Abstract

Massage treatment is part of traditional health services which can provide a stimulating and relaxing effect, improve the blood and lymph circulation system and strengthen other body systems, intended to improve health and fitness. Massage treatments generally use massage oil containing essential oils as aromatherapy. The use of essential oils in aromatherapy, especially through massage treatments, must be mixed with carrier oil in the form of vegetable oil such as sunflower seed oil. Pengalangan village is a sunflower agrotourism village with great sunflower potential but the results of sunflower cultivation are still less than optimal and are limited to sunflower seed food. Therefore, the team provides an Eco-preneurship solution with an effort to increase the selling value of the results of processing sunflower seeds in the form of oil to be processed into massage oil. This effort was carried out by providing material using the lecture method and continued with training in making massage oil for PKK cadres and village residents as participants. The end of this activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge by 16.8%, as well as an increase in participants' skills in making massage oil products independently.

Abstract

The cancers that have the highest contribution to Indonesian women are cervical and breast cancer. Cervical cancer is in second place and breast cancer is in third place. It is known that nationally the behavior of women of childbearing age is still low in carrying out VIA and BSE examinations. From the data it was found that only 8.3% of women aged 30-50 years carried out early examinations for cervical cancer using the Acetic Acid Visual Inspection method (IVA test) and breast cancer using Self-Examine Your Breasts (BSE). The aim of this activity is that after providing outreach regarding cervical and breast cancer health education, there will be an increase in knowledge of women of childbearing age and increase awareness of checking and detecting cervical and breast cancer early. The method used is providing health education information with counseling to increase knowledge of women of childbearing age about cervical and breast cancer as well as VIA and BSE examinations through lectures, giving leaflets, discussions and questions and answers then carrying out examination simulations followed by direct examination of women of childbearing age with The hope is that awareness will arise of the importance of early detection in order to increase the recovery rate and higher life expectancy as well as improve the level of health in Indonesia.

Abstract

The era of disruption has significantly influenced adolescent behavior in Indonesia, particularly regarding sexual violence. This issue leads to physical and psychological suffering, including reproductive health disorders, and diminishes the opportunity for safe and optimal education. In 2021, there were 11,952 cases of sexual violence against children, with 7,004 reported. In Southeast Sulawesi, 240 cases were recorded in 2020, with 35 more by May 2022. Southern Konawe district saw 13 cases. Notably, there was no education on sexual violence at SMP Negeri Satap Konawe Selatan, prompting the lecturer team to conduct community service through socialization. This activity at SMP 2 Satap involved 70 students, aiming to increase adolescent knowledge about sexual violence and establish cross-sectoral partnerships in health, supporting the Ministry of Education and Culture's strategy for a healthy and smart generation. The program used lectures, discussions, and evaluations with pre- and post-tests. Results showed an increase in prevention knowledge from 30% to 79% and understanding of case handling from 20% to 75%, alongside positive feedback from the teacher council. Building a healthy and safe school environment fosters student independence, emphasizing the importance of the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS). Religion and family also play crucial roles in securing a bright future for adolescents.

Abstract

Plastic is a polymer compound whose main constituent elements are carbon and hydrogen. Because it is difficult to decompose in nature, plastic is the biggest contributor to waste which causes damage to the natural balance. Based on data from the National Waste Management Information System (2023), Plastic waste is the second most common type of waste after food waste, as many as 41.1%. The solution to banning the use of plastic spoons and straws has been found by creating environmentally friendly spoons and straws that are edible and biodegradable. This biodegradable (Edible Spoon) uses wheat flour as a base so it is safe for consumption. Edible and biodegradable straws (Edible Straw) are also made from natural ingredients, namely cassava flour (mocaf) and cornstarch. The method used to produce Edible Straw is the fruit peel method. The method used to produce Edible Straw is the fruit peel method. This method is used to make Edible Straw dough from a mixture of dough and fruit which is mashed into a thin sheet resembling skin. This community service was carried out by STIKES PEMKBAB Jombang students with the aim of reducing the amount of plastic waste, especially plastic spoon and straw waste in Jombang.
