Abstract

Nutrition in early childhood is not only crucial for physical growth. Nutrition also influences cognitive development, socio-emotional development, and motor development. If a child does not have a balanced nutritional intake, their growth and development will be challenging to optimize. To provide an understanding of nutrition for children, a enjoyable approach is needed, such as through games. The small-scale trial in this research involved 8 children from kindergarten group B, while the large-scale trial involved 60 kindergarten group B children. The research results show that the Nutriventure Game Monopoly is highly suitable for use as a learning tool about child nutrition, as indicated by the percentage values of 90% by content experts, 90% by game experts, and 95% by user experts. According to the Likert scale, the average total percentage value from content experts, game experts, and user experts is 92%, where >80% ? 100%, indicating that the development of the Nutriventure Game Monopoly falls into the category of highly suitable.

Abstract

The advancement of technology has changed the way we access entertainment, including adult songs that quickly become popular. Young children easily access such content, impacting their growth and development, as adult songs often touch on themes like romance and infidelity. At Kartika Kindergarten IV-73 Jember, some children enjoy singing adult songs they find on social media platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. This research aims to describe the impact of adult songs on the social-emotional development of 5-6 year-old children at Kartika Kindergarten IV-73 Jember. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, employing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The research results show both positive and negative impacts. Positively, there's better emotional expression in children. However, there are negative impacts due to exposure to violent content, which can trigger aggressive behavior and difficulties in managing emotions. Media influence can also alter perceptions and behaviors related to social relationships and love, including difficulty in adhering to rules and displaying less disciplined behavior. Nonetheless, children still demonstrate attitudes of sharing, competition, and empathy in interactions with peers. In conclusion, it's crucial for adults to monitor children's access to media content, especially adult songs, to minimize negative impacts and support their positive development

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of understanding of children aged 4-5 years at RA Mabdaus Sholah about sex education and the limited learning media to introduce sex education. This study aims to develop visual scrapbook media to introduce sex education and determine the feasibility of visual scrapbook media in introducing sex education for children aged 4-5 years. This research is included in the type of Research and Development (R&D) research using the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Data collection techniques consist of interviews, questionnaires, observation and documentation. The test subjects consisted of 22 children who were divided into small group trials of 6 children and large group trials of 16 children. The results obtained are based on the percentage of each of them, namely material experts of 85.7%, media experts of 95.5%, children's responses in small group trials of 89.6%, children's responses in large group trials of 92% and the results are included in the Very Feasible category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that visual scrapbook media as an effort to introduce sex education in children aged 4-5 years is feasible to use as learning media so that the use of visual scrapbook media can make it easier for children to understand sex education material. Suggestions for further research are to develop other visual media that can be used to introduce sex education to early childhood.
