Abstract

This research is motivated by the idea that the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)-based learning can be a solution for teachers to instill awareness of the importance of preserving the environment. The purpose of this study was to produce test questions based on ESD literacy and numeracy based on the environmental theme of our friends, the sub-theme of humans and the environment. The research method used is Design Based Research (DBR) with the Reeves Model stages. The design of the test questions of 30 multiple choice questions was validated by 2 teachers. The validation results were then used as a guideline for revising which was then continued with trials on fifth grade students at SDN 1 Kuta. The results of the data analysis showed that based on the different test with Ms Excel, there were 2 questions that were rejected, 11 questions that were accepted and 17 questions that needed to be revised. Based on the results of the analysis of the level of difficulty, there are 3 questions in the easy category, 6 questions in the difficult category and 21 questions in the medium category. Based on the results of the validity analysis of the 30 questions tested, 15 questions were declared valid and 15 questions were declared invalid. Furthermore, valid questions were used as evaluation questions for fifth grade students at SDN 2 Kuta.

Abstract

Numeracy is an important component in mathematics learning today, especially in the Independent Curriculum. Numeracy abilities include a person's knowledge and skills in using basic mathematical concepts in order to solve appropriate contextual problems. Based on the investigation, it is known that SDN 2 Darek still has a red report card (not yet achieved) in the numeracy domain. The teachers at SDN 2 Darek are still in the learning process in implementing differentiated learning, especially in mathematics learning. Teachers have not been able to develop a numeracy evaluation instrument that can provide an initial picture of student abilities and student learning needs. Based on the analysis of situations and problems, the aim of this service is to provide understanding and improve teachers' skills in compiling appropriate numeracy test instruments to detect students' initial difficulties and abilities by holding a hierarchical content-based assessment development workshop in the independent curriculum for elementary school students. The workshop material provided to SDN 2 Darek teachers includes the following things, namely: 1) assessment concepts in the independent curriculum, 2) numeracy assessments and their follow-up, 3) preparation of numeracy assessments based on hierarchical content. The stages in this workshop activity are starting from the preliminary study (coordination stage), preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation and reporting stage. This workshop activity was carried out at SDN 2 Darek Central Lombok on August 21 2024. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, there was an increase in the understanding of the workshop participant teachers regarding the concept of assessment in the Merdeka curriculum and based on the results of the participants' responses to the workshop activities carried out, the average teacher gave positive responses.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive teaching module for class IV IPAS content at SDN 1 Kuta, Central Lombok. The number of students is 28 sample. The R&D in this research uses the ADDIE model. Data collection used in this research include questionnaires and tests consisting of pretest and posttest. The data analysis in this research uses a Likert scale of 1 to 4. The results of the material expert validity test show an average score of 3.70 categories of very valid. The results of the media expert validity show an average score of 3.29 categories of valid. The teacher response show an average score of 3.75 categories of very practical. The paired t-test shows a difference between the pretest and the post-test score, and because the t-value found is negative, the post-test score is better than the pretest score. The effect size test is in the small category which indicates that even though there are changes, their impact on learning outcomes is limited. The interactive teaching module with differentiated IPAS content that was developed was proven to be suitable for use.

Abstract

Abstrak Karya tulis ilmiah merupakan salah satu karya yang wajid di penuhi mahasiswa guna menyelesaikan pendidikan jenjang sarjana. Karya tulis ilmiah tersebut dapat berupa skripsi dan juga artikel ilmiah yang disusun berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari skripsinya. Akhir-akhir ini kecenderungan mahasiswa untuk memilih menyusun artikel sebagai pengganti sidang atau ujian skripsi semakin tinggi. Mahasiswa merasa lebih memilih menyusun artikel ilmiah daripada sidang skripsi. Sayangnya tingginya kecenderungan mahasiswa tersebut belum diimbangi dengan kemampuan mereka dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah yang baik dan layak untuk dipublikasikan. Dimana artikel ilmiah yang dihasilkan tersebut pertama minim referensi karena mengandalkan copy paste dari skripsi, tanpa diperpadat dan perkaya lagi dengan referensi yang sesuai dengan topik yang diangkat pada artikel ilmiah, kedua similiarity dari artikel yang dihasilkan sangat tinggi rata-rata di atas 50 %, disini terlihat bahwa mahasiswa sangat kesulitan dalam menyajikan ide atau dan memparafarse kalimat yang dirujuk dalam artikel, ketiga mahasiswa kesulitan mencari dan mencantumkan sumber primer dalam tulisan mereka, yang terjadi dalam satu naskah artikel banyak dicantumkan sumber rujukan sekunder yaitu kutipan pendapat si A dalam si B, dan seterusnya. Tiga point utama ini menyebabkan kualitas artikel ilmiah yang dihasilkan mahasiswa tingkat akhir masih sangat rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini tentu bertujuan  untuk  membantu dan memudahkan serta memberikan pemahaman kepada mahasiswa bagaimana menulis karya ilmiah yang berkualitas  dengan memperhatikan teknik sitasi paraphrase yang baik Tahapan dalam kegiatan workshop ini yaitu mulai tahap koordinasi, tahap promosi, tahap pelaksanaan serta tahap evaluasi dan pelaporan. Kegiatan workshop ini dilakukan di kampus 2 FKIP Universitas Mataram pada tanggal 24 Agustus 2024. Berdasarkan hasil pretes dan postes terdapat peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa peserta Teknik Sitasi dan Parafrase Guna Menghasilkan Karya Ilmiah Yang Berkualitas serta berdasarkan hasil respon peserta terhadap kegiatan  workshop yang dilakukan rata-rata mahassiwa memberikan respon yang positif.   Kata kunci: sitasi; parafrase; karya tulis ilmiah Abstract Scientific writing is one of the works that students must complete in order to complete undergraduate level education. The scientific writing can be in the form of a thesis and also a scientific article that is compiled based on the research results of their thesis. Lately, the tendency of students to choose to write articles as a substitute for thesis defense or exams has increased. Students feel they prefer to write scientific articles rather than thesis defense. Unfortunately, the high tendency of students has not been balanced by their ability to write good scientific articles that are worthy of publication. Where the scientific articles produced firstly have minimal references because they rely on copy paste from the thesis, without being further condensed and enriched with references appropriate to the topic raised in the scientific article, secondly the similarity of the articles produced is very high, on average above 50%, here It can be seen that students have great difficulty in presenting ideas or paraphrasing sentences referred to in the article, the three students have difficulty finding and including primary sources in their writing, what happens in one article manuscript is that many secondary reference sources are included, namely quotations of A's opinion in B, and so on. These three main points cause the quality of scientific articles produced by final year students to be very low. This community service activity certainly aims to help and facilitate and provide students with an understanding of how to write quality scientific papers by paying attention to good paraphrase citation techniques. The stages in this workshop activity are starting from the coordination stage, promotion stage, implementation stage and evaluation and reporting stage. This workshop activity was carried out at campus 2 FKIP, Mataram University on August 24, 2024. Abstract

Education plays an important role in shaping the character and competence of students so that they are able to face real life challenges. In the context of basic education, the learning strategy used by teachers greatly determines the success of the teaching and learning process. One approach that is considered effective in increasing student engagement and understanding is the contextual learning strategy or Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Therefore, this study aims to analyze the application of contextual learning strategies in Class IV of SDN 46 Cakranegara. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative which aims to describe the application of contextual learning strategies in class IV of SDN 46 Cakranegara. The subjects of the study were homeroom teachers and class IV students of SDN 46 Cakranegara. In this study, data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation of learning activities in class IV of SDN 46 Cakranegara. The results of the study showed that class IV teachers of SDN 46 Cakranegara had a good understanding of contextual learning strategies (CTL). This understanding is not only limited to theoretical aspects, but also to the practical implementation of CTL as an approach that emphasizes the relationship between subject matter and students' real experiences. Teachers realize the importance of their role as facilitators in creating an active, meaningful, and contextual learning process, in line with the principles of constructivism. This understanding is reflected in the teacher's awareness in designing learning activities that involve students emotionally and cognitively through linking materials to local culture and the use of relevant media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Learning Cycle learning model in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in class IVB SDN 6 Mataram on the material of plant parts. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were all grade IVB students and grade IV teachers of SDN 6 Mataram. The results showed that the learning cycle model applied by the fourth grade teacher is the 5E leaning cycle model which consists of five stages namely engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, and evaluation. The application of this learning cycle model is able to increase students' involvement and motivation in the learning process. Students become more active, interested, and dare to try because they are directly involved in exploration and observation activities, so that understanding of the material becomes more meaningful and contextual. This model also encourages the development of critical thinking skills, scientific attitudes, and students' ability to build knowledge independently. However, the application of learning cycle faces several challenges, such as differences in students' learning styles, the ease of students' attention being distracted when learning outside the classroom, and environmental constraints such as unfavorable weather. Nonetheless, in general, the learning cycle model is effective in improving the quality of IPAS learning in class IVB SDN 6 Mataram, by providing an effective learning cycle for students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the simulation method in project-based learning (PjBL) in the sixth grade of SDN 40 Mataram. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of classroom activities. The results indicate that the simulation method enhances student engagement, strengthens conceptual understanding, and fosters collaboration in project work. The teacher plays a vital role as a facilitator in designing simulation scenarios that align with the project themes. Challenges encountered include limited time and supporting facilities; however, these can be addressed through careful planning and optimal use of available resources. The study concludes that the simulation method is effective in supporting the success of project-based learning at the elementary level, particularly in improving 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Abstract

Thesis is one of the scientific papers that must be written by final year students, but many of them have difficulty in determining thesis topics that are innovative and relevant to current conditions. This community service activity aims to provide assistance through a workshop on strategies to explore innovative ideas in order to produce quality theses for PGSD FKIP University of Mataram students. The stages in this workshop activity are starting from the coordination stage, promotion stage, implementation stage and evaluation and reporting stage. The methods of implementing the workshop activities include interactive lectures, discussions, and idea development exercises based on case studies and the context of elementary education. This workshop activity was carried out at campus 2 FKIP University of Mataram on August 24, 2024. The results of the activity showed that participants gained a good understanding of how to find innovative, original and contextual thesis topics. In addition, this workshop can also increase students' self-confidence and readiness in facing the thesis writing process. Based on the results of the participants' responses to the workshop activities carried out, on average students gave positive responses. This activity is expected to become a sustainable program that supports improving the quality of theses and completing studies on time for PGSD students.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis tema Miniatur Sasambo terhadap minat belajar dan pemahaman konsep matematis mahasiswa calon guru Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes. Proses pembelajaran mencakup perencanaan proyek, pengukuran, pembuatan miniatur, serta refleksi dan presentasi hasil.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PjBL dengan tema Miniatur Sasambo meningkatkan minat belajar mahasiswa, yang terlihat dari antusiasme dan keterlibatan aktif selama pembelajaran. Selain itu, pemahaman matematis mahasiswa juga meningkat, dibuktikan dengan perbedaan skor pre-test dan post-test, dari rata-rata 68 menjadi 83. Proyek ini memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk menerapkan konsep matematika seperti pengukuran, geometri, skala, dan simetri dalam konteks nyata.Secara keseluruhan, pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan tema Miniatur Sasambo memberikan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif, kontekstual, dan bermakna, sehingga efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman konsep matematis mahasiswa. Abstract. This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of the Project-Based Learning Model (PJBL) based on the theme of Miniature Sasambo on the interest of learning and understanding the mathematical concepts of elementary school students. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews, documentation, and tests. The learning process includes project planning, measurement, miniature, and reflection and results of results. The research results show that the application of PJBL with the theme of Miniature Sasambo increases student interest in learning, which is seen from the enthusiasm and active involvement during learning. In addition, students' mathematical understanding also increased, as evidenced by differences in pre-test and post-test scores, from an average of 68 to 83. This project allows students to apply mathematical concepts such as measurement, geometry, scale, and symmetry in a real context. Overall, project -based learning with the theme of Miniature Sasambo provides an interactive, contextual, and meaningful learning experience, so that it is effective in increasing motivation and understanding of students' mathematical concepts.
