Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the most effective change management strategies for enhancing the performance of educators in junior high schools throughout the Sintang District. Educational institutions, such as junior high schools, are confronted with the demands of a dynamic work environment, as well as technological and social changes. Interviews, documentation, and observations are employed in this qualitative descriptive research to gather data from school principals and instructors regarding the modifications implemented. The research findings indicate that educators' performance is enhanced by the implementation of a change management strategy that adheres to John P. Kotter's model, which involves three stages: terminating outdated policies, initiating change, and implementing new policies. Classroom management, learning methods, student assessment, and educational vision and mission are among the modifications. The successful implementation of new policies requires the active participation of all members of educational institutions, as well as effective communication and strong leadership. It is the conclusion of this investigation that effective change management strategies not only enhance the performance of educators but also equip schools to confront future educational obstacles.

Taxes are one of the sources of state revenue for financing state expenditure. When tax revenue decline, governments often face an urgent need to maintain social and economic stability. In Indonesia in 2020 the ratio of state revenue from taxes fell by 1.5% from the previous year. So if fluctuations in tax revenue and an increase in state spending lead to a high budget deficit, and the government needs to find others sources of financing, such as loans to cover the financing shortfall. The type of research used is quantitative. The method used in this study is the Error Correction Model (ECM). The data used is secondary data published by the Ministry of Finance with the type of time series data in the year of observation, namely 2001-2023 in the State of Indonesia. Testing was carried out with the help of the Eviews 10 software application. The results of this study shows that only the state revenue variable has a significant effect on tax revenue in the long term and short term, while the state expenditure variable does not have a significant effect on tax revenue in the long term and in the short term.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are essential to Indonesia’s economy, contributing over 60% to the national GDP and employing approximately 97% of the workforce. Despite their significance, many MSMEs struggle with effective financial management, particularly in terms of expense and cost reporting. Common challenges include a lack of accounting knowledge and limited access to technology, which impact the accuracy and efficiency of financial documentation. This study explores expense recording practices among MSMEs in the Pangkalan Mahsyur District, aiming to identify practical solutions to improve financial recording. Accurate expense documentation provides significant benefits for MSMEs, including better cost control, performance assessment, tax compliance, and the potential to attract investors or access financial loans. These advantages collectively contribute to the sustainable growth and resilience of MSMEs, allowing them to compete more effectively in the market. To overcome these record-keeping challenges, MSMEs can gain from ongoing education and training focused on basic accounting principles. This approach can be complemented by adopting accounting software or consulting services that cater specifically to their needs. By increasing financial literacy and leveraging relevant technologies, MSMEs can enhance their financial management practices, creating a foundation for improved operational efficiency, strategic planning, and future growth opportunities. Through these efforts, MSMEs can build a more robust financial infrastructure, ensuring they continue to thrive in Indonesia’s dynamic economy.

Abstract

Education is the process of imparting knowledge, character development, and producing a more harmonious social order and way of life, including through the development of students' intellectual capital, skills, and intellectual development. One of the innovations brought by the introduction of the 2013 curriculum is the integrative theme learning model. To provide meaningful educational experiences to students, integrative thematic learning connects various disciplines and materials through themes. The 2013 curriculum states that in order to place students as the center of the learning process, teachers must play an active role as facilitators and motivators of learning. This article aims to explain how the 2013 curriculum is applied to integrative thematic learning, and its impact on the teaching and learning process in elementary schools. The implementation of the curriculum in integrative thematic learning shows several challenges, such as difficulties in determining assessment or evaluation criteria for students, teachers' lack of understanding in compiling thematic integrative lesson plans, limited teaching aids, and the use of traditional learning methods that are less varied. The proposed solution is training and education for teachers, principals, and supervisors to acquire skills and knowledge in implementing the curriculum according to students' needs. By implementing a variety of learning methods, it is hoped that it can increase student motivation and independence in the learning process.
