Abstract

Vocational education, especially Air Traffic Controller personnel with 70% practicum. Currently there are no VIVO facilities available for recording practicum implementation which can be utilized by cadets to assist the learning process outside of practicum hours/especially in ADC practicum activities. The aim of the research is to design a VIVO recording device for ADC practicum activities. The research uses the R&D method by adapting the ADDIE model. The research sample was 24 MLLU study program cadets. The research instrument used the Gutman scale. The device testing instrument is the black box test. Data analysis techniques use Excel data processing. The obtained by analysis based on device needs were 83% stating that the ADC practicum learning process required supporting tools in the independent learning process in the dormitory, 91.7% needed interactive learning facilities and 95.8% needed learning experiences. The design of the visual sound recording device utilizes a CCTV device that can be accessed anywhere 24 hours via an Android mobile device. feasibility test using the black box test method by paying attention to the features of the ezviz device and the process of setting up the CCTV device, while the implementation stage of the vivo device was carried out at the 9th to 14th meetings.

Abstract

Night flying training is one of the training stages that pilot cadets must take. Night flying training is full of risks because apart from dark conditions, pilot cadets also carry out activities all day long, and the possibility of fatigue and tiredness is greater. This research aims to measure the night flying performance of pilot cadets by using cadet activities as the independent variable. Fatigue is also used as an intervening variable in this research so that it can provide a complete image of night flying performance. This research uses quantitative methods with SEM-PLS analysis using the SmartPLS3 application. The research results showed that cadet activity had an influence on night flying performance while fatigue had no influence on night flying performance. Meanwhile, cadet activities do not have an influence on fatigue of pilot cadets

Abstract

Aviation radio communication services between Air Traffic Control and pilots must be maintained in good condition without interruption because flight safety is the main priority. The goal of the research is to reduce unwanted frequency harmonics generated from the transmitter so that the effect of frequency interference on adjacent channels can be reduced. This tool will only miss the expected frequency. This bandpass filter is set up carefully to be able used in the VHF Air Ground Communication frequency range, namely 118 – 137 MHz with a tunable combline model which has high selectivity in the frequency channel used. This research method is the design and analysis of a tool consisting of several cylindrical rod transmission lines (slabline) connected to ground at one end and a variable capacitor attached along with ground at the other end. The simulation results and measurements of insertion loss (S21) and return loss (S11) parameters still meet design standards in all VHF A/G frequency ranges. Equipment performance was tested with a working frequency of 120.0 MHz on VHF AG radio transmitter equipment Brand Icom A-120 with a power of 9 Watts, Brand Rohde & Swarch SU4200 with a power of 5 Watts, and Dittel FSG-2T with an output power of 3 Watts. Test results using the equipment can still be used with VSWR results still less than 2 and a decrease in power output of less than 20% of the nominal power.

Abstract

Pesawat Boeing 737-200 di produksi dari tahun 1967-1988, sehingga peralatan navigasi pada era tersebut belum banyak kemanjuan di banding saat ini, sehingga perlu dimodifikasi dengan melakukan penambahan peralatan navigasi yang salah satunya adalah ATC Transponder. Peralatan ATC Transponder terdiri dari 2 komponen utama, yaitu Transceiver (alat pemancar dan penerima sinyal gelombang radio) dan antena. Peralatan transceiver dipasang pada cockpit, sedangkan antena dipasang pada fuselage skin yang berlokasi di body station 427 bagian atas. Untuk menguatkan pemasangan antena, maka diperlukan penambal (doubler). Berdasarkan data SRM Boeing 737-200, geometrinya berukuran panjang 165,1 mm, lebar 266,7 mm dan tebalnya 2 mm. Penambal direkatkan dengan menggunakan paku keling sebanyak 74 dengan diameter 4,76 mm pada fuselage skin. Fuselage skin dimodelkan berupa pelat utama (exixsting skin) dengan ukuran panjang 354,33 mm, lebar 401,4 mm dan tebal 1,8 mm. Material pelat utama dan penambal adalah aluminium T2024-T3, modulus elastisitasnya 72 GPa. Data-data dari material dan SRM Boeing 737-200 dianalisis menggunakan metode elemen hingga dengan software PATRAN NASTRAN. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa resultan beban geser maksimum yang terjadi pada paku keling adalah sebesar 675,76 N dan paku keling yang mendapat beban maksimum tersebut posisinya paling jauh dari lubang. Berdasarkan batas nilai kekuatan geser maksimum paku keling dengan diameter 4,76 mm sebesar 4498 N, maka paku keling masih aman digunakan

Abstract

Aviation Polytechnic is a vocational education that should follow the global vocational education. The Polytechnic prepares its graduates not only to achieve education but also to develop social attitudes and skills in various fields. On-the-job training (OJT) programs were then conducted to increase some of these skills, namely problem-solving and self-efficacy (confidence in their abilities). This study aimed to determine whether OJT affected problem-solving skills, self-efficacy, and both. It used a quantitative method with a questionnaire as the instrument for data collection. The data were analyzed by a series of tests that examined the instrument, the prerequisite test, and the hypothesis. They were examined using the MANOVA method. The study indicated that OJT affected the problem-solving skills of Palembang Aviation Polytechnic cadets. The study also found the effect of OJT on the cadets’ self-efficacy. Finally, it was found that OJT had an effect on both problem-solving skills and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Understanding gas turbine engines as aircraft propulsion engines is essential in aircraft maintenance. It was found that the learning outcomes for basic turbine motor courses (gas turbine engine fundamentals) were not optimal. This research aims to learn and teach basic motorbike courses that focus on finding out learning activities based on the general features of good teaching Gall et al. (2007) in the basic course on turbine motors at the TPU D.IV Study Program. This research was conducted in June-July 2022 and used qualitative methods with semi-structured interviews, observations, and theoretical studies to collect qualitative data. Six findings, namely lack of student involvement; activity plans inside and outside lectures are inadequate; need to maintain and plan better practical activities; no program for implementing understanding in the classroom; and emphasis on activities in pairs or groups. The limitation of this research is that it only examines teaching and learning activities. There may be other parameters that can influence academic achievements such as student characteristics, availability of learning materials, facilities, etc., or developing learning with a structured active learning approach to maintain student involvement and understanding of the content that needs to be carried out in further research.

Abstract

The aim to be achieved is to analize and find out the magnitude, both partially and simultaneously, of the influence of transformational and democratic leadership styles on employee work loyalty. Classifed as quantitative research utilizing research instrument in the form of a questionnaire of 35 respondents (a saturated sample) of Airport Operation and Service employees of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi Kualanamu International Airport Deli Serdang. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 with descriptive analysis techniques, classic assumption tests, and hypothesis tests. Employee work loyalty can be increased based on the findings of this research when transformational leadership style and democratic leadership style are implemented

Abstract

Baseline penelitian diperlukan untuk tindak lanjut penelitian selanjutnya. Selain dari eksperimen, penggunaan simulasi numerik sederhana dapat menjadi pembanding secara singkat performa aerodinamika dari airfoil maupun sayap pesawat terbang dan UAV. Penelitian ini menunjukkan peforma aerodinamika NACA 642415 menggunakan aplikasi XFLR5 dengan sudut serang α = 0o, 2o, 4o, 6o, 8o, 10o, 12o, 14o, 16o, 18o, dan 20o. XFLR5 dapat menunjukkan secara singkat dan cepat performa aerodinamika dari airfoil dan sayap. Koefisien tekanan yang dihasilkan dapat menunjukkan secara ringkas titik separasi dan titik stall yang terjadi meskipun tidak dapat ditunjukkan secara langsung melalui hasil koefisien lift.

Abstract

Kemajuan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi, mempunyai peran yang sangat penting dalam kegiatan pendidikan yang sedang dilaksanakan oleh pemerintah, untuk mmemenuhi kebutuhan tersebut maka STPI sebagai satu-satunya Sekolah Tinggi bidang Penerbangan di Indonesia mempunyai peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas personil penerbangan di indonesia. Salah satu program pendidikan di STPI adalah pendidikan penerbang (pilot) Unit Bengkel Pesawat Udara adalah salah satu unit di STPI yang bertugas mempersiapkan pesawat latih yang laik terbang guna mendukung pelaksanaan praktek terbang pada jurusan penerbang di STPI Curug.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh komunikasi pengawasan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Sekolah Tinggi Penerbangan Indonesia (STPI) Curug - Tangerang melalui metode kuantitatif dengan rumusan masalah assosiatif dengan dua variabel independen yaitu komunikasi dan pengawasan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah para pegawai STPI Curug - Tangerang. Data penelitian diperoleh dari seberan kuesioner terhadap 83 ( delapan puluh tiga) orang responden. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa komunikasi dan pengawasan secara bersama - sama memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada STPI Curug Tangerang, hal ini diperoleh dari hasil persamaan Y= 8,897 + 0,395X1 +0,249X2. Diperoleh Koefisien Determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,444, artinya kontribusi komunikasi dan pengawasan terhadap kinerja 44,40% dan sisanya 55,60% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainya yang tidak dianalisis lebih lanjut dalam penelitian ini.
