Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based tracer study system at Dian Nusantara University using the Waterfall method. The system is designed to assist higher education institutions in tracking alumni's career paths and their level of satisfaction with the education they received. Additionally, this system aims to expedite the survey form completion process by alumni, ensuring that the collected data is more accurate and easier to analyze. The development stages include requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing to ensure system performance. The outcome of this research is a platform that allows alumni to fill out surveys online, facilitating data processing by the university. This system is expected to strengthen the relationship with alumni and provide valuable information for curriculum development and educational planning.

Abstract

The rapid of information and competition in the world of the internet has caused the website reksanusindosejahtera.com disappear on the first page of Google Search Results and queries. Therefore, it has less viewers and subscribers. Search Egine Optimization (SEO) is a method that will be used to overcome the issue of viewers and subscribers on a website. This research applies Search Engine Optimization (SEO) by using two tools, Google Console and Google Analytics, to optimize keyword searches. The aim of this research is to assist the website in appearing on the first page of Google Search results, thereby maximizing business outcomes. The results of website optimization are based on the analysis and implementation of this method; the main page of the website with the primary keyword reksanusindo.com has been indexed by search engines and appears on the first page of Google search results. It can be confirmed that the statistics for website visits have increased than the previous numbers. Furthermore, this website will continue to be optimized to achieve even better results.

Abstract

The face recognition-based attendance system is an innovative solution to improve the efficiency and accuracy of student attendance at SMKN 1 Luwu Utara. This study aims to develop and implement a Face Recognition-based attendance system using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm. The research method used is an experimental method with stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and system testing. The results show that this attendance system has an accuracy rate of up to 95% in recognizing students' faces, thus reducing the risk of attendance fraud. Additionally, the system provides a seamless and automated way of tracking attendance, eliminating manual errors and reducing administrative workload. The implementation of this system has also received positive responses from the school due to its ease of use and effectiveness in recording attendance data in real-time. The system's ability to integrate with existing school databases further enhances its practicality and usability

Abstract

The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) announced the Merdeka Belajar policy in early 2020 as an effort to reform the national education system. This policy has generated various responses from the public, including both support and criticism. Twitter, as one of the most widely used social media platforms, has become a primary medium for the public to express their opinions, feedback, and perspectives on this policy. Sentiment analysis can be utilized to identify and classify public opinions embedded in Twitter posts to understand societal responses toward the Merdeka Belajar policy. This study aims to develop a sentiment analysis model for the Merdeka Belajar policy using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm. The model is designed to classify sentiments into three categories: positive, negative, and neutral. Additionally, this study applies hyperparameter tuning to optimize the model’s performance in sentiment classification. Hyperparameter tuning is conducted to determine the best parameter combination to enhance the model's accuracy. The results indicate that the developed model achieves a sentiment classification accuracy of 82.54%.

Abstract

This study analyzes the partial and simultaneous effects of leadership and compensation on employee performance at the Sitinjak POS office. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 21 employees through questionnaires distributed via Google Forms. This research applies hypothesis testing using linear regression analysis with SPSS 25 and Microsoft Excel. The findings indicate that both leadership (X1) and compensation (X2) have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Furthermore, the simultaneous analysis confirms that leadership and compensation collectively influence employee performance, contributing 63.7% to the overall variance. These results emphasize the importance of effective leadership and fair compensation in enhancing employee productivity and organizational performance.

Abstract

Online learning is one of the implementations of distance education that continues to develop, particularly with the utilization of video conferencing applications such as Zoom Meeting. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using Zoom Meeting in online learning by focusing on detecting students' attention levels based on blink analysis. In this research, an eye detection module was developed using the Dlib Model and Facelandmark, with the Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) method as a feature extraction technique. Blink analysis was conducted to determine the blink ratio, which serves as an indicator of an individual's attention level. Generally, attention levels can be identified through blinking patterns, where fatigue or lack of focus is reflected in higher blink frequency. The study results show that the developed system can identify an individual's focus level with a highest accuracy of 95.56% in tests with three subjects, while the lowest accuracy was 72.24% in tests with 16 subjects. Based on the analysis of blink frequency during learning sessions using Zoom Meeting, it can be concluded that the average student focus level remains within the normal range.

Abstract

Indonesia wants to achieve the WHO 2025 tuberculosis eradication strategy with a target incidence of less than 55 cases per 100,000 people. The Ministry of Health recorded the highest number of cases ever in 2024 with the number of cases reaching 1,060,000. Tuberculosis, which generally attacks the lungs, is expected to kill 40 million people in the world by 2050. Without intervention from various fields, this TB outbreak will have a terrible impact on the world's population, especially India and Indonesia, which occupy the 2 countries with the highest number of TB cases. The purpose of this study is to produce an analysis and design of an application that involves a drug swallowing supervisor (DSS) so that it can provide better control in order to increase the cure rate of pulmonary TB. In addition to supervisors, stakeholders involved can be patients, families, doctors, clinics, health offices, and the health ministry. Like Covid control, which is considered successful with the PeduliLindungi application which has now changed to SATUSEHAT, it is hoped that the results of this study can follow the government's success in significantly reducing the rate of pulmonary TB. The method used is the Design Thinking (DT) Framework. DT is a consumer-centric approach. User-centric UI/UX designs will have a higher acceptance rate. DT has been successfully applied in various fields such as healthcare, education, marketing, sales, management and so on. DT includes 5 phases, namely: 1) Empathize, 2) Define, 3) Ideate, 4) Prototype, and 5) Test. The result of the study was a UI/UX design evaluated by the SUS (System Usability Scale) method which achieved an average score of 82.5. The interpretation of the number shows that the UI/UX design is acceptable to respondents with category A (very good).

Abstract

Andhika Clinic must have a relevant strategy according to the characteristics of its services, a strategy that can be implemented, the service is better, when compared to what its competitors are doing. So Andhika Clinic must maintain service to patients. Good employee performance is measured by patient satisfaction in receiving the services provided by employees. And this service will maintain patient loyalty for treatment at Andhika Clinic. Employee performance appraisal is influenced by several factors. These factors can result in service procedures not being carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and when sending patient complaints they still use a suggestion box, making it very difficult to convey patient complaints directly in the performance of employees in serving patients. Using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method to overcome the above problems in terms of addressing service quality which affects employee performance by designing a website-based application. The advantage of the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method is that it can show attributes that need to be improved or reduced to maintain patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Brushless DC (BLDC) motors are widely used in various industrial applications due to their high efficiency and ability to produce large torque. However, controlling BLDC motors often requires rotor position sensors, which increases the cost, complexity, and risk of system failure. Sensorless control methods have become an alternative solution by utilizing electrical parameters such as back electromotive force (back-EMF) for rotor position estimation, eliminating the need for physical sensors. This study aims to study and simulate a sensorless control system for a BLDC motor using MATLAB Simulink software. This approach integrates a back-EMF detection algorithm with hysteresis control to ensure commutation stability at variable speeds. Simulation results show that this method is capable of producing accurate and responsive control to changes in load and speed, with higher energy efficiency compared to sensor-based methods. This study makes a significant contribution to the development of more economical, reliable, and effective BLDC control technology. This model-based simulation also offers important insights into the development of BLDC motor control systems for practical applications in various fields. Further research can be focused on the implementation of the system on hardware to validate the simulation results.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy efficiency is increasing along with the high cost of energy and concerns about environmental impacts. At the household scale, electrical energy waste often occurs due to the lack of effective monitoring. Internet of Things (IoT) technology offers an innovative solution by enabling real-time monitoring of energy consumption through connected devices. This study aims to design and implement an IoT system based on NodeMCU ESP32 and PZEM-004T sensor to monitor electrical energy usage in households. The research method involves the integration of current and voltage sensors with an ESP32 microcontroller, which is connected via a Wi-Fi network for data collection. The data collected includes electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power, and energy, which are then displayed in real-time through a user interface. The results show that this system is able to monitor energy consumption with good accuracy, detect energy waste patterns, and provide early warnings of electricity usage anomalies. This system also increases user awareness of energy consumption, thereby reducing electricity waste and supporting energy conservation efforts. Thus, this study contributes to the development of IoT technology for more efficient and sustainable household energy management.
