Abstract

The web-based community complaint system is designed to improve the quality of public services by facilitating the reporting of complaints and suggestions from the public effectively and efficiently. The system utilizes web technology to allow the public to report complaints and suggestions online, thus facilitating the reporting process and speeding up the response time. The system has features such as complaint reporting, status tracking, feedback, and data analysis to assist the government and relevant agencies in identifying and resolving problems. Thus, this system can increase public satisfaction, transparency, and public participation in the improvement of public services. This research uses qualitative and quantitative research methods to develop and test the system. The results show that a web-based public complaint system can improve the quality of public services and satisfy the needs of the community. Therefore, this system can be used as an effective solution to improve the quality of public services in Indonesia

Abstract

The development of information technology is increasingly rapid, facilitating the exchange of information and business activities through websites. PT Labani is one of the commercial businesses that focuses on providing software development. PT. Labani's website has several shortcomings, especially in terms of poorly structured navigation and unattractive visual design, which has an impact on a less than optimal user experience when ordering PT. Labani online. Based on the questionnaire analysis, users highly value accurate information and attractive visual design when booking a hotel online. These findings support the development of an interface design designed to provide a more structured and informative user experience. This research aims to redesign and improve the UI/UX quality of PT Labani's website by using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method. The research process includes direct observation, understanding the context of use, determining user needs, solution design, and evaluation through ordering scenarios and information presentation. Measurements were made using the System Usability Scale (SUS), which showed initial values of 18 and 39, which then increased to 90 and 81 after design improvements. This research successfully produced a solution in the form of a more structured and informative interface redesign, which contributed to increased user satisfaction.

Abstract

Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) is a form of education by providing learning experiences for students to live in the community outside the campus, who are directly together with the community to identify potential and handle problems so that they are expected to be able to develop the potential of the village / region and concoct problems in the village. KKNT activities are expected to hone partnership soft skills, interdisciplinary / scientific teamwork (cross-competency), and student leadership in managing development programs in rural areas. The purpose of KKNT activities is an activity to provide opportunities for students to apply their knowledge, technology and skills to collaborate with many stakeholders in the field, and help accelerate development in rural areas. The results of this service will record the activities of KKNT students in this application, from each KKNT student activity from the results of monitoring by field supervisory lecturers that the KKNT students 90% carry out activities with partner field supervisors and 10% of making KKNT student activity reports.

Abstract

The quality of service provided by telecommunication providers is critical to ensure competitiveness in a competitive market. This quality often depends on the policies taken by the provider, which must be based on factual data to avoid decisions that deviate from field conditions. One resource that can be utilized is customer phone call data, which can be analyzed and grouped to understand call behavior. This study aims to implement the Clustering Using Representative (CURE) method in segmenting phone call behavior. The CURE method was chosen because of its ability to find clusters of various shapes and sizes, even when key attributes have low contributions. The test results show that this method is able to produce clusters with a high average percentage of accuracy. Thus, the CURE method is proven to be effective for segmenting phone call behavior, providing a strong foundation for telecommunication providers to make strategic decisions, such as tariff adjustments, loyalty programs, and customer retention strategies.

Abstract

Development and management of websites (websites) depend on information technology. Websites are digital media that are used for various purposes, such as e-commerce, entertainment, communication, data and information. Companies, schools, colleges, and other organizations have widely used websites for a variety of purposes, including promotions, sales, education, data collection, and other activities that require information to be posted, sent, and received. Medan Tuntungan District, the data collection process for waste collection officers assigned to the District still uses Microsoft Office Excel, where each waste collection officer is assigned to a different location. Data collection on waste collection officers is the process of collecting, processing and recording information relating to individuals on duty or assigned to a sub-district in Medan Tuntungan District. Abstract

This research aims to apply the SMART method (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique) as a System Decision Support (SPK) in selecting activities extracurricular for students at the Singosari Education Foundation Delitua. The SMART method is applied to analyze criteria such as physical condition, medical history, interests, talents, and achievements, ensuring that students are matched with the most suitable extracurricular activities. Data collection was carried out through interviews and observations, followed by system design and testing. The research findings demonstrate that the SMART method successfully optimizes the decision-making process, enhances efficiency, and improves student satisfaction in extracurricular selection.

Abstract

In the process of compiling the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) in the information systems study program of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer, Universitas Harapan Medan, it is still done manually, namely by using Microsoft Office Excel, so it takes a long time to collect data and compile the report and there is no media to collect evidence that supports the preparation of the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS). Therefore, a system was built as a medium to collect supporting evidence for the preparation of the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) and to store Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) data in the information systems study program. In designing the construction of this website-based LKPS information system, a system development method will be used, namely the Rapid Application Development (RAD) Method. This system is built using the PHP programming language and MySQl as its database with the data modeling used is UML. Based on the black box testing of the LKPS Information System, all existing buttons can run according to their functions. In the end result, it was obtained that the system can run as expected and make it easier to manage data for compiling LKPS.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to implement the raita algorithm as a solution for searching biographies of figures in the Bible. Raita performs string matching starting from the rightmost string pattern to the leftmost string pattern that is aligned with the sting text with a predetermined shift based on the BmBc value. Raita can be used as a solution for string matching in the search for information related to the biography of figures in the Bible. In the case study conducted in this research, Raita can complete string matching to find patterns in the text very quickly, namely with only 2 (two) shifts

Abstract

The city of Medan has recorded a significant increase in the percentage of smokers in recent years. This is in line with the increase in the prevalence of smokers nationally. There are a lot of deaths caused by smoking habits in Indonesia every year. To reduce the negative impact of cigarettes and protect public health, the Medan City government has issued a Regional Regulation on Smoke-Free Areas (KTR). Even though there are regulations regulating non-smoking areas in the city of Medan, it turns out that the level of compliance of the people of Medan is still very low. This research aims to create a system that can detect smoking violations in the smoke-free area of Medan city. This study uses the YOLOv5l model to detect cigarettes. The researcher collects and analyzes the necessary datasets. The dataset is divided into data training, validation, and testing. The model evaluated using test data got a fairly good mAP score.
