Abstract

One technology that is developing rapidly now is Augmented Reality (AR) technology. AR is a technology that combines/combines the virtual world with the real world by projecting virtual objects in real-time reality. This means that AR is a technology that can display information from the virtual world into the real world via smartphones, webcams, cameras, computers, or special glasses. Referring to the description above, AR can be integrated into learning activities, especially in making teaching materials or books for students. With current developments in technology, it is necessary to digitize teaching materials or books by integrating AR technology. Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) is a state university in the city of Malang whose output is to produce/produce professional prospective educators (teachers). One of the facilities provided by the UM campus is student dormitories. The dormitory residents at Campus 2 of the UM tend to be students studying primary school teacher education (PGSD). As a prospective teacher, especially a prospective elementary school teacher, of course you need to develop your soft skills that can support your profession as a prospective teacher. As a prospective teacher, of course, you are expected to be able to always be adaptive to developments over time and increasingly sophisticated technology. Therefore, as campus residents within the UM student dormitory, it is necessary to provide assistance to improve soft skills that have not been accommodated/facilitated in lectures. One of the soft skills needed to become a teacher who is adaptive to technological developments is assisting in making books or teaching materials that integrate AR-4D.

The source and the service team concluded that the problems in the primary school include (1) the teacher's lack of understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum Implementation Assessment, because it is considered only for IPA subjects, (2) the unavailability of supporting book references in the classroom or library related to the assessment of Merdeka Curriculum Implementation, (3) the learning has not been touched by literacy and technology innovations, and (4) Learning in Education The Merdeka Curriculum is still alien to teachers. The solution to this problem is to carry out Focus GroupDiscussion (FGD) activities and training learning activities through the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum Implementation assessment. Increasing the number of libraries is related to independent curriculum in learning, Independent curriculum learning training, Guidance of evaluation products of training results by teachers. External targets in this activity are to increase teachers' understanding of the concept of independent curriculum implementation assessment, document time schedule based student'activitys, (portfolio), reference book on Independent Curriculum Implementation Assessment for teachers (10 e-books from various sources), publication of activities in 1 mass media and 1 video of activity uploaded on youtube channel, 1 Draft evaluation result assessment of implementation of merdeka curriculum scientific articles in the form of an accredited journal (1 accredited journal article), 1 HKI.

Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities are those who experience challenges in intelligence, which impact academic areas such as initial reading. There are several obstacles faced by students, such as difficulty recognizing letters, spelling, and understanding reading material. Therefore, this community service project aims to address the problem of reading ability delay in second-grade students at SDN 35 Cakranegara, which is a serious challenge in basic education. Thus, in the learning process, implementing the appropriate VAKT (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Tactile) method can help reduce the barriers experienced by intellectually disabled children, while also involving parents in the learning process at home. The positive results that have been achieved and the potential to significantly improve students' reading abilities. Various outcomes, such as increased interest in reading, development of literacy skills, and ongoing evaluation, indicate that a multisensory approach can be an effective solution in addressing educational challenges in schools. Abstract

Banjarejo Village, Ngantang District, Malang Regency, is a village rich in cultural and creative potential. One of the community service programs conducted by Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi (UNITRI) is the introduction of batik collage to students at SDN Banjarejo 03. This activity aims to enhance students' creativity in art while instilling awareness of local cultural heritage. The program employs a hands-on learning approach, where students learn about traditional batik patterns and basic collage techniques to create their own artistic works. The results of this activity show that students are not only able to produce creative batik collage artworks but also develop a deeper understanding of the cultural value of batik and the importance of preserving it. Thus, this program is expected to be an effective way to foster creativity among elementary school children while strengthening their local cultural identity.

Abstract

This activity is a community service carried out in Rutan Kelas IIB Kab. Majene. The main purpose of this activity is to build awareness and improve the literacy skills of the detainees of Rutan Kelas IIB Kab. Majene. This activity not only focuses on improving the reading and writing skills of detainees, but also educates the importance of having good reading and writing skills. This program is implemented by implementing game-based learning. Learning is also carried out with technological media using the wordwall application. This program reflects that improving reading and writing literacy is the right of all levels of society, including those who are still undergoing detention in Rutan Kelas IIB Kab. Majene.

Abstract

Thesis is one of the scientific papers that must be written by final year students, but many of them have difficulty in determining thesis topics that are innovative and relevant to current conditions. This community service activity aims to provide assistance through a workshop on strategies to explore innovative ideas in order to produce quality theses for PGSD FKIP University of Mataram students. The stages in this workshop activity are starting from the coordination stage, promotion stage, implementation stage and evaluation and reporting stage. The methods of implementing the workshop activities include interactive lectures, discussions, and idea development exercises based on case studies and the context of elementary education. This workshop activity was carried out at campus 2 FKIP University of Mataram on August 24, 2024. The results of the activity showed that participants gained a good understanding of how to find innovative, original and contextual thesis topics. In addition, this workshop can also increase students' self-confidence and readiness in facing the thesis writing process. Based on the results of the participants' responses to the workshop activities carried out, on average students gave positive responses. This activity is expected to become a sustainable program that supports improving the quality of theses and completing studies on time for PGSD students.

Abstract

Democratic policy formulation needs data resources from first hand party. Children are the primary beneficiary of educational enterprises. Therefore, they need to be heard and involved in decision making processes. Current activity is an effort to explore and accommodate children’s voices in terms of their right fulfilment. Current activity was conducted in 2 days by inviting children’s representatives from each sub-district in Lombok Tengah. The activity was arranged by BAPPERIDA Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Methods of activity are lecturing and presentation, focus group discussion, and pleno. Current activity produces 18 points of children’s voices which pertain to expectation for quality improvement of resources to support children’s rights and communication strengthening between children and parents, society, and government as policy maker. Conclusion can be drawn from this activity is children need for time and space for expressing their aspirations with ethics ways yet targeted at the problems they perceive.

Abstract

The AYO MURUP (Let's Change Waste into Rupiah) program is a training activity for processing used cooking oil waste into candles, aimed at parents of students of TK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. This activity aims to increase environmental awareness and provide practical skills that have economic value for the community. Used cooking oil, which has been considered household waste, can actually be reused into useful products, such as aromatherapy candles and multipurpose candles. The training was carried out through a participatory approach, where participants were actively involved in the candle-making process, from collecting materials, processing, to product packaging. The results of this training showed an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in managing used cooking oil waste. This program is expected to have a broad impact on environmental education and community empowerment activities.

Abstract

The Teaching Assistance Program at UPT SD Negeri 068003 Perumnas Simalingkar aims to develop the pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies of prospective primary school teachers through direct involvement in instructional and school administrative activities. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, using observation, interviews, and documentation over a 13-week period. The results indicate that students successfully designed and implemented 21st-century learning innovations, integrated educational technology, and engaged in non-academic activities such as library management, school discipline monitoring, and extracurricular programs. The program also fostered the development of students’ soft skills and cognitive abilities, despite some challenges in advanced technology use and classroom management. This program has shown a positive impact on improving educational quality at the partner school and provided valuable experiential learning for student-teachers in preparing for professional teaching careers.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the ability of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students in developing mathematics learning media, especially in geometry material, through the use of GeoGebra software. GeoGebra is an interactive software that is very suitable for visualizing geometric concepts dynamically and attractively. In the context of the Independent Curriculum, mastery of educational technology is one of the important competencies that prospective teachers must have, in order to support differentiated, contextual, and student-centered learning. The methods used in this activity include training, direct practice, and mentoring in designing GeoGebra-based learning media. The results of the activity show that students have high enthusiasm in participating in the training, and show an increase in understanding and skills in developing interactive geometry learning media. The media produced also reflects learning principles that are in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school students and support the achievement of the Pancasila student profile. This activity makes a real contribution in preparing prospective teachers who are technology literate and able to design innovative mathematics learning, in line with the demands of the Independent Curriculum.
