DE_JOURNAL (Dharmas Education Journal) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Dharmas Indonesia, dan sebagai sarana publikasi hasil penelitian serta berbagi perkembangan ilmu tentang pendidikan. Jurnal ini memuat artikel yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya yang berupa artikel hasil penelitian ataupun penelitian terapan, artikel telaah yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan ilmu pendidikan. DE_JOURNAL merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang berisi tentang hasil penelitian, kajian mendalam, gagasan atau inovasi pada bidang ilmu pendidikan. Abstract

Abstract There are two objectives of the study, the objectives are (1) To find the students’ improvement in writing procedure text before and after being taught by using Instagram Reels, (2) To know the students’ response the use of Instagram Reels in writing teaching learning process. The methodology of the study is pre-experimental Study. The writer used one group pre – test and post – test. The data were gathered through quantitative data. The writer took 30 students. The result of this study showed that: (1) The score of the students’ before using Instagram Reels in writing skills of procedure text has average 62.6 and the score of the students’ after using Instagram Reels in writing skills of procedure text has average 82. The value of sig. (2-tailed) was 0.00. if the value sig (2-tailed) between the score of pre – test and post – test was 0.000<0.050 means that there was significant difference between the students’ score before and after using Instagram Reels. (2) Most students responded positively to the use of Instagram Reels to improve their interest in writing, and they could be more creative in writing procedure text.

Abstract

At this time, there are still so many people in the world who cannot speak and understand the English language, especially Indonesian people. Because there are many differences in culture between English and Indonesia, and then factor that effect of translation. Furthermore, translation techniques also have an important to help people understand the meaning of the message from source language into target language contained in dialogues in the movie Enola Holmes. This study analyzing the translation techniques used in the dialogues in Movie “Enola Holmes” that was directed Harry Bradbeer. Based on the purpose this study is to identify types of the translation technique and to analysis translation technique are dominant to use by translator of translating from English to Indonesia in dialogues in the movie Enola Holmes. The theory utilized to analyzes the translation technique based on the theory Molina and Albir (2002). This study is qualitative descriptive. The findings of the study there are found fourteen translation techniques used by the translator, they are literal translation (38.7%), linguistic amplification (19.3%), established equivalent (9.7%), modulation (5.4%), generalization (4.7%), compensation (4.4%), linguistic compression (3.8%), adaptation (3.2%), transposition (3.0%), amplification (2.8%), borrowing (2.6%), particularization (1.1%), reduction (0.8%), calque (0.5%). From the result, the writer can conclude that translation techniques are dominant used by translator of this study is literal translation.

Abstract

The saturation of student learning is caused by the situation and conditions of the covid-19 pandemic so that learning activities have to be carried out online. During online learning, learning activities are deemed less effective, students cannot interact directly with friends and teachers, learning activities only charge students with assignments, guidance and counseling services are carried out the same every day. This causes students to get bored of learning. This study aims to describe the role of guidance and counseling teachers in overcoming boredom in student learning at SMP Muhammadiyah Bantul. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were guidance and counseling teachers and students of grades VII A, VIIA and IX E for the academic year 2021/2022. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there was learning saturation as indicated by the deviant behavior of students during the covid-19 pandemic. The boredom of learning is overcome by guidance and counseling teachers through the provision of situational guidance and counseling services. Changes in students after being given services can be seen from the increase in learning. Some students said that there was a change after being given the service, while some other students never experienced any change. Steps taken if students do not have changes the teacher will try as much as possible to change students' attitudes through case conferences.

Abstract

The process of interaction between teachers and students is called learning. Elementary school in Indonesia is the most basic level of education. The education system in Indonesia is governed by the curriculum. Currently the curriculum applied is the 2013 curriculum. Unlike the previous curriculum, the 2013 curriculum combines several subjects into one including science learning. In its application, learning science requires learning media. Learning media is divided into two types, namely conventional and modern. One of the modern learning media is Powtoon learning media. To maximize the use of Powtoon, it is combined with aspects of critical thingking skills. This study aims to (1) determine the development of Powtoon media, (2) determine the feasibility of Powtoon media, and (3) determine the practicality of Powtoon media. The research method used is Research and Development. The development model of this research is the ADDIE model which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this study: (1) produced a product in the form of Powtoon media based on critical thining skills, (2) the results of the feasibility of Powtoon media based on critical thinking skills got an average of 3.6 so that it was categorized as very feasible. (3) the practicality of Powtoon media based on critical thinking skills seen from the responses of students at the broad trial stage got a percentage of 92% so it was categorized as very practical. And the results of the extensive trial evaluation get a percentage of 91.6% so it is categorized as very practical.

Abstract

The main task of the teacher is to help students in terms of learning. In the process of teaching and learning teachers must provide courses to solve problems in the classroom, evaluating student learning, both before pre, middle and after class. A teacher must have high professional ability to carry out his or her role. Research has been conducted on "Efforts to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in IPS Learning Through Lecture Methods in Class VI SD S Tiga Hati". The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in IPS learning by using lecture methods. Quantitative data is obtained from observation. Interviews and homework. Qualitative analysis of data is data reduction, data presentation, data verivikation and quantitative analysis by using formulas to determine individual and classical absorption, degree of completion of classical learning, and average percentage. The results obtained are that students experience progress in their learning outcomes, compared to previous results still 26,6% of students who completed that 8 of the 30 students, in cycle I experienced an increase 30% from the initial activity to 56,6% that is 17 students who completed and in cycle II increased again that 26,7% to 83,3% where there is 25 Students who graduated from 30 students.

Abstract

Science learning is expected to be able to achieve the learning objectives, namely meaningful learning supported by increased understanding of scientific literacy in students. For that we need a learning pattern that connects the ability to process information obtained with scientific concepts and can be implemented in everyday life. The information obtained is of course not only understanding but also problems that exist in the environment that require solving a situation that creates a dilemma between existing facts and the concept of science as the basis of science. For that we need the right learning approach to assist in solving problems that exist in the environment, one of which is the socio-scientific issue (SSI) learning approach. This study uses a survey with data analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The subjects of the study were 23 science education lecturers with a minimum teaching qualification of 2 years. The results obtained are that 74% of science education lecturers are familiar with SSI, and 26% of science education lecturers are not familiar with SSI. SSI is more appropriate to be used in environmental learning activities as the implementation of all science concepts. The conclusion of this study is that the learning carried out by science education lecturers has not used the socio-scientific issue (SSI) approach in science learning.

Abstract

This type of research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to portray the utilization of snakes and stepping stools media in further developing understudy learning results in friendly investigations subjects for 5th grade primary school, this exploration was led in two gatherings. Each gathering comprises of four phases, specifically, arranging, activity, perception, and reflection. The quantity of subjects was 19 individuals, comprising of 9 men and 10 ladies. The technique utilized as the principle strategy is perception and tests. The outcomes showed that through the snake and stepping stool game media there was an increment in friendly investigations understudy learning results. The outcomes showed that understudy learning results in friendly examinations subjects expanded using snakes and stepping stools game media. Abstract

Learning media is a tools that made in a structured way to convey information and interact with the audience. Mind mapping media is a creative way of thoughts on each subject to record what is learned. The development of learning media are developed in a modern way. The media that will be develop is mind mapping based electronic learning media. The research aims to: (1) determine the development procedure. (2) Knowing the feasibility of mind mapping learning media. Mind mapping media uses the ADDIE research method. The steps for the ADDIE method are as follows: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the research are (1) to produce mind mapping based electronic learning media products. (2) The results of the feasibility by media experts get an average score of 3.8 and were declared very practical and material experts with 3.1 of total average score, were declared practical. (3) The practicality of mind mapping based on electronic learning media is taken from student responses with small, medium and operational scale trials with an average score of each subject 3.6, 3.71, and 3.75 which means it’s very practical.

Abstract

This research and development research to develop and determine the feasibility of interactive powerpoint media based on the material in theme 8 of our friend's environment in sub-theme 2 as a learning medium for fifth grade elementary school students. Learning media is a tool that can be used to assist the process of teaching and learning activities that aim to provide a stimulus response to students so that learning becomes easy.. This study uses a development model R n D from Sugiyono, namely ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation.). The feasibility of character-based interactive powerpoint media was obtained from the validation results of media experts, material experts, and assessments by practitioners. The average value of the media expert's validation results, which is 3.61, is included in the "very valid" category or very feasible to use. The results of the validation by material experts, namely 3.16, are included in the "valid" category or suitable for use. Meanwhile, the average result of the assessment by practitioners is 3.72 which is included in the "very valid" category or very feasible to use. The practicality of character-based interactive powerpoint media was determined from the results of student response questionnaires. The average value of the student's response to the small-scale trial was 3.59, the medium scale was 3.53 and the operational scale was 3.57. Thus, the results of the assessment of student responses to the media are said to be very practical.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in grade VI SDN 17 Sitiung. One effective way to overcome this problem is to use the “5E” Learning Cycle model, this study aims to determine the effect of the “5E” Learning Cycle model on student learning outcomes. This study uses a pre experimental design method in the form of one group pretest. The population in this study was grade VI students with a total of 20 students, the sampling technique was non-probability sampling saturated (census) technique. The data collection technique was carried out by giving a pretest, then continued with treatment and then posttest, the data analysis technique used SPSS 20. The result showed that there was a significant effect on the Learning Cycle “5E” model on the learning outcomes of sixth grade students at SDN 17 Sitiung Dharmasraya regency, with a significance level of 0,000<0,05 meaning H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.
