Abstract

This research aims to obtain an analysis regarding the influence of poverty, stunting, and wasting on the special index for stunting management in children aged 0-59 months in Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, both partially and simultaneously. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach, with the population being all toddlers aged 0-59 months in 10 health center areas in Dompu Regency, covering a period of 7 years from 2017 to 2023. The techniques used to collect data are literature study and documentation study, as this research utilizes secondary data. The data processing method in this research employs SPSS version 25. The research results indicate that poverty, stunting, and wasting have a positive and significant simultaneous effect on the special index for stunting management. However, when examined individually, poverty and stunting do not have a significant effect on the special index for stunting management, while wasting does have a positive and significant effect on it. Referring to the results of this research, efforts to maintain and even improve the variables that are still considered lacking in this study are necessary so that the rates of poverty, stunting, and wasting continue to decline, and the index specifically for stunting management increases as a form of the government's successful performance. Abstract

The role of fathers in shaping the character and emotional development of early childhood (0-6 years) is undeniably crucial. Fathers, with their unique parenting styles and approaches, contribute significantly to the formation of a child's personality, moral values, emotional stability, and social skills. This literature review examines various studies to analyze the impact of father involvement on children's character and emotional development. Research shows that fathers not only act as role models but also as key educators of moral values, providers of emotional support, and facilitators of social development. Active and positive father presence fosters a nurturing environment where children learn to trust, explore, and express themselves confidently. Furthermore, studies indicate that fathers who engage with their children in meaningful ways help cultivate emotional resilience, problem-solving skills, and an enhanced ability to navigate social interactions. The long-term impact of such involvement is reflected in children's self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and preparedness to face future challenges, underlining the importance of father-child relationships in early childhood development.

Abstract

The project-based learning approach allows children to be actively involved in activities encouraging them to take independent roles and work together to complete tasks. This study used a quantitative experimental method with a single-group pretest-posttest design involving 30 children. The sample in the survey was group A children aged 4-5 years at Agropolitan Kindergarten, Kabila District, Kabila Bone Regency, Gorontalo, totaling 15 children. The study results showed that Before treatment (pretest), the average scores of independence and collaboration were at a lower level, namely 52 and 48 respectively. After being given treatment in the form of Project-Based Learning (posttest), the independence score increased to 78, while the collaboration score increased to 75. From the results of the statistical analysis of the t-test hypothesis test above, the researcher can conclude that the significant test obtained a t-count value = 14.38 independence and 14.68 collaboration while the t-table value at (α) = 0.05 is as large as 0.242. If t-count> t-table; 14.38> 0.242 and 14.68> 0.242 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. By being accepted, the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is an Influence of the Project-Based Learning Model to Improve Independence and Collaboration in Children Aged 4-5 Years at TK Pembina Agropolitan Kabila Bone Gorontalo. This study enriches the literature on project-based learning in early childhood education and implies that this approach effectively builds the foundation of independence and collaboration. Further studies can explore the long-term impact of this model on other aspects such as children's creativity and problem solving. situs slot gacor   Key Words: Project Based Learning (PBL) Model; Independence, Collaboration

Abstract

Single mothers who have young children with multiple disabilities have full responsibility for raising children, without the presence of a partner who acts as both mother and father for their children. Single mothers who raise children with multiple disabilities face extra challenges and difficulties compared to other parents. Various challenges for single mothers include meeting the special needs of children, limited access to services and support, to multiple financial and emotional burdens. Self-acceptance is a crucial factor that affects the well-being and quality of life of single mothers with children with multiple disabilities. This study was conducted to explore and understand more deeply the phenomenon of self-acceptance in single mothers with children with multiple disabilities using a qualitative approach. The method used is a case study involving single mother participants who have young children with multiple disabilities, living in the Lakarsantri area, Surabaya. The multiple disabilities experienced by the subject's child are hard of hearing and low vision. This research method uses observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses thematic analysis. The process of accepting the child's condition is a journey in itself for single mothers through five stages, namely denial, depression, anger, bargaining, and finally acceptance and adjustment. This process involves seeking knowledge, consulting with professionals, and interacting with other families who have similar experiences. Emotional fluctuations are still possible, especially when parents are faced with new challenges in their child's development. Self-acceptance is better seen as an active process in which parents continually adjust, learn, and grow with their children.

Abstract

The introduction of learning through local culture is one of the efforts to preserve indigenous cultures, enabling children to experience and participate in activities related to local traditions. Cultural activities contain unique values that can be used as learning tools in schools, both as an introduction and as a habitual practice. Banyuwangi Regency, located in the easternmost part of East Java Province, remains strongly committed to preserving its indigenous cultural heritage, particularly the culture of the Osing Tribe. The Osing Tribe in Banyuwangi has numerous cultural activities that can be integrated into early childhood education, as children actively participate in various cultural events within their community. The purpose of this study is to explore the ethnopedagogy practices among the Osing Tribe in Banyuwangi, specifically in early childhood education. A qualitative descriptive ethnograpy method was used to observe and understand ethnopedagogy in the learning environment of Kartini Kindergarten in Kemiren Village, Banyuwangi. The study found that there are several learning activities at Kartini Kindergarten that incorporate Osing culture into the education and habituation processes, allowing children to internalize the cultural values of the Osing Tribe. These activities include wearing traditional attire as school uniforms, participating in Banyuwangi traditional dance extracurriculars, dedicating a special day each week to introduce Osing culture through typical Banyuwangi foods, using the Osing language in learning, and engaging in traditional games.

Abstract

Outbound activities offer an experiential and play-based approach to physical learning that supports the development of gross motor skills in early childhood. This study aims to explore how outbound activities contribute to the physical, social, and emotional growth of children aged 5–6 years at TK ABA Bayen. Using a narrative inquiry approach, the research captures the lived experiences of children, teachers, and parents during the outbound program involving activities such as rope bridge walking, throwing the glass, fits hands and feet, relaying water and crossing suspension bridge. Data were collected through observations, reflective journals, and interviews, and analyzed thematically to reveal patterns of growth and meaning-making. The findings indicate that outbound activities foster noticeable improvements in children’s balance, strength, coordination, and overall confidence in movement. Beyond physical gains, the narratives also highlight enhancements in self-confidence, social-emotional and social interaction. The study concludes that outbound activities, when intentionally designed and facilitated, serve as a powerful medium for holistic development in early childhood. It is recommended that early childhood education institutions integrate outbound activities into the learning environment to support children's physical and psychosocial growth through embodied, meaningful experiences.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the role of parents in developing children's self-help skills and how different parenting styles affect their physical motor development. This research used a library research method to explore the role of parents in self-help skills and their impact on children's physical motor development. Self-help skills are a crucial aspect of the physical motor development of early childhood, encompassing activities such as eating, dressing, using household tools, and using the toilet, which require fine and gross motor coordination. Parents play a crucial role in developing these skills through different parenting styles: permissive, authoritarian, and democratic. Parents play a crucial role by modeling usage and guiding children in daily practices, thereby enhancing their comfort and responsibility in maintaining personal hygiene. Active parental involvement is essential for helping children develop self-help skills and achieve optimal physical motor development. Appropriate parenting styles and consistent guidance lay a strong foundation for children to become independent, confident, and capable individuals, effectively navigating life's challenges.
