Abstract

The socialization of educational foundations within the Merdeka Curriculum in primary schools is crucial for enhancing teachers' understanding as implementers of the new curriculum. This community service aims to introduce the educational foundations that underpin the Merdeka Curriculum to teachers at MI Muhammadiyah 16 Karangasem. The methods employed include lectures, visual presentations, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and case studies. The results indicate an improvement in teachers' understanding, enthusiasm, and active participation in comprehending the philosophical, juridical, sociological, psychological, and technological foundations of the Merdeka Curriculum. Overall, this activity successfully enhances teachers' understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum's foundations. However, further accompanying programs and ongoing monitoring are necessary to ensure optimal implementation in the field.

Abstract

IKU is a performance measurement system used to evaluate the performance of higher education institutions in Indonesia. Nine forms of learning activities (BKP) are the primary support for achieving the PT's IKU 2. FKIP is one of the faculties at Mataram University, which has a strategic role in filling IKU 2. To fulfill this expectation, outreach activities and workshops must be carried out. Through outreach activities and workshops by presenting representatives of lecturers and students from all study programs, FKIP hopes that PT IKU's achievements can increase by the targets set by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, Technology, and Higher Education. The results of the socialization and workshop activities showed that (1) there was an increase in participants' (lecturers and students') understanding of the importance of MBKM Mandiri, and (2) students formulated various BKP options as a manifestation of their participation in MBKM. Based on these results, the recommendation is that constructive support from each study program is needed to guide and train students to choose the right BKP according to their needs and potential.

Abstract

Learning process standards for mathematics subjects including media selection, method selection, compiling learning modules, adjusting the context of the content of mathematics subject matter into student activities, and so on become the core of the problem in terms of process quality. These problems became the focus of the Community Service (PkM) team to offer solutions to Tashfiyah Tutoring to conduct training, guidance, and mentoring on the theory and practice of ethnomathematics research. This ethnomathematics research training activity for teachers and novice researchers was carried out at the Tashfiyah Tutoring Hall which is located at Jl. Swadaya II No.59, RT.1 / RW.5, Tj. Bar, Jagakarsa Sub-district, South Jakarta City, Special Capital Region of Jakarta 12530, Indonesia, attended by 15 participants. The series of activities in this training are: (1) Preparation stage; (2) Exposure stage regarding activity description; (3) Material delivery stage regarding ethnomathematics research; and (4) Discussion stage. The ethnomathematics research training for teachers and novice researchers that has been carried out is very useful for all participants, so as to increase the competence of the participants in terms of conducting ethnomathematics research and have a positive impact on all participants in activities that specifically understand ethnomathematics research.

Abstract

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) training at SDN 1 Perampuan, West Lombok, aims to improve the creativity, innovation and critical thinking skills of grade 4 students. Through an interactive and practical approach, this training involves students in experiments simple and collaborative projects, allowing them to integrate various disciplines. This activity will be carried out in September 2024 using observation, experimentation, collaborative projects and feedback-based evaluation methods. Initial observations are carried out to identify learning needs and challenges, followed by preparation of materials and tools. The training involved an introduction to basic STEAM concepts, simple experiments such as building a mini volcano, technology development through basic coding, and the integration of art and mathematics in bridge design. Each session features a collaborative project, where students work in groups to apply the knowledge they have gained. Evaluation is carried out through project presentations and providing feedback to improve and enhance student skills. The results of the training showed high student enthusiasm, as well as increased understanding of basic STEAM concepts. Final project evaluations provide constructive feedback, encouraging students to continue learning and applying STEAM concepts in everyday life. With the support of the STEAM guidebook, this training is expected to have a long-term impact on educational development in the West Lombok area, preparing students to face future challenges with the necessary 21st century skills.

Abstract

Professional competence is one of the competencies that teachers must have. Increasing teacher professionalism can be reach through lesson study activities. In this activity, the teacher designs the lesson design together with the lesson study team. The change to the Merdeka curriculum is also a challenge for teachers, because it is still new so teachers need to collaborate with others to prepare innovative learning. The aim of community service is to provide assistance to teachers at Baitul Makmur Islamic Middle School Malang in preparing lesson designs so that they can support the implementation of the merdeka curriculum in schools. The method is carrying out FGDs, plan, do, see, and redesign learning as a form of improving further learning. Open class activities were held four times. The results of lesson study assistance activities provide benefits for increasing the professionalism of partner teachers and are expected to be in line with improving the quality of learning in the classroom so that the implementation of the merdeka curriculum can be carried out well.

Abstract

Merdeka 2 exchange students of State University of Malang carried out social contribution activities as one of a series of agendas in the Nusantara Module. The activity was carried out in Kalisongo village, Malang Regency, East Java. This activity involves youth to participate in socialization and content creation training in order to promote and introduce traditions in the local village. Through this activity, it is expected to provide new experiences and insights to students and youth where the social contribution is carried out.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to introduce and introduce the web-based Practical Work Lecture (KKP) management information system at the State Islamic University (UIN) Mataram through the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method. The activity, which was carried out on September 5, 2024, involved UIN Mataram lecturers who were directly involved in KKP management. In this activity, participants were given an explanation of the benefits and purposes of using a web-based information system, and were involved in a direct simulation to operate the system. The evaluation results showed a positive response from participants to the development of the system, with most feeling satisfied and ready to implement this system in KKP management. Through this activity, it is hoped that the KKP management information system can simplify and accelerate the KKP administration process at UIN Mataram, as well as support digital transformation in the academic environment.

Abstract

Numeracy is an important component in mathematics learning today, especially in the Independent Curriculum. Numeracy abilities include a person's knowledge and skills in using basic mathematical concepts in order to solve appropriate contextual problems. Based on the investigation, it is known that SDN 2 Darek still has a red report card (not yet achieved) in the numeracy domain. The teachers at SDN 2 Darek are still in the learning process in implementing differentiated learning, especially in mathematics learning. Teachers have not been able to develop a numeracy evaluation instrument that can provide an initial picture of student abilities and student learning needs. Based on the analysis of situations and problems, the aim of this service is to provide understanding and improve teachers' skills in compiling appropriate numeracy test instruments to detect students' initial difficulties and abilities by holding a hierarchical content-based assessment development workshop in the independent curriculum for elementary school students. The workshop material provided to SDN 2 Darek teachers includes the following things, namely: 1) assessment concepts in the independent curriculum, 2) numeracy assessments and their follow-up, 3) preparation of numeracy assessments based on hierarchical content. The stages in this workshop activity are starting from the preliminary study (coordination stage), preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation and reporting stage. This workshop activity was carried out at SDN 2 Darek Central Lombok on August 21 2024. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, there was an increase in the understanding of the workshop participant teachers regarding the concept of assessment in the Merdeka curriculum and based on the results of the participants' responses to the workshop activities carried out, the average teacher gave positive responses.

learning media available. Digital skills can foster numerous new innovations, leading to the creation of various engaging types of educational media. Learning media serve as tools to facilitate the delivery of educational content. The development of educational media should not be separated from the contribution of local wisdom in a given area. Therefore, there is a need for awareness to reintroduce local wisdom as a digital-themed educational medium by enhancing digital skills to achieve this goal. Teachers at SD Negeri 1 Kuta are facing difficulties in developing digital skills, particularly in creating learning media based on local wisdom. These challenges are due to the limited dissemination and training related to the creation of local wisdom-based learning media and the development of digital skills. Therefore, training in the creation of local wisdom-based learning media using iSpring Suite 10 is necessary to develop the digital skills of elementary school teachers at SDN 1 Kuta, Central Lombok.

Abstract

Literacy is a person's ability and skill in processing and understanding information from writing and reading activities. Reading plays an important role in the learning process as a means to absorb knowledge or understand a text. Reading as a cognitive process that seeks to find information in the text. The reading interest and reading ability of students is currently worrying, due to less interesting learning methods and public perceptions that prioritize basic needs such as food and clothing. Beririjarak Village, in East Lombok Regency, faces similar challenges, where early childhood is often involved in agricultural work and limited access to early literacy such as reading and writing before entering school. The objectives of establishing a reading corner include: increasing literacy, especially students' interest in reading. The implementation methods used are observation, interviews and collaboration with the village, as well as conducting socialization to the community and early childhood. The results of the program implementation show an increase in literacy, especially the interest in reading and participation of early childhood in literacy activities. The Reading Corner Program is a significant step in increasing early childhood literacy and providing them with access to learn to read, write, and count outside the school context. Through a comprehensive approach, including socialization and direct practice with early childhood, the Reading Corner program has succeeded in increasing their participation in literacy activities
