dayak Maanyan Fables from East Barito Regency revealed a number of significant character values. In the "Nalau Baya Wurung Sariak Fable," we see the clarity of moral and ethical values. This includes the desire to steal or cheat, honesty, self -control, forgiveness, mistakes, loyalty, acceptance, and power of music and singing as a means of transformation. In "Madituen, Rare'eh Baya Parang," we find lessons about greed, impatience, cooperation, fear, and responsibility for our actions. The "Indre Baya Wurung Angkaraei" fable discusses the values ​​of honesty, arrogance, consequences of actions, forgiveness, and curses as natural punishment. "Manu Jumpun Baya Wu'ah" teaches about mutual respect, respecting the diversity of life, and the importance of friendship. Finally, in "Weruk Baya Warik," the value of cooperation, repentance, justice, quality friendship, and appreciation for the environment is highly emphasized. These fables reveal the depth of the Dayak Maanyan culture and philosophy and provide valuable moral lessons.

Abstract

This writing discusses the concept of Mengalah among the Dayak of Central Kalimantan in its relation with conflict. Mengalah is not coward, but the Dayak’s glorious nature to avoid any conflicts. Mengalah is the form and expressions of cultural values inherited from their ancestors. The concept of belief system of the Dayak contains two principles: belief in the One God and ancestor’s spirit that has directed them to keep the harmony of Cosmos in order that the Dayak’s live is prosperous and peaceful. In regarding with this belief system, the essential meaning of live of the Dayak lies on the harmony of Cosmos, it does not lie on prosperity and reality or objectivity understood by modern or scientific ideas. Maintaining the harmony of Cosmos, human being according to the Dayak, have to adhere to customs that has directed human being to keep harmony relation with the One God, with ancestor spirits, with other human beings and with the surrounding nature.

Abstract

This study aims to determine student responses to the E-Learning method in terms of the effectiveness of the learning method. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with survey research. The data collection technique was carried out by giving a questionnaire in the form of a Google form where the results will be presented in tabular form. Respondents were taken from 60 samples representing students of the 2021 Elementary School Teacher Education study program from Muria Kudus University who used E-Learning in the world of lectures. The stages of data processing are carried out by presenting data and analyzing data in a descriptive form to be able to draw conclusions. The research results were obtained by using several indicators and the highest scores were: (1) students' breadth in using E-Learning 63.9%; (2) student acceptance of E-Learning facilities 55%; (3) effectiveness of using E-Learning 55.6%.

Abstract

Ring Algebraic Structure is one of the subjects in the Mathematics Education Study Program. This ring algebra course generally has a goal in terms of building students' algebraic thinking and reasoning abilities, but when viewed from the point of view of the learning process students often experience difficulties. The purpose of the research conducted by these researchers was to describe and identify students' difficulties in facing and solving problems regarding ring algebraic structures, especially in field material. Researchers used sixth semester students of the PMM Study Program at UINSU as the subjects of this study. Researchers used descriptive research with a qualitative approach that used data collection techniques in the form of; tests, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis was used descriptively by comparing tests on field material with interview data. The results obtained from data analysis are the difficulties faced by students when solving field material questions on Ring Algebra, namely difficulties in determining the reversal of each existing element and confusion when determining the initial steps in working on the tests that have been given.

Abstract

Racism took a different turn in the 16th century, impacting this generation's society. Through racist beliefs and thoughts, people divided society into divisions. This study was based on racism and white people's historical oppression of black people. In this study, we examined two novels that help to analyze racism in society, and the impact of these novels on culture was also addressed. The study described slavery in the 19th century and the colonial times of Nigerian tribes. Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn offered an American perspective on racism vs. the African setting of Things Fall Apart. During the 19th century, Nigerian people faced colonisation that impacted the culture and behaviour of indigenous people. In this study, different aspects of racism and the effects of racism on black people were examined. This study also showed that the British invasion forced marginalisation in every element of Igbo society, ranging from traditional values to religious and gender roles; this study aims to discuss the differences in the perspective of racism by analyzing Things Fall Apart and The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn. These two pieces of literature helped to develop better concepts and aspects of racism in the social setting and highlighted the racism between white and black people.

Abstract

The actor's performance in his live presence on the stage has occupied all those working in it, in addition to many academic and critical studies, and it is still the first and last element/axis in supporting the stage, with the pulse of life and the launch of sound and movement in every place and corner in it; and in order for this life to continue in its continuity, it has undergone a lot of deletion, addition, change and reduction as well, to appear with a complete appearance of elegance and beauty, towards an audience that seeks that, so the kinetic and gestural condensation formed an aspect of that beauty, by removing everything that is superfluous and unnecessary in order to create a clear and simple change, far from complexity and ambiguity, so that the theatrical image formed on the stage is extremely beautiful and clear to the recipient.

Abstract

The research entitled "Increasing Students' Civic Learning Activeness Through the TGT Type Cooperative Learning Model (Team Games Tournament) in Class VII.1 SMP Negeri 10 Palembang" aims to determine the increase in student learning activeness in class VII.1 SMP Negeri 10 Palembang on PPKn subjects the subject of Working Together and Working Together The subjects of this study were students of class VII.1 Palembang State Middle School for the academic year 2022/2023, a total of 38 people. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research, carried out in 3 cycles consisting of 6 meetings. Based on the results of the study, it was found that student activity in cycle I was 43.61% (19 people), cycle II student activity was 59.72% (26 people), and cycle III student activity was 69.86% (35 people).
