Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of strategic collaboration in improving supplier performance in DKI Jakarta Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) from a buyer-supplier perspective. Strategic collaboration is considered the key to success in supply chain management, especially in the context of business relationships between buyers and suppliers. Qualitative research methods were used with data collection through in-depth interviews with procurement managers and key suppliers in several BUMDs in DKI Jakarta in the period November 2024 to January 2025. The results of the study indicate that the three main dimensions of collaboration, communication, trust, and technology, play an important role in improving supplier performance. Transparent and intensive communication helps synchronize operations, trust strengthens supplier loyalty and commitment, while technology supports the efficiency of procurement and monitoring processes. This study confirms that strengthening strategic collaboration is an effective strategy to improve sustainable supplier performance in the BUMD environment. Practical implications of this study include the need to improve communication, build a culture of mutual trust, and utilize technology in supply chain management.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of customer service in enhancing customer value and fostering customer trust in the modern market environment of Bogor City. In an era of increasingly intense retail competition, customer service is a crucial factor in creating added value for customers and fostering sustainable trust. This study employs a qualitative approach, incorporating in-depth interviews and observations of consumers and modern market managers in Bogor City from October to December 2024. The study's findings indicate that the perception of customer value is significantly influenced by the quality of services, which is characterised as friendly, responsive, and instructive. High customer value then becomes a crucial foundation for growing customer trust, which in turn fosters customer loyalty and the sustainability of modern markets. However, there are challenges in the form of inconsistencies in service and limited human resources and market facilities that still require improvement. These findings emphasise the importance of standardised service management and staff training as primary strategies for enhancing service quality. The practical implications of this study are the need for continuous investment in training and facility development to strengthen the position of modern markets in Bogor City amidst retail market competition. This research is a significant contribution to the field of contemporary market management, as it aids in the development of effective service strategies that enhance customer value and establish long-term trust.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of financial management in increasing the profitability of micro-enterprises in Serang City. The main focus of the study lies in four aspects of financial management, namely financial planning, financial recording, financial control, and financial evaluation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with micro-entrepreneurs in various sectors, as well as direct observation of financial management practices carried out. The results of the study indicate that financial planning has been carried out by most MSMEs, although in a simple form. This provides a positive contribution to cost efficiency and capital management. In terms of financial recording, business actors have started recording daily transactions, but it is still manual and has not been optimally digitized. Meanwhile, financial control is still a major weakness, marked by the mixing of business and personal funds, and the absence of a formal financial control system. Financial evaluation has also not become a routine habit, so business actors have difficulty in measuring the development and performance of their businesses objectively. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of increasing financial literacy and management practices for micro-entrepreneurs. Continuous training and mentoring are needed to strengthen financial functions that can drive increased profitability. This study contributes to the literature on MSME management and can be a reference for local economic empowerment policies in the Serang City area.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of green product quality and green brand image on the green purchase intention of consumers of The Body Shop products in South Tangerang City. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques with The Body Shop customers who are environmentally conscious. The results of the study indicate that positive perceptions of the quality of natural and certified green products and a strong and environmentally responsible brand image contribute significantly to shaping consumers' green purchase intentions. Social and emotional factors also play a major role in supporting green purchasing decisions, where consumers feel that purchasing green products is an expression of self-identity and social responsibility. Although product prices tend to be higher, consumers who are already aware of the value of sustainability are still willing to pay a premium price. This study provides important implications for business actors in developing green marketing strategies with a focus on improving product quality and strengthening green brand images in order to increase the purchase intentions of consumers who are increasingly concerned about the environment.

Abstract

Education is a vital instrument for empowering women, particularly in developing countries like Afghanistan, where social, economic, and cultural barriers often restrict access to quality education. Despite global efforts to enhance gender equality, Afghan women face persistent challenges that hinder their educational advancement. This study aims to explore how access to education influences the social and economic empowerment of Afghan women, identify the primary challenges limiting their educational opportunities, and examine the effectiveness of digital education platforms in expanding access for women in restrictive or remote areas. A quantitative survey was conducted with 120 female participants from diverse academic backgrounds—medical, economics, and computer science faculties in Afghanistan. Participants responded to a series of questions using a 5-point Likert scale, assessing perceptions related to empowerment, barriers, and digital learning. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine prevalent trends and attitudes. Findings indicate that most participants agree that education significantly enhances social and economic empowerment for women. Financial difficulties, poverty, and cultural norms were identified as major barriers to accessing quality education. Additionally, digital education platforms were seen as moderately to highly effective in reaching women in remote or conservative regions, with many participants expressing comfort and willingness to engage with online learning tools. Education remains a critical pathway to women’s empowerment in Afghanistan. Addressing financial and cultural obstacles, alongside expanding digital education initiatives, is essential to promote equitable access and enable Afghan women to overcome traditional barriers. Policymakers should prioritize these areas to facilitate inclusive educational development

Abstract

Female education is a critical factor influencing social and economic development in Afghanistan, yet numerous cultural, economic, and infrastructural barriers continue to limit girls’ access to education. This study explores the impact of female education on community development in Afghanistan, aiming to identify the key benefits, challenges, and effective strategies to enhance educational access for women. The research employed a quantitative methodology, collecting data through structured questionnaires distributed electronically via WhatsApp, email, and Facebook. A total of 110 female students aged 20 to 25 from Vision Higher Education and Research Institute, representing Medical, Computer Science, and Education faculties, participated in the study. The findings indicate that female education significantly contributes to leadership opportunities, poverty reduction, improved health outcomes, and economic growth within Afghan communities. However, cultural norms and traditions remain the most significant barriers, alongside security concerns and economic hardship. Participants identified building more schools, promoting e-learning, and community awareness programs as effective methods to improve female educational access. Additionally, technology plays a multifaceted role in facilitating flexible learning, expanding educational resources, and empowering women through entrepreneurial skill development. In conclusion, the study underscores that female education is a powerful catalyst for community development in Afghanistan but is constrained by complex social and infrastructural challenges. Addressing these obstacles requires comprehensive strategies that combine infrastructure development, technological integration, and socio-cultural engagement. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and stakeholders committed to advancing female education and fostering sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Abstract

Performance of a banking company can be seen from its profitability level. Banking companies strive to maximize profits in carrying out their business activities. The greater the profitability, the greater the profit. Conversely, if profitability is low, the profit will also be low. The goal points referred to as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are indicators of the implementation of sustainable business, one of which is in the economic sector. The implementation and disclosure of green banking practices and the calculation of the BOPO ratio in a company can be considered economically efficient if it can save production costs to achieve maximum profit using the panel data method (Random Effect Model/REM). The results of this study indicate that green banking has a positive and significant negative effect on profitability at banks in Indonesia.
