Abstract

This study aims to determine the kinds of correspondence records that are managed by village offices, how to store them, how to handle them, and the means used to store them so that the records retrieval is easy so as allowing the data contained in the records as a source of information. Through surveys and observations, the research took place in all village offices in Jatilawang sub-district, Banyumas district, Central Java province. From the results of the survey and observation, the researchers concluded that there are differences from one village office to another in the management of correspondence records. However, there are similarities in the handling of the correspondence records, namely every incoming letter and outgoing letter are recorded first in the agenda book, the village head knows every incoming and outgoing letters because every letter received by the office should be transferred first to the Village Head to be assigned to a certain village staff to execute the purpose of the letter. All records are principally managed by Kaur (kepala Urusan) or staff for mail handling and administration affairs, but Kaur or staff for Kesejahteraan or welfare affairs and Kepala Dusun or staff for human empowerment still retain some correspondence records. Some of the differences in the handling of the correspondence records, namely in the format agenda book, the means used to manage the records, and records arrangement method.

Abstract

Pertamina EP Donggi Matindok Field (PEP DMF) in Regional 4 significantly contributes to production and profit, accounting for 1.95% of total SHU production and 2.46% of net profit by the third quarter of 2023. However, PEP DMF faces challenges with Loss Production Opportunity (LPO), which denotes the gap between potential and actual production, impacting both production performance and revenue. The research aims to tackle the increase in Loss Productivity Opportunity (PPO) by identifying the main problems, analyzing contributing factors, determining root causes, and developing strategies to mitigate LPO, particularly focusing on the 2023 increase. Through a structured approach, the study provides a comprehensive analysis of the issues leading to increased LPO and offers practical business solutions, contributing valuable insights that can be applied to similar industrial challenges. The root causes were pinpointed using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Pareto Diagram methods, identifying primary issues as unreliable IGBT components, the absence of certified engineers, and discontinued spare parts for the VSD Booster Compressor. The recommended solution, determined through Kepner-Tregoe Decision Analysis, is to replace a new brand that has domestic engineers and its spare parts are still being produced.

Abstract

In today's dynamic economic environment, developing leadership competencies is vital for organizational success. Despite the growing recognition of the importance of leadership development, there is a notable research gap in understanding how specific talent management strategies impact the enhancement of leadership competencies. This study investigates how talent management (TM) and strategic learning leadership (SLL) contribute to cultivating organizational leadership competencies (OLCs) in Indonesian state-owned companies. The study utilised a quantitative study with a random convenient sampling method using Google Forms in Indonesian state-owned companies. Data were collected from across 25 state-owned companies, with a total of 605 respondents participating. Statistical analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test the hypotheses. The findings indicate that SLL significantly mediates the relationship between TM and OLCs, enhancing the impact from 17.2% to 58.5%, with SLL showing a stronger influence on OLCs compared to TM. Overall, these factors account for 55.2% of the impact on OLCs. This study contributes to the existing literature by highlighting the critical role of strategic learning leadership in enhancing leadership competencies, offering valuable insights for organizations aiming to develop effective leadership through strategic approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate efforts to preserve traditional Chinese marriages through marriage legalization in the city of Cirebon, Indonesia. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research because it is to minimize changes in attitudes from the millennial generation that can cause the loss of traditions and cultural heritage of ancestors regarding customary marriage. The population studied was ethnic Chinese who are members of the Chinese Ethnic Social Clan, both traditionally and nationally. Data analysis was carried out using the content analysis method, using concepts from structural functionalism theory and social change theory as the framework of analysis. The results of the research show that marriages that are not registered can still be submitted for registration, even though they have exceeded the maximum limit (60 days) as long as a court decision in the form of a determination of marriage registration is obtained first. The validity of marriage is also studied from the theory of structural functionalalism. This research contributes to preserving cultural heritage by addressing the legal recognition of customarily married marriage in the Chinese ethnic community. The government needs to issue provisions that regulate the issue of the marriage registration mechanism due to the delay in marriage registration so that couples who have been married and have not been recorded get legal certainty that protects the validity of their marriage, especially regarding the status of children.

Abstract

Forecasting is important in investment because of the inconsistent stock price pattern that requires in-depth analysis. This study proposes using a combination of heuristic and Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) models on Fuzzy Time Series Type 2. This study aims to obtain accurate forecasting results by using more data from the time series. The results show that the proposed model provides accurate forecasting. The FCM model is used to group data into clusters and form intervals. Heuristics also optimizes the performance of Fuzzy Logical Relationships Group (FLRG) by using up and down trends. Type 2 FTS is an extension of  Type 1 that uses union and intersection operators to refine fuzzy relations. The results show that the modification by combining FCM and heuristics in Type 2  FTS for stock forecasting provides excellent results with a MAPE value of 2,87%.

Abstract

In the context of rising misinformation on social media, this study examines the influence of hoaxes spread through fake TikTok accounts on public opinion during Indonesia's 2024 presidential election. The study aims to analyze how fake accounts, including notable examples like @ridwanyulio and @sendycahyani1744, leverage hoaxes to sway political perceptions, undermine trust in democratic processes, and foster social division. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through observational analysis of comments, engagement, and content shared by these accounts. The data was then analyzed to explore patterns of misinformation, strategies used to manipulate narratives, and the resulting public impact. Findings indicate that these accounts employ targeted and organized hoax tactics, utilizing edited videos and images to propagate misleading narratives. The study concludes that such hoaxes pose a threat to information integrity, potentially leading to increased polarization and conflict. The implications of this research highlight the need for robust media literacy programs, stricter platform regulations, and collaborative efforts among stakeholders to combat misinformation, thereby supporting a healthier democratic environment.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of capital adequacy ratio (CAR), product asset quality (KAP), return on assets (ROA), net profit margin (NPM), financing to deposit ratio (FDR), and their impact on dividend payout ratio (DPR). This study contributes to the understanding of financial performance and dividend policies in the banking sector by examining the relationships between key financial metrics. The results show that the CAR has a positive and significant effect on dividend policies for banking companies in ASEAN. The quality of product assets has an important effect on the dividend policy of property, real estate, and building construction companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The FDR is a negative and insignificant factor that affects dividend policies. The findings can inform banking institutions in formulating strategies to optimize their financial performance while maintaining an attractive dividend policy. This study provides valuable insights for stakeholders, including investors, management, and policymakers, on how financial health and operational efficiency can affect shareholder returns.

Abstract

The study aims to evaluate the reintegration program for former Boko Haram and ISWAP combatants in North East Nigeria. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 500 respondents. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicated that 105 respondents, representing 52.5% agreed that economic, social, and political factors were vital to the success or challenges of the program. They also strongly agreed that less cases of recidivism were a factor affecting the success of the programme. The research contributes to understanding the design of inclusive programs that consider both community and individual needs, aiming to enhance social cohesion and minimize conflict in post-conflict environments. Furthermore, the research on effective communication strategies to inform and engage host communities could shed light on methods to foster understanding and reduce fear regarding ex-combatants. The establishment of independent oversight bodies could be studied to understand their role in monitoring program financing, stakeholder accountability, and resource management.
