Abstract

This study aims to describe the competence of teachers in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning activities at SDN Pasir Batang 01 Manonjaya, Tasikmalaya. Along with the development of the times and technological advancements, teachers' ability to integrate ICT into the learning process is an important need to increase the effectiveness and attractiveness of learning, especially in PAI subjects. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that some teachers already have basic competencies in using ICT such as the use of presentation media, learning videos, and other supporting applications. However, the use of ICT is still limited due to infrastructure constraints and lack of continuous training. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve teacher competence through.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model on the formation of religious character and discipline in fifth-grade students at SDN Gunungputri 04. The background of this study stems from the urgency of strengthening students' character, particularly in terms of religiosity and discipline, through learning methods that encourage active student involvement. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects consist of two groups: an experimental class that received the TPS learning model treatment and a control class that followed conventional learning. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets to evaluate students' religious character and discipline. The analysis results showed significant differences between the two groups. Students who learned using the TPS approach demonstrated better improvements in religious character and discipline compared to students in the control group. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Think Pair Share model has a positive impact on the development of students' religious character and discipline. Therefore, this model is recommended as one of the learning approaches worthy of implementation in character education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The parenting pattern in every Islamic boarding school cannot be separated from the presence of a leader of the Islamic boarding school, namely a Kyai. Kyai is someone who has full authority and fully leads the implementation rules in the Islamic boarding school. Kyai is also a very important person in parenting, because in the hands of the Kyai will be determined the parenting pattern and the educational process that is carried out. The purpose of this study is to investigate in depth the relationship between the parenting pattern of Islamic boarding school caregivers and children's social-emotional development. By analyzing the specific facts and factors in parenting patterns that can influence the development of children's social-emotional development, this study aims to make a significant contribution to our understanding of how the family environment plays an important role in forming the basis for children's social-emotional development. Research results 1. The parenting pattern of caregivers is reflected as an authoritative parenting pattern that is contextualized with a religious and institutional approach typical of Islamic boarding schools. This parenting pattern is characterized by a balance between control and emotional closeness. 2. Implications of the parenting pattern of caregivers through a. application of authoritative parenting patterns b. discipline and emotional regulation c. affection and appreciation as the basis for positive emotions d. independence and self-identity e. instilling moral and social values f. emotional involvement of caregivers and responses to children g. evaluation and adaptation of parenting patterns.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh proses dan hasil belajar yang rendah pada pembelajaran matematika di kelas IV SDN 128/II Pasir Putih. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk peningkatan proses dan hasil belajar matematika menggunakan model guided discovery learning di kelas IV SDN 128/II Pasir Putih. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas sebanyak dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dasri dua kali pertemuan. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaanm pelaksanaan pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek dilaksanakan pada semester II tahun ajaran 2024/2025 di SDN 128/II Pasir Putih. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui teknik analisis data observasi dan data hasil tes. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model guided discovery learning dapat meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar matematika kelas IV di SDN 128/II Pasir Putih. Rincian hasil observasi pendidik pada siklus I dengan rata-rata sebesar 79,5% dengan kategori Baik dan pada siklus II sebesar 90,8% dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Hasil observasi peserta didik pada siklus I dengan rata-rata sebesar 61,4% dengan kategori Cukup dan pada siklus II dengan rata-rata sebesar 84,6% dengan kategori Baik. Hasil belajar peserta didik siklus I 61,5% kriteria (belum tuntas) pada siklus II 88,4% kriteria (tuntas). Disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model Guided Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar Matematika.

Abstract

Basic education has a very strategic role in shaping the foundation of knowledge and character of the nation's children. The principal as the main leader in the school environment, holds great responsibility for determining the direction of policy and the success of educational institutions. This study aims to investigate the challenges of being a school principal in managing school management as well as how strategies in dealing with these challenges. The method in this paper uses the literature review method which is used to find data and scientific information about the case under study. The search for articles on the Google scholar uses the help of the Publish or perish application because using the benefit of an application will make it easier to find articles. The selection and screening stages were carried out by analysing the article title, keywords, abstract, background of the problem, author's question, and results and discussion. The results of this study found that as a manager leader, the principal has an important role in influencing education policy making to innovate in order to maintain and improve the quality of education. Key challenges include the lack of technology skills among teachers, especially older ones, and the high cost of technology tools. Effective strategies include visionary leadership, training and professional development of teachers, and provision of technology facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

School discipline creates a conducive and effective learning atmosphere therefore all students must adhere to the rules with great discipline so that the teaching and learning process runs smoothly. However, in fact, many students ignore the rules and regulations in the school environment. This study aims to describe: 1) planning discipline among students of SD IT Nur Hidayah, 2) organizing student discipline at SD IT Nur Hidayah, 3) implementing student discipline at SD IT Nur Hidayah, 4) supervising student discipline at SD IT Nuur Hidayah, and 5) monitoring and evaluating student discipline at SD IT Nur Hidayah. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative, because the data collected and analyzed are qualitative. The results of the study show that the success of enforcing student discipline at SD IT Nur Hidayath is highly dependent on the integration of five managerial aspects, namely planning, organizing, implementing, supervising, and monitoring and evaluating. With the involvement of all parties and integrated management, SD IT Nur Hidayah Surakarta has succeeded in creating a conducive educational environment in shaping students' disciplinary character, responsibility, and spirituality holistically.

Abstract

Humor holds significant potential in fostering humanistic and joyful learning, particularly in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the madrasah ibtidaiyah level. This article aims to examine the role of humor as a pedagogical strategy in instilling Islamic values in children through an ethnopedagogical approach. The study employs a library research method by reviewing relevant literature on educational humor, Islamic education for children, and culturally grounded teaching strategies. The findings reveal that verbal, nonverbal, and culturally based humor can effectively enhance students’ understanding of moral, ethical, and ritual values in Islam. Humor also contributes to creating a positive classroom climate, improving student engagement, and bridging religious concepts with children's everyday experiences. From an ethnopedagogical perspective, humor reflects local wisdom that enriches Islamic educational practices and strengthens cultural affinity. However, the use of humor demands ethical sensitivity and strong communication skills from teachers. Therefore, training in culturally responsive and ethical humor use is recommended for Islamic education teachers. This study offers a conceptual contribution to developing a more contextual, affective, and culturally rooted approach to Islamic education in elementary settings.

Abstract

Critical thinking ability is an essential 21st century competency that is vital to be developed in the learning process, especially in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects. Based on initial observations at MI Al-Inayah Pagerageung, it indicates that students' critical thinking abilities are still suboptimal, especially in solving problems that require high-level reasoning. This study aims to determine students' critical thinking abilities in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects before and after using the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model, as well as to determine the increase in students' critical thinking abilities in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects between before and after using the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model. The hypothesis in this study is that there is an increase in students' critical thinking abilities in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects after the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model. This study uses a quantitative experimental method with a pre-experimental design of the one group pre-test-post-test type. The results of the study showed an increase in the average score from 28.76 in the pre-test with a low category to 58 in the post-test with a sufficient category. The t-test results showed that t count was 9.556, which was greater than t table of 1.694, which means Ha was accepted. It was concluded that there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills in Natural Science lessons after the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model to improve students’ abilities and learning processes in solving mathematical story problems. The research used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection conducted over two cycles. Each cycle included two meetings. The data were collected through observation sheets, learning outcomes tests, and field notes. The results showed that the CPS model significantly improved students’ problem-solving abilities. The percentage of students achieving mastery increased from 62.5% in cycle I to 81.25% in cycle II. Likewise, the learning process became more active and engaging through collaborative and contextual problem-based learning.

Abstract

The primary concern of the study is the poor learning process andoutcomes in mathematics classes for third-grade students at SDN 101/IIMuara Bungo. This initiative aims to improve the mathematics learningprocess and outcomes for third-grade students at SDN 101/II MuaraBungo by utilizing the Make A Match technique. Two meetings are heldduring each of the two cycles of this classroom action study. Each cycleconsists of the following phases: planning, execution, observation, andreflection. In the second semester of the 2025 academic year, this studywas conducted in SDN 101/II Muara Bungo. The learning process, whichincludes observations of student activities, interactions betweenteachers and students, classroom management, and learning materials,is where the study's findings are evident. During cycle 1, educatorobservations received 85.71% in the very good category, and duringcycle 2, they received 97.61% in the very good category. Similarly,during cycle 1, student observations received 66.57% in the fairly goodcategory, and during cycle 2, they received 85.31% in the very goodcategory. According to the study's findings, the percentage of studentswho completed the test and obtained KKTP in the initial conditions was34.37%, or 11 out of 32 students; in cycle I, the percentage of studentswho achieved KKTP was 66.66%, or 18 out of 27 students; and in cycleII, the percentage of students who achieved KKTP was 92.85%, or 26out of 28 students.
