Abstract

Online tourism and social media have transformed the way people view and experience local culture, including the Kajang Dalam indigenous community, which maintains strict ethical, moral, and modesty rules. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how Kajang Dalam women maintain and disseminate traditional values amidst digital trends that drive increased tourist visits. The study will also examine how they communicate through visual representations that often do not align with the cultural context. This research utilizes qualitative methods by conducting semi-structured interviews with indigenous women, tourism practitioners, and purposively selected traditional leaders. To analyze the data thematically, source triangulation and cross-checking with informants were used to ensure credibility. The results show that Kajang Dalam women maintain moral values, regulate social etiquette, and are active cultural interpreters, asserting customary boundaries within digital tourism practices. They reprimand moral violations, educate tourists, and limit the use of technology in certain traditional areas, serving as a bridge between tradition and change. The results suggest that women play a strategic role in maintaining cultural resilience and strengthening community identity amidst the digitalization of tourism.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in primary schools still faces various challenges, one of which is low student learning outcomes due to the use of learning models that tend to be conventional. One alternative that is considered capable of overcoming this problem is the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, which emphasises contextual problem solving to increase student active engagement. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Sindangbarang 04. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, comparing student learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the PBL model. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and analysed using relevant statistical techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model had a positive effect on improving students' mathematics learning outcomes, as indicated by an increase in the average score and the percentage of learning completeness. These findings indicate that the PBL model is effective in improving mathematical concept understanding and encouraging more meaningful learning for primary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role and quality of Islamic boarding school alumni in leading formal educational institutions amid the challenges of the digital era, with a focus on leadership competencies, digital skills, and religious character as superior human resources. The method used is a literature review with thematic analysis of relevant local literature published in the period 2021–2024 to identify factors that influence the success of Islamic boarding school alumni in educational leadership. The results of the study show that Islamic boarding school alumni have a strong foundation in traditional Islamic boarding school values, such as discipline, work ethic, moral responsibility, and prophetic leadership, which support their effectiveness in leading formal educational institutions. However, these values need to be reinforced with digital literacy, modern educational management skills, and professional networks in order to respond to the changes and demands of the digital era. Based on these findings, this study recommends the integration of digital literacy into the pesantren curriculum, the strengthening of leadership development programmes, and increased synergy between pesantren and formal educational institutions as strategies for preparing alumni who are adaptive, competitive, and relevant to the needs of education in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how women are portrayed in two legends, namely Nyi Roro Kidul and Dewi Anjani, from the perspective of Simone de Beauvoir's existential feminism. This study focuses on three main mechanisms proposed by Beauvoir, namely stereotypes, subordination, and objectification of women. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data sources in the form of legend texts and relevant academic references. The data analysis process was carried out using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, which consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that both legends display the same patriarchal construction patterns, such as labeling women negatively, placing women in a social position below men, and viewing women's bodies only as cultural symbols and objects. However, both characters also display different forms of female power. Nyi Roro Kidul is depicted as a supernatural and powerful figure despite being objectified, while Dewi Anjani manages to gain sovereignty after breaking free from the patriarchal structure. These findings show that legends play a role in reproducing and negotiating gender ideology, making it important to critically analyze folklore as part of the culture that shapes society's perceptions of women.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyse the effectiveness of implementing simple vocational sewing skills learning for mildly mentally disabled students in Grade VII at SLB Benpasi Kefamenanu. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, which was carried out in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of four students with mild intellectual disabilities. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while learning activities were implemented through demonstration, repeated practice (drill), and intensive individual assistance. The learning material focused on simple sewing skills, such as making straight stitches and producing small handicraft products. The results showed a significant improvement from cycle I to cycle II, both in terms of fine motor skills and the level of independence of the students. The students were increasingly able to follow instructions well, showed more consistent neatness in their sewing, and completed tasks more independently and on time. These findings are supported by the teachers' adaptive approach to students' needs and the availability of adequate learning facilities. Thus, simple sewing vocational learning has proven to be effective in increasing the independence and self-confidence of students with mild intellectual disabilities as a life skill.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of discipline, work ethics, and compliance in shaping employee work behavior through a theoretical approach and literature review. These three aspects are considered fundamental elements that contribute to improving work effectiveness and achieving organizational targets. The research method used is a literature review, examining 11 relevant scientific references, including national and international journals discussing discipline, work ethics, compliance, and employee performance. Research findings indicate that work ethics serve as a moral foundation that influences the development of disciplined behavior and compliance in carrying out tasks. Discipline is closely related to compliance, especially in the implementation of standard operating procedures, adherence to regulations, and fulfillment of work responsibilities. Furthermore, these three variables positively impact the improvement of performance, productivity, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction across various fields. Therefore, this literature review affirms that discipline, work ethics, and compliance are interconnected foundations of work behavior and have a significant influence on organizational effectiveness. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for the development of policies, training programs, and human resource management strategies in the workplace.
