Abstract

Traditional project management principles strongly emphasize the triple constraints: time, cost and quality. The new paradigm, however, includes people, who remain the focus of all activities. The aim of this paper is to examine the result of a current research in Indonesia where a standard International Construction Contract is applied in the infrastructure sector because it was financed by multilateral agencies. Project people from those stakeholders groups were interviewed to collect their perceptions about the value of time, quality and cost aside from the issues of international contruction contract and project leadership. Initially, Owners, Designers, and Contractors were targeted. Use of the theoretical sampling process determined the need to target a second set of respondents. A construtivist ontology, interpretive epistemology and qualitative methodology were adopted. In-depth interviews were held with twenty-seven respondents from the stakeholder groups. Initial findings emerged concept that were then presented to expert from the Owner, Industry and University. Using constructivist paradigm, two major emerging constructs appeared from the respondents. The findings lead to the suggestion that modifications are needed to enhance the existing triple constraints in project management: time, quality and cost. The model of P & LESS was derived from the respondents. This embeds the elements of People, namely Leadership, Ethic, and Social Status with the time, quality and cost schema of project management. With this new concept, people and their elements would be more taken into consideration by the project stakeholders in securing the project success. Preliminary findings have shown that there are significant in the literature as opposed to practices in the real world of project implementation. This paper challenges the quantitative, technical, outcome based approach as unitary in nature. It presents a different view or paradigm that adds, as a central focus, the ‘people’ connection to time, quality and cost. It suggests that the importance of various aspects of people should also be taken into serious consideration in the evolution of project management, not only as a technical tool but more importantly as a field of knowledge required to solve organizational problems. Abstract

Abstrak. Pelaksanaan Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA) akan dimulai pada awal 2016 sesuai dengan kesepakatan yang ditandatangai oleh semua Kepala Negara ASEAN. Salah satu kesepakatan dalam MEA adalah aliran bebas tenaga kerja ahli dan trampil termasuk di bidang jasa Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (MSDM). Praktisi MSDM di Indonesia tidak sepenuhnya siap menghadapi persaingan yang semakin terbuka ini. Kompetensi praktisi Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (MSDM) di Indonesia perlu diteliti secara mendalam untuk mengetahui keberadaannya dilihat dari sisi praktisi MSDM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda statistik deskriptif untuk memetakan pendapat, persepsi, dan opini praktisi MSDM tentang kompetensinya. Responden yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini meliputi praktisi MSDM di Jabodetabek serta kota-kota besar di pulau Jawa, sesuai dengan lokasi utama organisasi/perusahaan swasta. Kerangka sampling yang dipergunakan adalah purposive non random sampling yang ditujukan pada anggota Perhimpunan Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (PMSM) Indonesia melalui studi kuisioner secara online. Responden yang telah mengisi kuisioner secara lengkap sebanyak 250 orang. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang pendidikan yang berkarir di MSDM beragam dari berbagai lulusan dan didominasi dari Jurusan Manajemen, kemudian disusul Psikologi, Teknik, dan Hukum. Evolusi profesi MSDM di Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar praktisi MSDM Indonesia (35%) masih terlibat dalam aktivitas administrasi dan Hubungan Industrial, sebanyak 21% sudah terlibat dalam pengambilan keputusan yang strategis, dan 20% sudah bertindak sebagai mitra strategis dan agen perubahan. Standar kompetensi praktisi MSDM beserta program pengembangan dan sertifikasinya dipersepsikan sangat penting serta memiliki urgensi yang tinggi untuk dikembangkan, walaupun pemerataan kesempatan untuk mengembangkan kompetensi tersebut tidak merata di seluruh Indonesia. Organisasi/perusahaan telah memberikan penghargaan yang signifikan pada profesi MSDM dengan 34,8% posisi tertingginya berada di level direktur, 14% berada di posisi general manager, dan 32,4% di posisi manajer. Lebih dari setengah responden menyatakan kurang siap menghadapi Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA), sehingga proses percepatan pengembangan kompetensi praktisi MSDM di Indonesia perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan daya saingnya dalam kompetisi regional dan global.Kata kunci: Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN, kompetensi, praktisi Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia Indonesia, purposive non random sampling, statistik deskriptif.Abstract. ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) will be implemented at the early 2016 referred to the agreement signed by all ASEAN countries' leaders. One of the agreement content is the free flow of skilled labor including Human Resources (HR) professional. Indonesia's HR practitioners are not fully ready to face this upcoming more open competition. HR professional competency in Indonesia needs to be examined deeply to find its existence to be seen from HR practitioners' point of view. This research uses descriptive statistic method to map ideas, perceptions, and opinions from HR practitioners pertaining their competencies. Respondents come from Jabodetabek area and the big cities in Java Island due to the main location of private companies. Sampling frame is purposive non random sampling to cover members of Indonesia HR Management Association via online questionnaire study. There are 250 respondents who filled the questionnaries completely. Research findings show that the educational background of Indonesia's HR practitioners is various and dominated by Management, then followed by Psychology, Technic, and Law. HR evolution in Indonesia indicates mostly being exposed in administration dan industrial relations (35%), 21% has been involved in strategic decision making process, and 20% has demonstrated as strategic partner and change agent. HR competency standard and its development and certification programs are perceived very important and urgent to be developed further, although the uqualization of development opportunity is not well distributed across Indonesia areas. Organization/company has already showed significant recognition to HR profession by giving the highest position at director level (34,8%), General Manager (14%), and Manager (32,4%). More than half respondent stated not ready to face the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), however the acceleration process of HR practitioners' competency development program needs to be done in order to enhance the competitiveness in regional and global competition.Keywords: ASEAN Economic Community, competency, descriptive statistic, Indonesia's Human Resources practitioner, purposive non random sampling.

Abstract

Abstract. Facing the era of global business competition, the company is required to continue to innovate and improve sustainably to expand and maintain the market. Business uncertainty breeds a new awareness of the importance of risk elements in every decision-making. Risks are unavoidable but risks can be well managed so that the probability of losses can be mitigated. Green Supply Chain Management examines the integration of environmental concepts in supply chain management. Prior research suggests that there are risks in GSCM implementation including partnerships, management policy failures, supplier failures, major customer failures, technology, and markets. This risk may result in delays in delivery, financial deviation, and damage to goods or other matters that may affect the smooth operation of the business. PT. Jamu Sehat which is one of the herbal manufacturers in Indonesia. The problem faced is the decline in the value of product sales. Therefore, the company seeks to increase the value of sales through the fulfillment of the demands of environmentally friendly products to provide added value to its products. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the risk of GSCM implementation at PT. Jamu Sehat. The method used is Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process to determine the priority of risk agent, then Plan-Do-Study-Act method is used to develop GSCM implementation strategy. Based on the analysis using PDSA, the proposed strategy is to update the existing Standard Operational Procedure in the company and standardize the product.Keywords: Risk, green supply chain management, fuzzy analytical hierarchy process, plan-do-study-actAbstrak. Memasuki era persaingan bisnis global, perusahaan dituntut untuk terus melakukan inovasi dan perbaikan secara berkelanjutan guna memperluas dan mempertahankan pasar. Ketidakpastian bisnis melahirkan kesadaran baru tentang pentingnya unsur risiko dalam setiap pengambilan keputusan. Risiko tidak bisa dihindari namun risiko dapat dikelola dengan baik sehingga peluang tingkat kerugian dapat dimitigasi. Green Supply Chain Management mengkaji pengintegrasian konsep lingkungan dalam supply chain management. Penelitian terdahulu menyebutkan bahwa terdapat risiko dalam implementasi GSCM mencakup kemitraan, kegagalan kebijakan manajemen, kegagalan pemasok, kegagalan pelanggan utama, teknologi, dan pasar. Risiko ini dapat menyebabkan keterlambatan pengiriman, penyimpangan finansial, dan kerusakan barang atau hal-hal lain yang dapat mempengaruhi kelancaran operasi bisnis. PT. Jamu Sehat yang merupakan salah satu produsen jamu di Indonesia. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah penurunan nilai penjualan produk. Untuk itu, perusahaan berusaha meningkatkan nilai penjualan melalui pemenuhan terhadap tuntutan produk yang ramah lingkungan guna memberikan nilai tambah pada produknya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi risiko implementasi GSCM pada PT. Jamu Sehat. Metode yang digunakan adalah Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process untuk menentukan prioritas risk agent, kemudian metode Plan-Do-Study-Act digunakan untuk menyusun strategi implementasi GSCM. Abstract

Model simulasi penegakan norma ini mencoba mendiskripsikan mekanisme yang memberikan kecenderungan tegaknya suatu norma belajar di lingkungan mahasiswa tingkat I Program Studi Sarjana Manajemen SBM-ITB. Simulasi ini menggunakan metode pemodelan berbasis agen menggunakan perangkat lunak NetLogo 4.0.4 sebagai alat bantunya. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa model penegakan norma belum memberikan hasil yang stabil terhadap tegaknya norma belajar, sementara adanya mekanisme metanorm akan memberikan kecenderungan terhadap kestabilan tegaknya norma belajar di kelas.Kata Kunci : Norma Belajar, Simulasi Berbasis Agen, Metanorm

Abstract

Pengurus pergudangan meletakkan harapan besar ke atas amalan-amalan yang diamalkan supaya ia dapat menghasilkan prestasi organisasi yang membanggakan. Kajian mengenai amalan pergudangan dan hubungannya dengan prestasi organisasi kurang diberikan tumpuan padahal permintaan ke atas sektor pergudangan adalah kedua tertinggi selepas pengangkutan dalam industri 3PLs. Oleh itu, kerangka konsep yang diperkenalkan ini sedikit sebanyak dapat membantu memperbanyakkan kajian dalam sektor pergudangan.Dengan menjadikan teori RBV sebagai asas untuk kepada pembangunan kerangka konsep mengenai hubungan amalan pergudangan dengan prestasi organisasi pergudangan amat bertepatan sekali kerana teori tersebut menyokong konsep hubungan sumber-sumber organisasi dengan prestasi. Sumber-sumber organisasi seperti sumber manusia, teknologi maklumat, material pengendalian dan jaringan telah dicadangkan dalam kerangka konsep untuk diuji bagi melihat hubungannya dengan prestasi organisasi. Kerangka konsep ini amat sesuai untuk diuji ke atas syarikat yang menjadikan perkhidmatan pergudangan sebagai teras perniagaan mereka.disebabkan survival perniagaan syarikat ini amat bergantung kepada amalan dan prestasi. Kata kunci: Logistik, Pengurusan Rantaian Pembekalan Pengurusan Pergudangan, Strategi Operasi

Abstract

Abstrak.Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki potensi dalam meningkatkan pendapatan serta penyerapan tenaga kerja. Kendala baik secara internal maupun eksternal masih banyak dialami UMKM sehingga dinilai belum berdaya saing tinggi untuk mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi serta pendapatan masyarakat. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang diperkirakan dapat meningkatkan daya saing UMKM. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengkonfirmasi rancangan model dan indikatornya yang dapat mempengaruhi daya saing UMKM melalui data primer yang kemudian diolah secara kuantitatif. Berdasarkan data dari 19 provinsi terdapat enam variabel utama yang membentuk daya saing UMKM suatu provinsi yaitu ketersediaan dan kondisi lingkungan usaha, kemampuan usaha, kebijakan dan infrastruktur, riset dan teknologi, dukungan finansial dan kemitraan, serta variabel kinerja.Kata kunci: usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM), daya saing, model empiris, validasi dan evaluasi model kualitatif, modifikasi model kualitatifAbstract. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have potentials in increasing incomes and employment. Some obstacles is experienced by many MSMEs, it is often considered as the reason of low competitiveness to boost economic growth and incomes. There are several factors that ar expected to increase the competitiveness of SMEs. This study aimed to confirm the model and indicators quantitatively that may affect the competitiveness of SMEs through primary. From the study, it was found that the need for an adjustment of the design of the models that have been built on previous studies. Based on data from 19 provinces, there are six main variables that shape the competitiveness of SME; resource availability and business environment, business capability, policy and infrastructures, research and technology; financing and partnership, and performances.Keywords: small and medium enterprises (SME), competitiveness, empirical model, validate & evaluate qualitative model, modified qualitative model

Abstract

This year, for the first time, Ernst & Young Indonesia and School of Business and Management (SBM), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) conducted Indonesian Entrepreneurs’ Barometer survey. This first Indonesian Entrepreneur’s Barometer, surveyed Indonesian entrepreneur to get the views of entrepreneurs who are qualified as outstanding amongst their peers. Survey respondents were selected by Ernst & Young Indonesia panels. The survey covers motivations, future plans and perceptions about Indonesian business environment. The results are presented in four sub-chapters under the following title: “ Succesful Entrepreneurs and their Business”, “ Funding & Wealth Realization”, “ Entrepreneur’s Outlook” and “ Business Environment”. This paper covers the first two chapters. In today’s time based competition, high equipment productivity in a manufacturing line is necessary in ensuring a competitive company. Focused Productive Maintenance emphasizes the importance of achieving profitability through equipment effectiveness. This paper demonstrates the logic of Buffer Management and Focused Productive Maintenance to shape competitive advantage in utilizing resources. Some ideas for future are given.

Abstract

AbstractPerformance are the result of a complex process, which are come from the employee (internal factors), company situation (external factors) and the company strategic efforts. Performance were able to assessed of corporate achievement objectives. The purpose is to analyzed the effect of emotional intelligence on performance through leadership style and organizational culture as moderator. Using a descriptive correlational method, this research have been conducted in the company of Pertambangan and Energi (Geothermal) in Kamojang. 205 employees selected as respondents by using proportionate random sampling. Questionaire was used as a tool in data collection method. Data analysis techniques is Multiple Regression Analysis. Emotional intelligence has a positive influence on the Performance, Emotional intelligence and transformational leadership positive effect on performance, Emotional intelligence and organizational culture affect the performance, The effect of emotional intelligence with moderation transformational and transactional leadership and organizational culture affects on performance. Organizational culture is the most dominant variable affecting performance and Transformational leadership has a small effect compared to the other three variables, that transformational leadership is considered less support for enterprises to increasing performance, thus a need to develop transformational leadership is a skill.  Keyword : Emotional intelligence, Leadership style, Organizational Culture, Performance.
