Abstract

The Tontong Suit Farmers Group is a group of farmers formed based on shared interests and a shared understanding of the group's business development. Located in Bagik Papan Village, Pringgabaya District, East Lombok Regency, the group has abundant local raw material resources, including corn cob waste and goat manure. Partners' main challenges include underutilization of abundant agricultural waste, rising prices of non- subsidized chemical fertilizers, and low technical knowledge and skills related to the use of high-quality trichoderma biodecomposers. Therefore, the purpose of the community service is to improve the understanding and skills of farmer group members using agricultural waste-based trichoderma biodecomposers. The implementation stages of community service activities include observation, problem identification, developing action plans, evaluation and follow-up. The results obtained are an increase in knowledge and technical skills of farmer group members utilizing agricultural waste-based trichoderma biodecomposers. The enthusiasm and feedback from participants are important points that are useful for the program's follow-up, namely mentoring the provision of compost fertilizer with trichoderma biodecomposers to each member of the Tontong Suit farmer group, with the hope that farmers can apply trichokompos in their farming activities, thereby increasing production and farmer income.

Abstract

A Community Service (PKM) activity with the theme "Digital Education: Building Children's Enthusiasm for Learning Amidst the Challenges of the Technological Era" was held at Duta Cendikia Christian Elementary School, Batam as an effort to increase the motivation and digital literacy of elementary school students. This program was motivated by the low enthusiasm for learning in students due to the undirected use of technology and teachers' limitations in integrating digital media into learning. The PKM activity was carried out for two months, involving teachers and students in grades IV–VI through a participatory approach, digital learning media training, and technology-based interactive activities. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' enthusiasm for learning, demonstrated by active involvement, creativity, and enthusiasm during the digital learning process. The majority of participants (more than 85%) expressed satisfaction with the materials, methods, and benefits of the activity, with a tangible increase in digital literacy. Interactive learning, a positive learning environment, and project-based contextual strategies have proven effective in fostering learning motivation in the digital era. Teachers also gained increased pedagogical competence in managing technology in an educational manner. Overall, this PKM activity contributes to building an adaptive, creative, and character-based learning ecosystem that not only fosters a passion for learning but also fosters responsible and Christian-based learning behaviors. This program is expected to serve as a model for good practices in implementing digital education in elementary schools to address the challenges of education in the technological era.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to strengthen the capacity of the West Kalimantan Gerkatin disability group through digital marketing training to support inclusive digital transformation. Implemented by the Muhammadiyah University of Pontianak, this activity addresses partner issues related to weak financial management and limited access to digital marketing. Solutions provided include training in financial management, product photography, social media marketing, AI-based copywriting, and assistance in creating an online store via WooCommerce. On September 13 and 20, 2025, 35 deaf participants participated in the training with the support of a Sign Language Interpreter. As a result, 60% of participants were able to prepare financial reports, 75% understood digital marketing, and 70% produced catalog-worthy product photos and descriptions. The implementation of the program encountered challenges associated with participants’ limited baseline digital literacy; however, these were mitigated through intensive mentoring and the application of accessible, disability-friendly technologies. The program also produced a prototype website for cacatjualan.com and various outputs such as journal articles, media publications, videos, posters, and training materials that support the achievement of activities, particularly poverty alleviation, decent work, inequality reduction, and support for the university's Key Performance Indicators in the field of community service. The impact is seen in improving digital skills, social inclusion, and the economic potential of disability groups.

Abstract

Environmental pollution has become one of the crucial problems faced by various countries in the world, including Indonesia. One of the main contributors to environmental pollution is waste, specifically plastic waste, which continues to increase in volume as the population grows and the consumption of modern society. State Elementary School (SDN) 104201 Kolam, as one of the basic education institutions, faces the same challenges in efforts to protect the environment around the school and instill environmental concern values in its students. A clean, healthy, and sustainable school environment not only supports an effective learning process, but also serves as an example for the surrounding community. Therefore, a structured and sustainable character mentoring program is needed to equip SDN 104201 Kolam students with knowledge, attitudes, and skills in maintaining and reducing environmental pollution. This Community Service Activity (PKM) is carried out by solving problems found in partners, namely 1) Lack of behavior to protect the environment and reduce environmental pollution. 2) Not maximized character learning to dispose of garbage to realize educating children in realizing environmentally friendly schools and making a real contribution to the achievement of the SDGs. In solving these problems, several stages have been carried out. The initial stage of mentoring began with education and socialization about the importance of protecting the environment and the dangers of pollution, introducing the concept of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) as a basic framework for waste management and the importance of fostering awareness in students about protecting and caring for the environment was emphasized from the beginning. From the results of observations after the service was carried out, it was found that the mentoring program succeeded in shifting the habit of disposing of mixed waste towards organic and inorganic waste sorting, with a significant increase in the volume of sorted waste.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers in Indonesia often struggle with a lack of creative teaching materials and low income. This community program aimed to tackle both problems at once through hands-on training in education and entrepreneurship. 30 PAUD teachers from HIMPAUDI Kecamatan Sungai Ambawang, Kubu Raya Regency, joined the program on November 1, 2025. Two main sessions were held: one focused on making Educational Play Tools (EPT) from recycled materials, and another on basic entrepreneurship and digital marketing. Teachers were introduced to the "edupreneur" concept, the idea that educators can create meaningful teaching tools while also building financial independence. During the workshop, participants produced six original EPT products, assessed on creativity, educational value, quality, and marketability, which were then donated to the host school. Feedback from partners across all evaluation areas was rated "Very Good." These results show that combining entrepreneurship training with early childhood education is an effective way to both professionalize teachers and improve their economic wellbeing.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to describe the implementation and initial outcomes of hybrid training in organic waste management using the Takakura method in Awan Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, Bali. The activity was conducted on July 4, 2026, using a participatory approach that combined online education and onsite practice. A total of 114 university students participated in the activity, consisting of 60 online participants through Zoom Meeting and 54 onsite participants. All participants attended a talk show on organic waste management, while onsite participants also joined demonstrations, discussions, and compost-making practice. The evaluation was conducted descriptively through observations of participation, discussion engagement, the ability to follow composting stages, and activity outputs. The onsite participants were divided into five groups and produced five Takakura compost baskets. Online education expanded the dissemination of information, whereas onsite practice provided direct experience in preparing materials, arranging the composting medium, mixing organic waste, and understanding basic compost maintenance. The results indicate that hybrid training can combine knowledge dissemination with technical skills learning. However, because the activity did not include measurements before and after the program or long-term monitoring, the findings were limited to implementation outcomes and participants’ initial skills. Follow-up assistance is needed to monitor compost maturity, the continued use of the baskets, and the application of the Takakura method in the community.
