FOCUS AND SCOPE Enggang adalah jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Enggang dipilih sebagai nama jurnal ini karena kehidupan masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah tidak jauh dari alam, termasuk kedekatannya pada burung yang bernama enggang. Burung enggang merupakan simbol kebesaran dan kemuliaan suku Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. Burung enggang juga melambangkan perdamaian dan persatuan, sayapnya yang tebal melambangkan pemimpin yang selalu melindungi rakyatnya. Ekor panjangnya dianggap sebagai tanda kemakmuran rakyat suku Dayak. Kaitannya dengan jurnal ini, tidak lain adalah mengambil makna filosofis kebesaran burung enggang agar jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya ini, nantinya menjadi besar yang akan dikenal secara lokal, nasional, dan internasional. Jurnal Enggang sebagai jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya merupakan salah satu wadah untuk mengumpulkan dan melestarikan kekayaan kita yang tidak ternilai harganya. Tentunya kekayaan yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Jurnal ini hadir untuk siapa saja yang mencintai dan ingin berkarya di bidang pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Abstract

The research was conducted using collaborative classroom action research methods whose aim was to improve student learning outcomes in Civics subjects. This research was conducted by meeting the needs of students for learning styles, namely visual and auditory. This research was conducted in 2 research cycles consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The research was conducted on class X.3 students of SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. With the results of the study showing that in the pre-cycle only 8 (27.58%) students achieved a completeness score, while 29 students (72.42%) had not completed, with an average score of 55.17. In cycle I, students experienced an increase in the number of students who completed 19 students (49.28%) while students who had not completed totaled 18 students (50.72%) with an average value of 66.55. Then in cycle II there was a very high increase compared to the previous cycle, namely students who had reached the KKM totaled 36 students (96.55%), while students who had not yet completed numbered 1 student (3.45%) with an average value of 80 This research shows that the application of differentiated learning can improve the learning outcomes of students in class X.3 SMA Negeri 6 Palembang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students in writing, especially writing explanatory texts. This is caused by students who feel they have no talent and are unable to express their creativity in writing, as well as the lack of effectiveness of the learning model used by educators. One learning model that can foster student creativity is the problem-based learning model. The purpose of this study was to find out: the ability of the writer to implement the Pancasila Student Profile in the module in the implementation and assessment of learning to construct explanatory text using the problem based learning model of students in class XI SMAN 1 Parongpong, to describe the ability of students to implement Pancasila Student Profiles in constructing explanatory texts based on the type and elements of making explanatory text; and describe the ability of students to implement explanatory texts on Pancasila Student Profiles in the arrangement of explanatory texts using the problem based learning model. This research uses quantitative methods. This study presents the learning outcomes of writing explanatory texts on students' critical reasoning abilities based on the types and elements of making explanatory texts using the problem based learning model. It is evident from the results of the average pretest of experimental class students getting 53.30 while the acquisition of an average post-test score of 93,75indicates an increase in grades.

Abstract

Improving Motivation To Learn Civics Through The Use Of Learning Media Maze Boards In Junior High School Students. Teachers in general still choose conventional learning and still think that innovative learning takes up a lot of time in implementing it in class. The aim of the research was to increase the motivation to learn Civics in class VII.8 of SMP Negeri 10 Palembang through the application of the labyrinth board media. This form of research uses a class of action research known as which consists of several cycles. As the subject was class VII.8 students of SMP Negeri 10 Palembang, totaling 36 students. Based on the findings of research results regarding Increasing Student Learning Motivation Through Maze Board Media in Class VII.8 SMP Negeri 10 Palembang Application of Maze Board Learning Media on Cooperation and Mutual Cooperation Materials. This can be seen from the increase in the proportion of students' learning motivation. In the initial action, the proportion of 70% was classified as lacking, in the action cycle I, the proportion of 75% was classified as sufficient, in the action cycle II, the proportion of 88% was classified as good.

Abstract

Increasing educational qualifications is necessary for good knowledge, being able to convey and having an attitude of exemplary students, students of skills acquired holistically can be useful in the world of education. The role of the teacher is to make the most of learning materials and media. Learning media is used to make students interested in participating in learning and it is hoped that learning can be carried out effectively. The research aims to find out how effective cartoon media is on student learning outcomes in class II thematic learning at SD Mabadiul Ulum Surabaya using the One Group Pretset- Posttest method. In this study the aim was to find out student learning outcomes after applying cartoon media. This research was carried out on May 15, 2023. Data collection techniques used tests in the form of pretest and posttest. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in student learning outcomes before and after the application of cartoon media with an average increase of 78,667 which can be said that cartoon media is effective for use in class II thematic learning at SD Mabadiul Ulum Surabaya. Because the value is more than 0.76%.

Abstract

Muslim thinkers often express the latest scientific ideas. All in all, it is done amidst a fast-paced and technologically advanced environment. The problem faced is the assumption that if Muslims can really adapt and absorb knowledge, they will advance, be able to catch up with, and match Westerners. In addition, there is an assumption that because knowledge that comes from Western nations is seen as a discussion table that divides general knowledge (Western) and religion (Eastern) it is a global challenge to science from the perspective of the philosophy of Islamic education. The purpose of this study was to find out how the nature of knowledge in the perspective of Islamic education philosophy is able to solve the problems of Islamic education so that it is able to provide clear direction and goals for implementing Islamic education using the library method. The results of the research are several sources obtained from science, namely empirical, rationalism (reason), intuitionism (intuition) and revelation. The instruments of knowledge used to gain knowledge are the senses and ratios. Then the nature of science in the perspective of the philosophy of Islamic education must be able to solve the problems of Islamic education so that it is then able to provide clear directions and goals for implementing Islamic education by implementing several aspects, namely institutional aspects, curriculum aspects, and educational aspects.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that the learning carried out in grade V SD Negeri 104203 Bandar Khalipah has not fully provided opportunities for students to construct and communicate their ideas, ideas, or opinions orally and in writing, in the social studies content of the material "The Process of the Arrival of Europeans to Indonesia" T.A. 2022/2023. This study aims to determine the effect of the think talk write type cooperative learning model on the communication skills of grade V students of SD Negeri 104203 Bandar Khalipah. This type of research is Quasi Experimental Design using Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The subjects in this study were teachers and students. The population in this study was all grade V students of SD Negeri 104203 Bandar Khalipah consisting of class VA 34 students, VB 32 students, and VC 32 students. The sample in this study was the entire VA class as an experimental class of 34 students and the VC class as a control class of 32 students. The data collection instruments used in this study were test and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets, interview guidelines, and tests. The data analysis technique used in this study is quantitative analysis. The results showed the average score of students' communication skills tests with the think talk write type cooperative model was 17.47 while learning with conventional methods was 9.44. In addition, the results of the calculation of the hypothesis using the t test, obtained tcalculate results = 4.86 > ttable = 1.67, so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. That is, there is a significant positive influence between the use of the think talk write type cooperative model on the communication skills of grade V students of SD Negeri 104203 Bandar Khalipah.

Abstract

The background in this study is the low learning independence of grade 3 students at SDN Margorejo Surabaya. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between learning independence and learning achievement in students at SDN Margorejo III Surabaya. This research method uses a quantitative approach using descriptive and correlation methods. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study indicate that learning independence is in the medium category by obtaining a score of 59.37. Student achievement is in the medium category with a value of 44.11. The general conclusion of this research shows that learning independence is in the medium category by obtaining a score of 59.37. Student achievement is in the moderate category with a value of 44.11. The results of data processing from the relationship between learning independence and learning achievement with a value of 0.448678 is greater than the rtable product moment value of 0.320.

Abstract

Increasing modern knowledge, technology and information presents a number of challenges for Indonesia. The character of the nation's children will deteriorate if it is not balanced with a solid foundation in moral principles and standards. The implementation of religious-based character education through habituation is very important to develop in order to form a personality that has good morals. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation and supporting factors as well as inhibiting factors of religious-based character education through habituation at SD YIMI Full Day School Gresik. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with principals, teachers and students as research subjects. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that religious-based character education through habituation at SD YIMI Full Day School Gresik is carried out through routine habituation activities, spontaneous habituation, exemplary habituation and fostering attitudes and activities according to religious indicators and evaluation. In addition, there are also supporting factors in its implementation such as teacher support, parental cooperation, school facilities. As for the inhibiting factors such as the child's own will, lack of support and awareness of parents, teacher factors, and colleagues.

Abstract

The research objective was to find out whether there was a positive influence from the Talking Stick learning model on student learning outcomes in theme 8 sub-theme 2 in class V SD Negeri 101776 Sampali. This research is a quantitative research, with the type of quasi-experimental research. The research sample was VA class as the experimental class and VB class as the control class, which consisted of 74 students. The research data collection instrument or technique, namely the learning outcomes test, has 20 valid questions and 10 invalid questions. Reliability of 0.88 is declared reliable with very high reliability category. The data analysis technique used is the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the t-test formula. The results showed that student learning outcomes increased with the Talking Stick learning model, namely the pretest of 53.94 and the posttest of 81.97. Based on the prerequisites that were tested first, namely normal and homogeneous data. From the normality test results obtained Ltable>Lcount, namely 0.144>0.142 in the experimental class, and the control class results Ltable>Lcount, namely 0.148>0.136. So it can be concluded that the data is normally distributed. From the homogeneity test data, all data has homogeneous data according to the calculations that have been done, Ftable> Fcount, namely 1.739> 1.036 in the pretest in the experimental class and control class. In the posttest experimental class and control class Ftable> Fcount, namely 1.747> 1.070. The results of testing the hypothesis at the real level α = 0.05 obtained that tcount>ttable, namely 1.706 > 1.666. There is a positive and significant influence from the use of the talking stick learning model on student learning outcomes in theme 8 sub-theme 2 in class V SD Negeri 101776 Sampali.

Abstract

This paper comes from the assumption that writing skill is a difficult skill to acquire. This is because there is a limited variety of media used by teachers, which makes it difficult for students to express their ideas. One of the media that is considered appropriate that can improve students' enthusiasm in the process of learning to present data information in an explanation text is filmstrip media. The goal of this paper is to analyze students' skills in presenting data information in an explanation text by using filmstrip media and the effectiveness of filmstrip media in learning to present data information in an explanation text. This research was conducted using a pseudo-experimental method and Nonequivalent Control Group Design as the research design. The results of the research are: (1) students are able to present data information in an explanation text using filmstrip media, as evidenced by the mean value of the pretest score is 52.77 which has increased with a mean value of posttest score that is 92.59; (2) filmstrip media is effectively used to facilitate students in conveying ideas in learning to present data information in an explanation text with an Asymp.sig. (2-tailed) of 0.006 in the Mann Whitney test; and (3) there was a differences in students' skills in the experiment class and control class as evidenced by the Wilcoxon test results which showed the Asymp.sig. (2-tailed) in both classes is 0.000.
