Abstract

In Islamic teachings, leadership is a sacred mandate from Allah that demands sincerity, honesty, justice, open-mindedness, and wisdom, with every leader ultimately accountable before Him. Leadership must begin with right intentions, seeking only Allah’s pleasure and viewing the role as a responsibility, not a privilege. The Prophet Muhammad taught that women should not hold the reins of leadership in certain contexts and warned against seeking positions for personal ambition, as leadership given upon request leaves one to bear the burden alone, whereas if bestowed without asking, Allah grants assistance. A leader must adhere strictly to Allah’s laws, judge fairly, and maintain justice, for injustice leads to ruin in the Hereafter. They should remain accessible to the people, keeping their doors open to needs and complaints, sincerely advising the community, and refusing gifts to avoid corruption. Surrounding oneself with righteous advisors is essential to promote good and prevent wrongdoing. Gentleness is highly valued in leadership, as the Prophet prayed for ease upon those who are kind to their people and hardship for those who are harsh. Leaders must not create suspicion or spy on the people, as this erodes trust and destroys society. The Prophet emphasized that every individual is a leader within their domain—a ruler over their people, a wife over her household, and a servant over their master’s trust—and each will be held responsible for those under their care. Thus, leadership in Islam is both an honor and a heavy trust that must be carried with integrity and fear of Allah.

Abstract

This classroom action research (CAR) aims to improve children's creativity through sand painting activities. The background of this study is the low level of creativity observed among children in group B3 at Az-Zahrah Islamic Kindergarten, Palembang. Many children still face difficulties in developing ideas, imagination, and creativity. They tend to imitate given examples, showing limited flexibility, originality, and innovation, and often appear hesitant to try new approaches. Furthermore, some children lack interest in coloring activities. Based on pre-cycle observations, out of 15 children, 13 (87%) were categorized as “Starting to Develop” (MB), while only 2 children (13%) reached the “Developing as Expected” (BSH) category. The research was conducted over two cycles, with each cycle consisting of six meetings. The participants were selected using purposive sampling, focusing on group B3 students. Data were collected through observations, checklists, and field notes. The results of the study show that in Cycle I, 11 children (73%) achieved the BSH category. In Cycle II, the number increased to 12 children (80%) in the BSH category, and 4 children (20%) reached the “Very Well Developed” (BSB) category. These findings indicate that sand painting activities are effective in enhancing children's creativity. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers incorporate sand painting into their learning activities to foster creativity among young learners.

Abstract

This socialization of emotional literacy and crime prevention in adolescents was carried out at Cahaya Bangsa Christian Junior High School, Tuapeijat Village, Mentawai Islands Regency, by students of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) of Padang State University in 2025. The purpose of this activity is to increase adolescents' awareness and ability to recognize, understand, and manage emotions, as well as prevent their involvement in acts of violence or deviant behavior. The activity was attended by 60 students of grades VII and VIII with a duration of one full day. The method of the activity includes the delivery of interactive materials, group discussions, and emotional control simulations. The results of the activity showed that most students were not able to control their emotions well, especially when facing social pressure and conflicts between friends. After socialization, students show increased understanding of how to manage emotions and realize the importance of positive communication to prevent negative actions. Thus, this activity is effective in increasing emotional literacy and legal awareness in adolescents in the school environment.

Abstract

In its development, social media now plays an important role in supporting the dissemination of educational content, especially in the realm of non-formal learning that is easily accessible with the lifestyle of people in today's modern era. Various social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube have evolved from what were initially just places to share entertainment content to means of disseminating educational information. This study aims to develop educational tutorial videos on double cleansing facial care through the TikTok platform, which can be used as an additional learning resource for social media users based on evaluations by subject matter experts and media experts. This study employs the Research Development (RD) method using the ADDIE development model, which includes five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The measurement tools used in this study include validation tools by media experts and users, as well as practical feasibility testing tools by media experts. The results of the study show that the educational videos produced received very high validation in terms of both content and media. The performance of the videos on the TikTok platform also supports the effectiveness of this media in reaching digital audiences. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between monetary and macroeconomic variables affecting inflation and the money supply in Indonesia from 1993 to 2024. Specifically, it examines the effects of the amount of money in circulation, interest rates, fuel prices, and government spending on inflation, as well as the effects of inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, and household consumption on the money supply. The research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data and applies a two-stage least squares (2SLS) simultaneous equation model with analysis conducted through the EViews program. The results indicate that the amount of money in circulation has a significant positive effect on inflation, while interest rates, fuel prices, and government spending show positive but insignificant effects. Conversely, inflation significantly influences the amount of money in circulation, while interest rates, the exchange rate, and household consumption have no significant effect. Simultaneously, both model equations demonstrate that the tested variables jointly have a significant impact on inflation and the money supply in Indonesia. These findings suggest that monetary expansion remains a key determinant of inflation dynamics in Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of prudent monetary policy and coordinated fiscal management.

Abstract

Writing is a key component of English language learning. This study aimed to explore the difficulties faced by junior high school students in writing descriptive texts in English and to identify the linguistic aspects that hinder their performance. In this study, the researchers used a qualitative case study design which involved 36 seventh-grade students from SMPN 8 Cimahi as the research subjects. The findings revealed that students performed best in content (26.89%), indicating that they were able to stay on topic and generate relevant ideas. In contrast, the lowest scores were found in grammar (16.61%) and mechanics (17.99%), reflecting frequent errors in tense use, subject–verb agreement, punctuation, and capitalization. Interviews further found that limited vocabulary, low writing confidence, and difficulty in idea organization were major obstacles. Despite these challenges, students showed positive attitudes toward learning English and were more motivated when engaging in fun and interactive learning activities, such as games and outdoor tasks. These findings suggest that integrating vocabulary-building activities and communicative grammar practice into writing instruction can help students enhance their descriptive writing skills.
