Abstract

Employee performance in a government organization is an important component in achieving the goal of providing the best service to the community. As a result, leaders must effectively handle work conflicts that affect employee performance and job satisfaction. This research aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and work conflict on performance in the field of medicine and health in the North Sumatra Regional Police, as well as through job satisfaction. Leadership style and work conflict are identified as factors that influence individual performance in the organizational context. Data was collected through a survey using a questionnaire distributed to 83 respondents in the North Sumatra Regional Police's Biddokkes. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and SEM (Structural Equation Model) analysis. The research results show that leadership style has a positive and significant influence on performance in the field of medicine and health in the North Sumatra Regional Police. Work conflict has a negative and significant effect on performance. High work conflict tends to hinder individual performance. Job satisfaction can mediate the relationship between leadership style, work conflict, and performance. This means that if individuals feel satisfied with their work, the negative influence of work conflict can be reduced and the positive influence of leadership style can be increased. This research provides an important contribution to the understanding of the factors that influence performance in the field of medicine and health in the North Sumatra Regional Police. The practical implication of this research is the importance of developing an effective leadership style and good conflict management in improving individual performance. Apart from that, organizations also need to pay attention to job satisfaction as a factor that can mediate the relationship between leadership style, work conflict and performance.

Abstract

This increase in rice productivity must also be accompanied by an increase in the quality of the rice produced, namely rice that is able to meet demands and suit consumer preferences. The use of combine harvester harvesting machines can benefit farmers, because combine harvesters make it easier for farmers to harvest rice, shorten harvest time, reduce costs during harvest and can overcome the difficulty of finding workers during the main harvest. The aim of this research is: To analyze rice production before and after using Combine Harvester technology. To analyze rice farmers' income before and after using Combine Harvester technology. The data collected in this research used quantitative data analysis with descriptive statistical techniques. For quantitative data, use the average difference test (t-test). The results of this research were that the amount of rice production after using the combine was greater because the grain was clean, not mixed with dirt from empty grain and rubbish such as grass, rice stalks and rice leaves did not enter the sack, whereas before using the combine harvester the grain was still dirty and still a lot of empty grain droppings into the sack. Farmers' income before using combine harvester technology is lower than farmers who have used combine harvester technology, this is because using a combine harvester machine can cut production costs and reduce losses during harvesting activities and the amount of labor needed before using this tool. more than after using a combine harvester, so it will have an impact on increasing rice production and the income of farmer users.

Abstract

YAYU JUITA AGUSTINA TOBING (207039019) with the thesis title "Analysis of Red Chili (Capsicum Annum. L) Supply in North Sumatra Province". This research was supervised by Dr. Lindawati SP. M.Si as Chair of the supervising Commission and Dr.Ir.Salmiah, MS as member of the supervising commission. Chili in North Sumatra plays a very important role for the government, producers and consumers. Red chilies can help increase regional income in terms of exports and imports. We know that red chilies are able to penetrate the international market both fresh and processed. Availability of planting land, price levels and production costs such as fertilizer prices change every year. This can affect the amount of chili offered in North Sumatra Province. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of independent variables on supply and analyze the short-term and long-term elasticity of red chili supply in North Sumatra Province. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of a time series starting from 2001 to 2021 (per 6 months). The research method used is distributed lag model analysis. The results of this research are the Prob F-statistic value < significance α = 0.05, namely 0.000011, together with the independent variables in the model, namely the price of red chilies (Pct), the price of red chilies the previous year (Pct-1), area red chili harvest (Lpt), and the price of NPK fertilizer (Hpnt) have a real influence on the dependent variable. significant α = 5%. Based on the probability value, the price of red chilies in the previous year was 0.0408 < α = 0.05 and the area of red chili harvested was 0.0233 < α = 0.05. This shows that the price of red chilies in the previous year and the size of the harvest area have a real influence on the supply of red chilies in North Sumatra Province. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies in year t with a probability of 0.0408 < α = 0.05 and the price of fertilizer in year t with a probability of 0.0633 > α = 0.05 do not have a significant effect because the probability value < α = 0.05. The short term elasticity is 0.051081 < 1, so it is stated as inelastic and the long term elasticity is 0.081358 < 1. In the long term and short term changes in the supply of red chilies in North Sumatra province are smaller than price changes.
