Abstract

Wringin Kurung Hamlet is one of the hamlets of Gresik Regency, in 2016 a 100m deep well was drilled in this area as well as the construction of a 12 cubic tank with assistance from the government. Currently, HIPPAM managing Tirta Agung's clean water has been distributed to 271 residents' homes. HIPPAM management is still very simple, the HIPPAM organizational structure only consists of a Chairman, deputy elders, Secretary, Treasurer, technicians and operations. The method refers to the objectives of the activities that have been determined, namely the problem of producing water from the well directly pumped into reservoirs and then distributed to residents, so that the water is often accompanied by sand and is sometimes cloudy. There is no spare pump and pipe for the prospective new well because the source is located far from the source and installing new pumps, repairing and assisting tertiary pipe installations and adding plug n play filters in several tertiary channels. Internalizing a good work culture in the management environment by holding training and mentoring on organizational culture, structuring human resources, providing a sipemeter application used for recording water meters, knowing income, expenses and profit and loss from partners, apart from this, training and mentoring for new businesses has been carried out wash the motorbike. In this new business, the team provides assistance and training to partners, both in terms of management and financial management.

Abstract

Waste management is a significant issue faced by the community in Cimekar Village, particularly in the KAPPSA  Waste Bank. One of the primary challenges in waste management is the low interest and participation of human resources in managing waste. This Community Service Program aims to identify the obstacles in increasing human resource engagement in waste management at the KAPPSA Waste Bank.The method employed in this study is qualitative, utilizing a case study approach that involves in-depth interviews and participant observation. The findings reveal that a lack of understanding about the importance of waste management, limited resources, and low environmental awareness are the main factors hindering public interest. Additionally, social and economic factors contribute to the decline in community participation in waste management activities.In conclusion, more effective strategies are needed, such as enhancing environmental education, empowering the community, and fostering collaboration with various stakeholders, to address these challenges and boost community interest in waste management at the KAPPSA  Waste Bank in Cimekar Village. It is hoped that these programs will encourage active community involvement in maintaining environmental cleanliness and sustainability

Abstract

One example of a business in the food service sector is a katering service that provides food orders to be delivered to various places according to customer needs. Elysabeth Annete, Chairperson of Bintang Surabaya's SME Partners, acted as a sponsor for the SMEs this year. However, the partners faced several obstacles, such as limited production capacity that was unable to meet market demand. This is due to the use of traditional (slow) meat processing machines, production processes that rely on manual equipment, and the lack of ability to manage finances independently. The objectives of this Student Creativity Program (PKM) are to increase the production capacity and quality of partner machines by applying appropriate technology. Increase partner income through increased production capacity. The program implementation method includes planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, success indicators, and program achievement targets. The focus of this experiment is to increase design pressure through the application of Appropriate Technology (TTG) on Chicken Roasting Machines, so as to increase production capacity and product quality. As a result, the partners successfully completed the training and adjustment program in accordance with the guidelines from the PKM UWP team.

Abstract

This Community Service aims to provide training and guidance to the workers or food handlers at UM Krecek Krupuk "Bu Nor" on food safety and food quality related to nutritional content. The issues faced by UM Krecek Krupuk "Bu Nor" industry include a lack of understanding regarding food safety standards, which could affect consumer health. Additionally, there is a lack of information about the nutritional content of the products, reducing their appeal in a market that is becoming increasingly health-conscious. Furthermore, there is no practical guide for improving product quality without compromising production efficiency. This community service utilizes methods such as lectures, focus group discussions, laboratory analysis, and mentoring. The target group for this activity consists of three workers from the UM Krecek Krupuk "Bu Nor" industry. The outcome of this community service is that the participants received food safety training and laboratory testing of the nutritional content of the Krecek Krupuk, which will be displayed on the product packaging in the nutrition information section, thereby enhancing competitiveness and consumer trust.

Abstract

Research approach carried out with the aim of solving problems by teachers in the context of learning, with the benefits of improving the quality of learning, improving teacher profesionalism, adjusting learning methods, creating a better learning environment and as a means of teacher evaluation and self-reflection. The purpose of this community service activity in addition to the Tri dharma activities of lecturers is to provide teachers with a deep understanding of, and provide teacher skills on making learning modules at SMK NIBA Business School. This activity method uses the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method with a lecture approach, discussion with the FGD (Focus Group Discussion) strategy by involving the participation of activity participants, namely teachers, education personnel and students. This community service activity is carried out with 4 steps which include (1) providing material about PTK, (2) providing discussion opportunities for participants, (3) participants are given practice in making learning modules and (4) participants are given guidance on compiling reports on the results of class action research activities. The results of this community service activity are (1) the achievement of goals about teachers understanding in depth about classroom action research and understanding about the PTK cycle. (2) teachers are able to create creative learning module designs with the SAM (Successive Approximation Model) design model (3) Teachers are able to create constructivism-based learning. The conclusion of this community service activity is that educators (teachers) at SMK NIBA Business School are able to understand improve teacher competence in making creative learning modules.

Abstract

University students are a vulnerable group when facing emergencies and engaging in delinquent behaviors, often due to a lack of skills in managing environmental pressures. This issue is the main focus of a Community Service Program (PkM) implemented at Pamulang University. The objective of this program is to enhance students' preparedness for emergency situations and prevent their involvement in delinquent behaviors. The target of this program was 50 students from Pamulang University. The program activities included interactive lectures, case studies, practical training for handling emergencies (such as fires, accidents, and criminal acts), and educational sessions on the causes, impacts, and prevention of juvenile delinquency. The results indicated an 80% improvement in students’ knowledge of emergency handling strategies, a 75% increase in practical skills, and a 65% reduction in the potential involvement in delinquency, based on pre- and post-test evaluations. In conclusion, this PkM program effectively enhances students’ preparedness for emergency situations and provides a better understanding of juvenile delinquency prevention efforts. The program is expected to serve as a model for character development in higher education, fostering students who are prepared, responsive, and socially responsible.

Abstract

The problem faced by the residents of Kampung Ilmu Purwakarta is their dependence on relatively expensive commercial animal feed. This causes high livestock production costs and a lack of utilisation of organic waste as a resource of economic value. To overcome these problems, Community Service (PKM) activities are carried out to improve the financial welfare of residents through maggot cultivation as an alternative source of quality animal feed, while optimising the utilisation of organic waste into organic fertiliser. The partners in this activity are 4 families who have poultry businesses living around Kampung Ilmu Purwakarta. The implementation method consists of several stages, namely an initial survey to evaluate the socio-economic conditions and potential of residents' livestock, technical counselling on sustainable maggot cultivation, assistance in making media and cultivation tools, and offline and online monitoring after training. The results of the activity showed that maggots can be harvested within 2-3 weeks after maintenance and used directly as an alternative animal feed. By using maggots, residents managed to reduce commercial feed costs by around 40%. Post-activity monitoring proved that all partners were able to carry out the maggot cultivation cycle independently. This activity has a positive impact in the form of increasing the independence of residents in providing cheap and environmentally friendly animal feed, as well as a real contribution to the management of organic waste productively. These results indicate that maggot cultivation has great potential to be developed more widely as an economic and environmental solution at the local community level.

Abstract

The main issue faced by the residents of RW 17, Cimekar Village is the low level of environmental awareness and the suboptimal management of waste that could otherwise have economic value. This community service activity aims to enhance the community’s capacity to manage and market the outputs of the KAPPSA Waste Bank sustainably, thereby promoting behavioral change towards the environment while providing economic benefits. The method used was a participatory approach through training, mentoring, and joint evaluations involving residents, waste bank administrators, and local community leaders. The activities focused on educating the community about household waste management, sorting, collection, recordkeeping, and marketing strategies for recyclable and sellable waste. The results showed an increase in the community’s understanding of proper waste management and active participation in waste bank activities. Furthermore, the waste bank administrators began implementing basic recordkeeping and marketing systems that helped increase income from waste sales. The conclusion of this activity is that participatory waste bank management and marketing can improve environmental awareness while adding economic value for the community, thus supporting the realization of a clean and sustainable environment.

Abstract

Usaha Dawet Siwalan Bu Sumi di Desa Hendrosari, Gresik, menghadapi permasalahan utama pada tahap perajangan buah siwalan yang masih dilakukan secara manual. Proses ini membutuhkan waktu lama, tenaga besar, dan menghasilkan rajangan yang tidak seragam sehingga kapasitas produksi terbatas dan tidak mampu memenuhi permintaan pasar. Tujuan optimalisasi ini adalah mengoptimalkan proses produksi dawet siwalan melalui penerapan inovasi teknologi mesin perajang siwalan yang efisien dan praktis. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi lapangan, perancangan serta pembuatan mesin, pelatihan penggunaan bagi mitra, uji coba produksi, dan evaluasi dengan indikator efisiensi waktu, kapasitas, serta kualitas hasil rajangan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa proses manual membutuhkan rata-rata 119,21 menit untuk mengolah 10 kg bahan, sedangkan dengan mesin hanya 30,28 menit. Penerapan mesin perajang meningkatkan efisiensi waktu hingga 74,6%, sekaligus memberikan hasil yang lebih stabil dan konsisten. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan teknologi tepat guna berupa mesin perajang siwalan terbukti meningkatkan produktivitas, efisiensi, dan kualitas produksi dawet siwalan. Inovasi ini juga memberikan dampak sosial-ekonomi positif bagi usaha Bu Sumi dan masyarakat Desa Hendrosari.
