Abstract

Offering history subjects to pupils can cultivate their critical, logical, and imaginative thinking skills. However, in actuality, students at SMA Negeri 14 Medan encounter challenges in their history learning endeavours. Researchers conducted a study to enhance student learning outcomes in Indonesian History by focussing on the topic of Early Challenges of Independence during classroom instruction. The research sample included of 36 students from classroom XI-10 at SMA Negeri 14 Medan. The data collection method employed was the administration of a written test in the form of multiple-choice questions, which participants responded using the Wordwall web platform. The data analysis methodology employed in this study involved the utilisation of percentage analysis, namely by comparing the original conditions with the outcomes obtained in each iteration. The research findings indicate that implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) instructional model with the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach in the Indonesian History curriculum, specifically focussing on the topic of Early Challenges of Independence, leads to enhanced student learning outcomes. The conclusion of this study confirms that the action hypothesis has been addressed. Specifically, the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) instructional model with the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach has resulted in improved student learning outcomes in the field of Indonesian History. The subject of XI- 10 is being taught in Class XI at SMA Negeri 14 Medan during the academic year 2024/2025.

Abstract

This research aims to measure how effective the problem-based learning model is in increasing the understanding of class XII-2 students at SMA Negeri 5 Medan regarding World War II. Using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method in two cycles, this research involved learning results tests and observations to collect data. The results of research using a problem-based learning model in class XII-2 students at SMA Negeri 5 Medan showed a significant increase in learning outcomes for World War II material. This is evidenced by the increase in the average student test score from 78 in the first cycle to 82 in the second cycle. Apart from that, observations also show an increase in student learning activities, such as group discussions and information seeking.

Abstract

Religious moderation is a way of looking at us in moderation, namely understanding and practicing religious teachings without being extreme, whether extreme right or extreme left. This writing aims to find out initial information regarding understanding and attitudes, where the method used is descriptive qualitative with direct community observation research techniques, then the data obtained will be analyzed, classified and interpreted to obtain results that will be classified based on the value of understanding and moderation attitudes. religious. The conclusion of this writing is that several factors are found that influence public awareness of the understanding and attitude of religious moderation, namely: Insufficient education, unbalanced influence of media and information, lack of role of religious figures, local culture and traditions. Then there are several strategies to overcome the lack of understanding of religious moderation in society, namely: education, inter-religious dialogue, social media, social activities, joint religious activities, and arts and cultural activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pengaruh pembelajaran diferensiasi terhadap keterampilan kolaboratif dan kreativitas siswa kelas 6 di SD Bukit Aksara. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh kebutuhan untuk memahami bagaimana pendekatan pembelajaran yang beragam dapat meningkatkan interaksi sosial dan pemahaman konsep sains siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif tipe studi kasus dengan fokus utama pada observasi langsung dan pengamatan partisipatif. Observasi dilakukan selama sesi pembelajaran diferensiasi untuk menganalisis interaksi antar siswa, respons terhadap materi, serta strategi yang digunakan guru dalam memfasilitasi pembelajaran. Peneliti terlibat aktif dalam lingkungan pembelajaran untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang dinamika kelas. Catatan lapangan dan jurnal refleksi digunakan sebagai alat untuk merekam dan menginterpretasikan data. Hasil penelitian mengungkap adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan kolaboratif dan kemampuan berbagi ide di antara siswa. Selain itu, observasi juga menunjukkan peningkatan kreativitas siswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas kelompok. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran diferensiasi memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan kolaboratif dan kreativitas siswa kelas 6 di SD Bukit Aksara pada pelajaran IPAS. Temuan ini mengindikasikan pentingnya integrasi strategi diferensiasi dalam kurikulum pendidikan dasar untuk mendukung perkembangan holistik siswa.

Abstract

Religious moderation plays an important role in everyday life, helping individuals to avoid radical and extreme attitudes in the face of diversity and difference. The lack of understanding about religious moderation, especially in MTsS Nur Bahri, Bubun Village, Tanjung Pura District, Langkat Regency, is the reason the author raises this issue. This article aims to provide an overview of the implementation of religious moderation and how it can shape tolerant, patriot, socially concerned, and just characters. The author uses a qualitative research approach with a case study method, involving observation and discussion. Data were collected through seminars that were part of the real work lecture (KKN) activities. The findings showed that religious moderation at MTsS Nur Bahri in Bubun Village received a positive response and supported its implementation. One of the pillars of religious moderation that has been implemented is the attitude of tolerance towards differences, both in terms of religion, ethnicity, and opinion. This shows that the implementation of religious moderation in the school has succeeded in forming a tolerant attitude among teachers and students.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate students' anxiety in Speaking English at Second Semester Students of English Deparment in Nommensen HKBP University Medan. The objectives of this research are (1) to identify the factors or situations that make the students’ feel anxious when they are speak English and (2) to find out and describe the strategies to minimize anxiety for the student.The researcher used descriptive qualitative method, with phenomenology approach. The participants in this research were 25 students in 1 class. The instrument of the collecting data interview and questionnaire. Both of them were conducted online. The researcher gave several questions and questionnaires to be answered by students via Google Forms, and from the students' answers, the researcher saw that the students felt uncomfortable when speaking English, so that from this discomfort, a feeling of anxiety arose when they spoke English. The result of the research showed in two factors, they are internal factors (shyness, lack of self -confident, and fear of making mistakes, and the external factors (lack of preparation, limited vocabulary, and friends/classmates). And there were five strategies to minimize anxiety when speaking english showed in this research (preparation, relaxation, positive thinking, concentration and peer seeking).

Abstract

Self-regulation is an individual's ability to manage thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors to meet the standards and goals they aim for as evidence of self-improvement. This ability is particularly essential for Qur'an memorization students (santri tahfidz), who not only study general subjects but also have to memorize the Qur'an. The objective of this study is to examine the influence of self-regulation on academic stress among Qur'an memorization students at Madrasah Aliyah Ulumul Qur’an Pagar Air. The research method used is quantitative. The subjects in this study consist of 146 students from Madrasah Aliyah Ulumul Qur’an Pagar Air, with the sample selected using a probability sampling technique, specifically simple random sampling. Data collection was conducted using the Likert scale method by distributing questionnaires to the research subjects. Data analysis was carried out using a simple linear regression test. The results showed that there is an influence of self-regulation on academic stress among Qur'an memorization students at Madrasah Aliyah Ulumul Qur’an Pagar Air, with an R Square value of 0.276, an F value of 55.028, and a significance value of 0.000. The influence of self-regulation on academic stress among these students is 27.6%. The aspect of self-regulation that has the highest impact on academic stress in this study is self-reflection.

Abstract

This research aims to discover the parataxis and hypotaxis in recount text writing of second-grade students at SMA Negeri 17 Medan. This research uses qualitative research with an interactive model. In collecting data, this research employs observation and document analysis. Then, an interactive model for analyzing data has three steps: data condensation, data display, and conclusion/drawing verification. The research results show that the data findings on 15 students' recount text writings were found to use Parataxis can be seen by the appearance of 16 clauses, namely: 11 clauses “and”, 2 clauses “then”, 2 clauses “while”, 1 clause “but”, and 1 clause “before”. Hypotaxis found 21 clauses, namely: 12 clauses “after”, 3 clauses “because”, 5 clauses “when”, and 1 clause “which”. The study is essential for understanding how students construct sentences and organize their thoughts in recounting text. Parataxis involves the juxtaposition of clauses or sentences without subordinating them, while hypotaxis uses subordination to show the relationship between clauses.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Impoliteness Strategies of the Hate Comments on Twitter. This study was compiled using a qualitative descriptive research method. Data from hate comments made by netizens in response to the post of the son of the Indonesian president in the comments column of the official Twitter account belonging to Gibran Rakabuming Raka and data Sources from the official Twitter account of the vice presidential candidate. The number of data in this study is 50 data. The Instrument of Collecting Data uses Observation and Documentation and the method of collecting data uses searching, reading, choosing, capturing, and printing. The data was analyzed using the Formula P=F/N x100. From the research that has been done, it was found that there is a difference in the percentage between the five types of impoliteness strategies. In the bald on record, type 4 hate comment data were found with a percentage of 8%, positive impoliteness is 6 hate comment data with a percentage of 12%, negative impoliteness is 6 hate comment data with a percentage of 12%, sarcasm or mock impoliteness is 34 hate comment data with a percentage of 68%, and withhold impoliteness is 0 hate comment data with a percentage of 0%. So, it can be concluded that the most dominant type the impoliteness strategies in the results is sarcasm or mock impoliteness with a percentage of 68% in the thesis title Impoliteness Strategies of the Hate Comments on Twitter.

Abstract

Globalisasi mempunyai pengaruh atau dampak yang sangat besar bagi kehidupan umat manusia dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, baik sosial, politik, ekonomi, budaya, dan lain-lain termasuk pendidikan. Dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan, globalisasi berdampak pada tujuan, proses, hubungan guru-murid, etika, metode ataupun yang lainnya. maka dalam hal ini lembaga pendidikan harus mempersiapkan sistem pendidikan memiliki sikap mental dan komitmen dengan berbagai strategi untuk merealisasikan kualitas dirinya. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap artikel ini bahwa dalam dinamika pendidikan islam dalam perspektif sosial masyarakat memposisikan pendidikan Islam pada aspek keberadaan manusia tidak dapat dipisahkan dari pendidikan itu sendiri, proses untuk menyelesaikan masalah dan mewariskan kepada generasi selanjutnya merupakan esensi dari pendidikan itu sendiri. Maka di sinilah peran pendidikan dalam membangun interaksi antar anggotanya dalam berbagai pendekatan baik dalam bentuk ekonomi, politik, dan budaya. Selanjutnya bahwa dengan tuntutan globalisasi tersebut ajaran Islam menyikapinya agar generasi Islam tidak meninggalkan ajaran Islam itu sendiri. Ajaran Islam tidak hanya mengatur persoalan ritual ubudiyah, tetapi juga memberikan pedoman bagi manusia dalam menata kehidupan dunianya. Dasar ini memberikan kesadaran terhadap manusia bahwa dalam menjalani kehidupan di dasari pada aspek pengabdian dan kebudayaannya. Oleh karena itu, ajaran Islam yang bersumber dari wahyu Ilahi dan penafsiran serta pengaplikasian oleh Rasulullah saw. melahirkan transformasi nilai bagi manusia, masyarakat dan dunia pada umumnya. Terintegrasinya nilai-nilai Islam dalam kehidupan manusia yang diterima secara sadar pada dasarnya tidak terlepas dari sistem pendidikan dalam Islam dengan pondasi nilai-nilai humanistik. Selanjutnya bahwa pada abad 21 ini pendidikan Islam ikut berkiprah dan berkontribusi untuk menjadikan generasi Islam sebagai generasi yang siap untuk berkembang. Konsep system pendidikan Islam dalam hal ini sangat penting agar dikonstruk dengan kompleks oleh para ulama dan intelektual Islam dalam menguraikan Alquran dan hadis. Dari sinilah para intelektual Islam mengkonstruk teori-teori dalam pendidikan Islam telah dikembangkan mempunyai relevansi dengan kehidupan nyata.
