Abstract

The internship or practical work program is a crucial component in education, aiming to provide students with direct experience before entering the professional world. However, students undertaking these activities frequently encounter risks such as work accidents or health issues that can hinder their learning process. Therefore, protection from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Workers' Social Security Agency) is essential to guarantee their safety and well-being during these activities. Unfortunately, many students still lack a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and registration procedures for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Consequently, this webinar was organized to enhance awareness and provide further understanding of the importance of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan protection for students undergoing internships or practical work. This community service initiative was conducted via an online webinar in the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, specifically in April 2025. The activity, titled "Sosialisasi Pentingnya Perlindungan BPJS Ketenagakerjaan bagi Siswa dan Mahasiswa yang Melaksanakan Magang atau Praktik Kerja" (Socialization on the Importance of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Protection for Students and University Students Undertaking Internships or Practical Work), was held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 14.00 - 16.00 WIB, via Zoom Meet. One hundred and five participants attended, including teachers, lecturers, HRD personnel from companies, university students, and high school students. The results indicate a highly positive response, with active engagement during the Q&A session and many participants, suggesting an increased understanding and awareness of the importance of this social security coverage. The program achieved its objective of raising awareness and comprehension regarding BPJS Ketenagakerjaan for interning students.

Abstract

Many people do not fully understand the types of diseases that BPJS Kesehatan and the benefits of additional health insurance do not cover. Therefore, socialization is needed so people can make the right decisions in their financial and health planning. This Community Service (PkM) was carried out in the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, with its peak activity on June 3, 2025, where STMA Trisakti successfully held a PKM Seminar with the theme "Socialization of Diseases Not Covered by BPJS Kesehatan and the Importance of Using Additional Commercial Insurance" through their YouTube channel. This activity proved very relevant and successful, triggering high enthusiasm from 74 participants. The speakers, Mrs. C. Nike Septivani and Mr. I Made Indra P., conveyed complex material clearly and easily understood, supported by sound technical broadcast quality. Overall, this seminar effectively increased public awareness of the limitations of BPJS Kesehatan and the cruciality of commercial insurance, providing a positive contribution from STMA Trisakti in educating the public about comprehensive health planning.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of impaired growth and development in children under five due to chronic malnutrition, resulting in a child being too short for their age. Nutritional deficiencies begin during pregnancy and in the early postnatal period; however, the signs of stunting typically become apparent after the child reaches two years of age. Stunting has a significant impact on the quality of human resources. In the short term, it affects brain development, intelligence, physical growth, and metabolism. In the long term, it leads to decreased cognitive abilities, weakened immune function, increased risk of metabolic diseases, and learning difficulties. Stunting prevention is currently one of the government's main priorities. In addition to education about stunting, another preventive measure is the optimization of animal protein intake, such as through the consumption of mackerel. Mackerel is a locally available, highly nutritious fish. This community service program aims to raise public awareness about the importance of animal protein consumption in the prevention of stunting. With improved understanding, it is expected that communities will be able to meet daily protein needs, especially for infants and young children. To raise awareness and promote behavioral change in the community, particularly in fostering the habit of consuming animal-based protein as a strategy to prevent stunting. The intervention involved educational sessions about stunting, the introduction of the “Gemakan Kemuning” campaign an initiative promoting mackerel consumption to combat stunting, video demonstrations on mackerel-based food preparation, and the distribution of mackerel-based food products. The activity was conducted on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at community health centre Kemuning 3, Bogor Regency, and was attended by 35 mothers with infants or toddlers. The program encompassed preparation, implementation, and evaluation phases. Educational content included definitions, causes, symptoms, impacts, prevention, and management of stunting. The program was successfully implemented. It is recommended that similar initiatives be continued and expanded by other healthcare professionals so that communities can better understand how to prevent and manage stunting, including by increasing their consumption of animal protein sources such as mackerel.

Abstract

This community service program aims to replicate the mixed cropping system as an innovation in land use development in the urban area of Sidoarjo Regency, East Java. With high pressure on land availability due to urbanization, the productive use of yard land is crucial to support local food security and community well-being. The program was implemented from May to June 2025, involving 10 locations in several sub-districts with various combinations of fast-growing vegetables and horticultural crops. The activity approach included land identification, outreach, technical training, planting implementation, and intensive mentoring. The results showed a significant increase in land productivity and active community participation in intercropping land management. Mixed cropping has proven effective in increasing crop diversification while maintaining micro-ecosystem balance by reducing the use of chemical pesticides. Despite constraints such as limited water supply and maintenance time, efficient irrigation solutions and time management can be an alternative. This model has the potential to be replicated in other urban areas with similar characteristics and can serve as a reference for developing spatial planning policies based on local food security. This activity contributes to community empowerment and sustainable development in urban areas.

Abstract

Digital transformation and the application of appropriate technology are pivotal in supporting women’s economic empowerment, particularly among household-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This community engagement program, conducted by the KKM Group 03 students of Universitas Bina Bangsa (UNIBA) in Dalung Village, Serang City, combined two key initiatives: (1) Socialization of MSME Digitalization for members of the Darussalam Women’s Religious Study Group, and (2) Introduction of Appropriate Technology (AT) for the Red Chili Women Farmer Group (KWT). The program aimed to enhance digital literacy among women entrepreneurs, introduce social media-based marketing strategies, and promote simple innovations such as gravity-fed automatic irrigation tools and eco-enzyme production.
