Abstract

Water spinach is a type of horticultural plant that has high economic value. Water spinach needs nutrients that are quickly available to support its growth. Micronutrients are an important support for plants. There are two ways of providing micronutrients to plants, through roots and through leaves. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of providing complete microfertilizer through the roots and leaves on the growth of kale plants. This research was carried out in June-August 2023, using a single factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatments consisted of 3, namely control, micro fertilizer given through the roots (watered), micro fertilizer given through the leaves (spray). The observation parameters are: plant height, number of leaves, greenness of the leaves, fresh weight of the crown, fresh weight of the roots, dry weight of the crown, dry weight of the roots, ratio of root shoots, ratio of leaf area and typical leaf weight. The results of the research, providing micronutrients to kale plants through the leaves has a better influence on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, greenness of the leaves, leaf area and leaf area ratio.

Abstract

Tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa. L.) termasuk sayuran daun yang digemari oleh masyarakat hampir di seluruh dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Kebutuhan pasar akan sayuran selada terus meningkat namun produksinya masih tergolong rendah. Ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan dalam produksi di antaranya adalah faktor pemupukan. Sehubungan dengan itu telah dilaksanakan penelitian tentang produksi selada (Lactuca sativa L.) dengan pemberian pupuk pelengkap cair (PPC) pada media arang sekam di Sukarami di Solok. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi PPC terbaik pada produksi tanaman selada. Dalam Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Masing-masing perlakuan adalah (A) tanpa perlakuan, (B) konsentrasi 0,2 % larutan, (C) konsentrasi 0,4% larutan, (D) konsentrasi 0,6% larutan dan (E) konsentrasi 0,8% larutan. Parameter yang diukur adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan bobot segar per tanaman. Data penelitian diolah dengan analisis sidik ragam pada taraf α 5%. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan bobot segar pertanaman hasilnya berpengaruh sangat nyata dan perlakuan terbaik adalah pada perlakuan E dengan konsentrasi 0,8 %.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis pohon di Kebun Raya UHO. Riset bersifat jelajah dengan pendekatan deskriptif yaitu pengamatan morfologi pohon dilakukan dengan empat tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan dan pengumpulan data sekunder, tahap observasi, tahap pengumpulan data primer, dan tahap identifikasi dengan durasi waktu empat bulan yaitu pada bulan april sampai juli 2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 21 jenis pohon yang terdiri dari 17 famili. Famili Myrtaceae termasuk famili yang mendominasi. Selain itu pada jalur tracking penangkaran angrek kebun raya UHO terdapat jenis pohon khas Sulawesi

Abstract

Sustainable agricultural technology is essential as a solution to the need for improving the quantity and quality of agricultural production. Reimplementing sustainable agricultural technology requires time, financial resources, energy, and efforts from all stakeholders. The adoption of sustainable agricultural technology is crucial to restoring and preserving the quality of agricultural commodities. The adoption process, which is expected to be carried out by farmers, must be accompanied by agricultural extension workers as representatives of the government. It is necessary to gather information on the extent to which the adoption process of this technology has been implemented. The Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method, as a qualitative social research approach, can serve as a tool for evaluating programs and gaining deeper insights into the collective behavioral patterns of farmers participating in these programs. The results of the FGD-based research revealed that the adoption rate among farmers has reached nearly 70%, with a success rate of 71%. The study also found that the success of farmers was significantly influenced by the contributions of related government agencies that provided sustainable agricultural technology, as well as by farmers’ own independent innovations. Moreover, the greatest success factor was the assistance provided by local agricultural extension workers

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the broiler chicken farming business in Blang Dalam Village, Bandar Dua District, Pidie Jaya Regency, which has great potential in increasing farmers' income and meeting the increasing need for chicken meat. Broiler chicken farming in this area is promising due to the high market demand, both locally and more widely, as well as the relatively low costs of raising broiler chickens compared to other livestock. This research involved 110 broiler chicken breeders as a population, and 10 breeders were selected as samples using a purposive sampling method. Primary data was collected through direct interviews with breeders regarding personal characteristics and business profiles, while secondary data was obtained from various related agencies. The research results show that the average income of broiler chicken farmers in the research area reaches Rp. 38,938,444 per period with an R/C value of 1.48, which shows that this business is feasible and quite profitable. Apart from that, the broiler chicken marketing system in Gampong Blang Dalam is also considered efficient, which supports the sustainability of the broiler chicken farming business in the area. Thus, this business has bright prospects in improving the economic welfare of farmers and supporting the growth of the livestock sector in Bandar Dua District.

Abstract

Perkebunan kayu manis adalah sumber pencarian utama masyarakat petani di Desa Taba Mulan Kecamatan Merigi. Sebagai komuditas utama yang dibudidayakan oleh petani Desa Taba Mulan, pada praktiknya keberhasilan petani kayu manis seringkali dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan yang tidak menentu. Hal ini menyebabkan produktivitas dan pendapatan petani kayu manis tidak selalu optimal. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor keberhasilan petani kayu manis Pada Desa Taba Mulan Kecamatan Merigi. Jenis penelitian berupa penelitian dekriptif kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara untuk melakukan pengumpulan data. Adapun hasil data di analisis menggunakan metode statistik non parametik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor keberhasilan pada responden petani kayu manis termasuk tinggi dengan akumulasi skor dari ke lima faktor sebesar 29 atau 74,4%. Temuan ini diharapkan mampu menghasilkan kontribusi berupa kebijakan pertanian kayu manis yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan pada Desa Taba Mulan Kecamatan Merigi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Eksplorasi dan Karakterisasi Plasma Nutfah Tanaman Manggis (Garcinia mangostana L.) bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keragaman dan karakteristik dari morfologi tanaman manggis di Kecamatan Ujung Batu Rokan Hulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi deskriptif yaitu: mengeksplorasi dan karakterisasi tanaman manggis. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan melalui kegiatan survei pendahuluan. Informasi diperoleh dari masyarakat sekitar dan pencarian langsung ke lapangan. Pengambilan data sampel pada lokasi terpilih dilakukan secara langsung terhadap tanaman manggis. Pengisian kuisioner serta wawancara dengan masyarakat dilakukan di lokasi pengambilan sampel. Kriteria tanaman yang dijadikan sampel yaitu tanaman yang telah berada di fase generatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Karakteristik dalam morfologi tanaman manggis di Kecamatan Ujung Batu, Rokan Hulu memiliki variasi yang beragam pada karakternya dan tetap mencirikan karakter morfologi dari tanaman manggis. Tingkat keragaman morfologi tanaman manggis secara kuantitatif tergolong luas pada parameter pengamatan panjang daun, panjang putik, panjang buah, diameter buah, dan bobot buah. Tingkat kemiripan berdasarkan 14 parameter pengamatan kualitatif pada tanaman manggis di Kecamatan Ujung Batu, Rokan Hulu menyebar pada koefisien 73%. Tingkat kemiripan pada nilai koefisien 100% membentuk 9 pasang aksesi.

Abstract

The palm oil plantation in Tanjung Aur Village, Bunga Mas Sub-District, South Bengkulu Regency is one of the agricultural businesses that generates income for the people of Tanjung Aur Village, thus farmers need to pay attention to several maintenance costs. The objectives of this research are (1) To determine the maintenance costs of palm oil, (2) To know the income from palm oil businesses, (3) To analyze the effect of maintenance costs on the income of palm oil farmers in Tanjung Aur Village, Bunga Mas Sub-District, South Bengkulu Regency. The research method used is descriptive quantitative and simple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the monthly maintenance costs for palm oil that must be incurred amount to Rp. 4,668,057 per month. The income from the palm oil business for each farmer is Rp. 7,693,667 per month. Maintenance costs have an effect on income with a calculated Tcount value greater than the T table value (37.394 > 1.67252).

Abstract

Nita Kloang Village is one of the villages in Nita District, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, with the majority of the population working as farmers. The leading commodity in this village is horticulture. The Sinar Bahagia Farmers Group is one of the farmer groups involved in chilli cultivation, including seeding and product processing. The Sinar Bahagia Farmers Group needs to pay attention to pests and diseases in chilli plants. The Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM)-Village Development will take place in August-December 2024 in Nita Kloang Village, Nita District. The activity took place at the Sinar Bahagia Farmers Group. The methods used in this research are descriptive and primary methods. Descriptive data was collected through ongoing problems obtained directly at the research location. Primary data was obtained directly by the author. The procedures for identifying pests and diseases in chilli plants include determining observation blocks, identifying pests and diseases, analysing the level of attack, and knowing control.

Abstract

Cocoa plants (Theobrama Cacao L.) are one of the plantation commodities that play an important role in the indonesian economy. The need for sufficient water during the growing period is very important to ensure the vegetative and generative growth of plants, so that they can produce fruit with good quality. However, the availability of water in plantation areas is often a problem, especially in the dry season or in areas with uncertain rainfall such as in Maumere wich is currently experiencing a hot climate. This study aims to analyze the effect of simple drip irrigation using plastic bottles on cocoa plant productivity. The research was conducted at the Sikka Field Laboratory Service Garden for three months, from September to December 2024. The research method used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with five treatments and four repetitions. The observed parameter is the number of flowers and cocoa fruit. The main material used is used plastic bottles asirrigation tools. simple, with small holes to distribute water direcly to the root zone. The results showed that treatment P3 (24 liters per week) produced the highest productivity, wich was an average of 318.25 flowers and an average of 16.5 fruits. The conclusion of this study is that simple drip irrigation using plastic bottles is an effective and efficient method to increase cocoa plant productivity, especially in areas with limited water resources. This method is environmentally friendly, easy to implement, and can be an innovative alternative to overcome conventional irrigation constraints.
