This research applies a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach using non-equivalent control group design. With a research sample of 25 students in class VA and 25 students in class VC at SDN 052 Cisaranten Wetan Gedebage for the 2023/2024 academic year. The data collection technique used is a test. The data analysis technique in this research is by testing prerequisite analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the research show that the effect of implementing the NHT type cooperative learning model on students' mutual cooperation character has increased moderately in the experimental class. The effect of implementing the TGT type cooperative model on the mutual cooperation character of students in the control class experienced a slight increase. The difference in improvement can be seen as shown by the results of the independent sample t-test which confirms that there is a difference in influence between the experimental class and the control class.

This research analyzes the role of student organizations in increasing citizenship awareness among students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Medan State University. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive design, involving structured interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of 30 people, namely 20 young members of student organizations and 10 active members. The results showed that student organizations play a significant role in increasing citizenship awareness through educational activities such as seminars and social actions. As many as 85% of respondents claimed that participation in organizational activities helped them understand the values of democracy and diversity. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Gerakan Gemar Membaca (Love to Read Movement) program on improving students' reading interest at SMK N 4 Padangsidimpuan. The research employed a quantitative approach with an experimental design, involving two groups: the experimental group participating in the Gerakan Gemar Membaca program and the control group not participating. A purposive sampling technique was used, with a total of 60 students, 30 in each group. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire measuring reading interest, administered before and after the program, along with observations of literacy activities. The collected data were analyzed using a t-test to compare the pre-test and post-test scores between the two groups. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group, with the average post-test score reaching 78.00, while the control group scored an average of 65.00. This indicates that the Gerakan Gemar Membaca program has a positive impact on enhancing students' reading interest. The study concludes that the implementation of literacy programs such as Gerakan Gemar Membaca is effective in improving students' reading interest in secondary schools. Therefore, it is recommended that the program be continued and expanded to foster a stronger reading culture among students.

Abstract

This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach. Literature review research is a method aimed at analyzing and synthesizing information available from various literature sources. In differentiated learning, the teacher's role is crucial in determining the success of the learning process. Teachers must be creative in selecting models, techniques, and strategies that encourage active student participation, thereby improving the quality of classroom learning. The Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) program highlights the importance of adapting instructions to diverse needs, skills, interests, and learning preferences of students. This idea aligns with the philosophy of the Merdeka Curriculum, which grants educators the autonomy to create learning experiences that are more adaptable and contextually relevant. In practice, differentiated learning requires offering a variety of approaches, resources, and evaluation techniques based on the unique needs and capabilities of each student. While differentiated learning has the potential to enhance students' enthusiasm and engagement, its implementation faces challenges, including limited resources, inadequate teacher understanding, and inconsistent institutional support. Therefore, to facilitate the application of more individualized and flexible teaching methods, it is essential to improve teacher preparation programs and provide adequate facilities

Abstract

The challenge of education today is to create a generation that is not only knowledgeable, but also has strong characters, such as curiosity and concern for the environment. However, formal learning often does not provide enough space for exploration and active involvement of students, so that the development of these two characters is hampered. This study aims to build students' curiosity and environmental awareness through research-based learning at the Nature School PKBM Sanggar Anak Alam (SALAM). The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with quantitative analysis, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Character building is carried out through direct exploration of the surrounding natural environment facilitated by research methods. The results of the study showed that research-based learning encourages students to ask questions, conduct experiments, and explore independently, thereby increasing their curiosity. In addition, students demonstrate real actions in protecting the environment, which reflects the development of environmental awareness. This research-based learning proves that students' active involvement in contextual learning can strengthen their positive character, while creating relevant and meaningful learning experiences
