Abstract

This community service program aims to optimize the self-capacity of the Indonesian diaspora in Tsukuba, Japan, by strengthening digital and financial literacy. The program was conducted through educational sessions, practical workshops, mentoring activities, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test methods involving 15 members of PPI Ibaraki. The digital literacy materials focused on social media utilization, personal branding, and digital content creation, while financial literacy materials emphasized personal financial management, budgeting strategies, and safe digital investment practices. Evaluation results demonstrated a significant increase in participant understanding, with average scores improving from 55% to 90%, indicating a 35% increase in knowledge and practical skills. Participants also showed improved abilities in creating productive digital content and managing personal finances more responsibly while living in Japan. The findings indicate that integrated digital and financial literacy training can effectively strengthen the independence and adaptive capacity of Indonesian diaspora communities abroad.

Abstract

This study aims to address the digital technology gap and the high prevalence of stunting in Paddinging Village, South Sulawesi, through an integrated community service program combining village digitalization and public health intervention. The significance of this initiative lies in its potential to serve as a replicable model for inclusive and sustainable village development, particularly in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) areas across Indonesia. A qualitative participatory approach was employed, utilizing observation, semi-structured interviews, training, direct demonstrations, and active coordination with village officials, local youth, Posyandu cadres, and community members. Three main programs were implemented: (1) the creation of a Google Sites-based village website to enhance public information transparency and service accessibility; (2) QRASPIRASI, a QR code-based digital suggestion box system using Google Forms to strengthen citizen participation and government responsiveness; and (3) a stunting prevention intervention through nutrition education, toddler growth monitoring, and healthy food cooking demonstrations in collaboration with Posyandu cadres and Puskesmas health workers. The key findings demonstrate that the village website successfully improved access to public information and governance transparency, QRASPIRASI effectively facilitated two-way communication between residents and the village government with faster documented responses, and the stunting program enhanced parental knowledge of balanced nutrition and early detection of at-risk toddlers. These findings imply that an integrative model combining digital transformation and community health intervention is effective in promoting participatory, transparent, and sustainable village development, and can be adapted for other regions facing similar challenges in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and the national village digitalization agenda.

Abstract

PT Citra Wahana Nusantara Unit Dua Kelinci is a labor outsourcing company recruits an average of 40 employees per day. The recruitment process is still conducted using conventional methods, including manual registration, the management of applicant data that is not yet integrated, and the delivery of information via messaging applications such as WhatsApp. This makes the selection process less efficient, prone to registration errors, and difficult to monitor the status of applications in real time. This study aims to design and build a web-based Employee Recruitment Information System, equipped with online registration, test scheduling, application tracking, and Fixed-Term Employment Contract (FTE) management, to improve the efficiency of human resource management. This study employs an applied research approach using the waterfall (a sequential software development lifecycle model) system development method, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data collection was carried out through direct observation, interviews with the Human Resources Department, and literature reviews. The system was developed using the PHP programming language with a MySQL database. The study results demonstrate that the developed system integrates the entire recruitment process onto a single digital platform, from online registration, document verification, and test scheduling, to real-time tracking of application status and the management of employment contracts. This study recommends implementing an integrated information system as a solution for digitizing human resource management, especially in outsourcing companies with high recruitment volumes.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve the quality of the learning environment at SD YPPK Kuper, located in Kuper Village, Semangga District, Merauke Regency, through classroom revitalization using a child-friendly and educational interior design approach. The main problems faced by the school included unattractive classroom conditions, limited educational visual media, ineffective classroom layout, and inadequate supporting learning facilities. The implementation method consisted of several stages, namely surveying the existing classroom conditions, conducting participatory discussions with the school community, designing the classroom interior, carrying out revitalization activities through repainting and educational mural creation, and evaluating the results of the program. A participatory approach was applied by involving teachers, students, and university students throughout the implementation process. The results showed significant improvements in the physical condition of the classroom, making it more comfortable, attractive, clean, and educational. In addition, the activity also produced non-physical impacts, including increased learning motivation, higher student enthusiasm during the learning process, and the creation of a more interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Classroom revitalization through educational interior design proved to be a simple yet effective solution in supporting the improvement of educational quality in areas with limited facilities.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in response to the phenomenon of double burden experienced by women, especially mothers in Makassar City, who are required to carry out domestic and public roles simultaneously. This condition often causes women's leadership capacity and managerial abilities to be underrecognized. This service aims to transform the mindset of participants from just survival to empowered mothers through strengthening assertive speaking skills and priority management. The method used is Service-Learning with a participatory approach which is implemented through five stages of 120-minute workshops, including emotional validation, experiential reflection, role audit, identification of leadership skills, and simulation of Glass Ball and Rubber Ball strategies in decision-making. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' critical awareness in recognizing leadership competencies and managerial skills possessed through domestic activities. In addition, participants showed behavioral changes in determining priorities and making decisions more effectively. The expected long-term impact is the formation of a supportive community and the strengthening of women's leadership that is able to balance the roles of family and society in harmony.
