Abstract

The usage of Azolla Microphylla as fish feed provides several advantages for fish farmers such as; the low-cost, the easy-to-obtain, and the taste that is favoured by some freshwaterfish especially catfish (Clarias Batrachus). Azolla Microphylla is known as one ofPterideophyte aquatic plants that can be utilized as fish feed for catfish because of its highnutritional values, including N, P, Si, Ca, Fe, Mg, and some others. This study aims to analyzethe effectiveness of feeding Azolla Microphylla on catfish length and weight growth by anexperimental method. A completely randomized design was conducted with 5 treatments and 4repeatabilities using 20 fish farms containing a cluster of catfish with an average size of 5 cm,that regularly fed with Azolla Microphylla. The observation was conducted every 10 daysduring the treatment, with a total number of observations held 4 times in the 40-daystreatment. The result indicated that the treatment in P2, with a 60-gram dosage of AzollaMicrophylla feeding, gives the optimal growth on catfish length and weight compared to othertreatments. Best scores in P2 treatment is found in the fourth observation, where the catfishlength reaches around 28 cm, and the weight reached 100 gram. Based on the single factorANOVA test, the real difference values for each group and treatment which analysed at asignificance level of 0,05, namely FvaluesFtable, indicates a significant effect of AzollaMicrophylla on the catfish growth. The Tukey’s Honest Significant Difference test also showsa significant effect of the Azolla Microphylla feeding on the catfish length and weight growth. Therefore, feeding catfish with 60-gram of Azolla Microphylla creates an effective treatmentto gain catfish length and weight. Keywords: Azolla Microphylla, Feeding, Fish Feed, Catfish Growth

Abstract

Elementary school is the main foundation in developing an understanding of mathematical concepts. If the basic understanding of students' concepts is not good or weak, then students can’t solve math problems. Therefore, understanding the concept is important to help students in learning mathematics. In the learning process the teacher doesn’t optimize the methods, strategies or learning models. So far, the learning process is only focus by explanations or examples of questions, as a result, when students are faced with different questions, students have difficulty solving problems. This happens because the lack of students' conceptual understanding skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts through the Think Talk Write learning model. This study uses a quantitative approach, while the design used in this study is the Pre Experiment One group pretest and posttest design. The populations in the study were all students at SD Negeri 42 Banda Aceh, totaling 50 students. The sample in this study was the V grade students as the experimental class, while the grade as the control class. Based on the analysis of research data, it is stated that the value of sig. (2-tailed) the N-Gain score is 0.000 less than 0.05 so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Keywords: Concept Understanding Ability; Mathematics Lesson; TTW.

Abstract

Health development as one of the national development goals has been focused on building awareness, willingness and ability of people to live a healthy lifestyle and achieve optimal health status. Management of various governmental and community resources is needed to achieve the goasl and to provide efficient, quality and affordable health services. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between culture and food abstinence behavior during the postpartum period in the Padang Tiji Health Center Work Area, Padang Tiji District, Pidie Regency. Abstinence of food is not advised on postpartum mothers because it can slow down the healing process of perineal sutures. Instead, postpartum mothers are recommended to eat food in the right quality and quantity, particulary food containing protein. There were two variables in this study, namely culture and food abstinence behavior. The samples of this study were all postpartum mothers in the Padang Tiji Health Center Work area, totaling 32 people. This research was analytical with the crosssectional design. The results revealed that there is a significant relationship between culture and food taboo behavior during the puerperium. The majority of respondents (62.5%) said that they abstained from food. The results also showed that a good culture leads to a more positive behavior (46.9%). It is thus expected that all mothers in the Padang Tiji Health Center Work area can gain updated information on food taboos during the puerperium.
