Abstract

Madrasah is a complex educational institution that has various dimensions, especially in madrasahs whose fiber maintains Islamic values, in addition to developing general sciences so that in leading a madrasah a mature strategy is needed. This study aims to analyze the leadership strategies employed by the principal of MA Al-Mannan Bagik Nyaka in enhancing the quality of input, process, and output, as well as to identify the inhibiting factors that affect these efforts. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the principal’s leadership strategies in improving the quality of education at MA Al-Mannan Bagik Nyaka include socialization through religious study group leaders and the implementation of several extracurricular activities. Among these, the *kitab kuning* program stands out as it is prioritized annually. Furthermore, the madrasah has achieved notable accomplishments, such as winning first place in the Qur’an memorization competition at the provincial level (NTB) and first place in a district-level rock-climbing competition. The institution has also experienced a steady increase in student enrollment. However, one of the major challenges in enhancing the quality of the madrasah is the intense competition among neighboring madrasahs.

Abstract

This research aims to understand and describe the management of Islamic education at SDIT Samawa Qur'ani, focusing on efforts to build a Rabbani generation in the digital era. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews with teachers, staff, students, and parents, participant observation in class and religious activities, and document studies related to the curriculum, learning programs, and activity reports of SDIT Samawa Qur'ani. The data analysis technique used is thematic analysis. The results show that SDIT Samawa Qur'ani implements comprehensive Islamic education management, with a focus on instilling Islamic values and developing student character. Efforts to build a Rabbani generation in the digital era are carried out through various programs and activities, such as the integration of technology in learning, Islamic value-based character development, and spiritual mentoring of students. This research contributes to understanding and improving the effectiveness of Islamic education management at SDIT Samawa Qur'ani, with a focus on efforts to build a generation of Rabbani in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the use of the e-Scene application in administrative correspondence services. This application is a digital innovation that aims to speed up processes, simplify access, and increase transparency in the delivery of academic documents. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. Respondents in this study were students who actively use the e-Scene application in managing correspondence services. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, data validity testing was carried out by triangulation methods by comparing information or data through various means, namely from interviews, documentation, and direct observation. The results of the study show that students gave a positive response to the use of e-Scene because it is considered efficient, easy to use, and provides real-time information on letter status. This application also runs stably on various devices without significant technical problems. Students proposed additional features in the form of automatic notifications and a reminder system to speed up responses from related parties. These findings indicate that the success of a digital system is not only determined by technology, but also by leadership and user participation.

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of local culture in education in Sapit Village which has great potential in education, but has not been optimal or has not been documented. The purpose of this study is to explore the extent which the local culture of Sapit Village is utilized in education, and what strategies are used by schools and communities in integrating it into the learning process. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods with respondents consisting of students, traditional leaders and parents. Data analysis uses data reduction, data display and data verification, and to obtain data validity using the data triangulation method. The results of this study indicate that local culture in Sapit Village such as nyongkolan, gendang beleq, begawe, use the Sasak language have great potential to be integrated into formal education, both in terms of learning materials, methods, and values ​​​​that are instilled and contain elements of character education, life skills, and socio-cultural insights that are very important for students. In its utilization, this local culture has begun to be applied on a limited basis, but not yet optimally.

Abstract

The Indonesian education system needs a more holistic foundation and model of character education, centered on the instillation of values. This study aims to analyze in depth the relevance of Madrasatul Ula management in strengthening character education with three key questions: 1) How can the historical foundation of character education in the early Islamic period become a relevant prototype for modern education?, 2) What are the fundamental similarities and differences between this historical educational model and contemporary educational practices?, 3) How can modern challenges be addressed by reintegrating the principles of Madrasatul Ula? To answer these questions, the researcher collected data from various sources consisting of books, journal articles, dissertations, and scientific works related to Islamic education management, the history of Islamic education, and character education theory. The analysis process includes data reduction, grouping findings, and then interpreting the findings. To maintain the validity of the data, this study applies source triangulation. The results of this study found that strengthening character education in Indonesia can be successful if all stakeholders return to making Madrasatul Ula as a foundation, with management and pedagogy that exemplify the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad.

Abstract

This study focuses on an in-depth analysis of the identification of factors causing intercultural conflict and the implementation and effectiveness of Negotiation Strategies as a primary tool in addressing Intercultural Conflict Management within companies. In an era of high global connectivity, multinational companies often face disputes arising from differences in cultural perspectives and values. The method applied in this analysis is a literature study, which involves collecting sources, reading, recording, and processing relevant information. Data were obtained from textbooks, journals, research articles, and literature reviews that summarize the topic studied. The findings of this study indicate that conflict can arise due to aspects of communication, differences in goals, leadership styles, task distribution, and team member welfare. Effective negotiation strategies involve developing relationships and trust, enhancing transparent communication, understanding root causes and cultural perspectives, and applying a collaborative approach in finding mutually beneficial solutions. The implementation of strategies such as Collaboration, Compromise, Accommodation, Mediation, and the Mutual Interest Approach has proven important for maintaining harmony, stability, and supporting the competitive performance of organizations. This study concludes that collaborative and integrative negotiation strategies, supported by an understanding of organizational culture, are key to transforming conflict friction into growth opportunities.

Abstract

The Western management paradigm, rooted in rationalism, empiricism, and materialism, tends to position humans as instruments of production oriented toward efficiency and material gain.  Meanwhile, the Islamic paradigm offers an integrative management concept that makes divine values ​​the basis of organizational management. This study aims to critically analyze Western management theory and Islamic management concepts to identify fundamental differences and emphasize the relevance of Islamic management as an alternative form of governance in the era of globalization. This study uses a literature review approach with a descriptive-critical analysis design. Data are sourced from the thoughts of Western management figures such as Henri Fayol and Peter F. Drucker, as well as Islamic normative sources such as the Qur'an and Hadith, which are analyzed using content analysis and interpretive techniques. The results show that Western management is anthropocentric and relatively value-free, while Islamic management is based on the principle of monotheism, making it theocentric and value-laden. The management function (POAC) from an Islamic perspective is not only technical, but also imbued with spirituality, emphasizing the balance between professionalism and belief in God, and is oriented towards welfare and the achievement of falah in this world and the hereafter.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between job stress, organizational support, and work-life balance on employee burnout using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The literature selection process was conducted through databases such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Taylor & Francis Online using the keywords “job stress,” “organizational support,” “work-life balance,” and “burnout.” The synthesis results indicate that most studies identify job stress as the primary factor contributing to burnout, particularly in the healthcare, education, and hospitality sectors, which are characterized by high work intensity. Organizational support in the form of empathetic leadership, effective communication, and recognition of employee performance has been proven to enhance resilience and reduce emotional exhaustion. Meanwhile, organizational policies that promote work-life balance—such as flexible working hours, hybrid work systems, as well as humane leave and employee well-being programs—are among the most effective strategies for reducing burnout levels. These findings emphasize that burnout is not merely the result of individual pressure but also a consequence of organizational policies that fail to adapt to employees’ psychological needs. Therefore, companies need to integrate flexible work arrangements, empathetic supervisory support, and psychological well-being programs to foster a healthy, productive, and sustainable work environment.

Abstract

Islam is a prophetic religion revealed to promote social transformation and address fundamental social problems in human life. One of its essential roles is offering solutions to socio-economic inequality through philanthropic instruments. Zakat, as a compulsory religious obligation, serves not only as an act of worship but also as a strategic mechanism for economic development and social welfare. This article formulates two main research questions: first, what social spirit is embedded in Qur’anic verses related to zakat-based philanthropy; and second, how this social spirit can be developed through effective financial management. Employing a social interpretation approach as the analytical framework, this study identifies several key findings. Thematically, Qur’anic verses on zakat and philanthropy emphasize significant concepts such as yunfiqu amwālahum (QS. al-Baqarah: 261), tukhfūhā al-fuqarā’ (QS. al-Baqarah: 271), and fī amwālihim ḥaqqun (QS. al-Dhāriyāt: 19). These verses convey core social messages of the Qur’an, including social concern, ethical conduct, and socio-moral responsibility toward vulnerable groups. Moreover, zakat, infaq, and alms are directed toward productive and sustainable activities to foster economic independence among the poor. This objective is supported through strengthened financial management, encompassing financial literacy for beneficiaries, empowerment-based zakat governance, and continuous assistance to enhance economic resilience and adaptability.

Abstract

The main problem of this research is how the leadership model and strategy of the kiai are able to maintain the sustainability of Salafi values ​​without hindering the development of Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to describe and analyze the leadership model and strategy of KH. Taufiqurrohman in maintaining and developing the Pesantafiyah Salafiyyah Tasywiquth Thullab in Kudus. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies with key informants consisting of kiai, pesantafiyah managers, ustaz, and students. Data analysis was carried out interactively through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and its validity was tested through triangulation of sources and methods. The results show that the leadership of KH. Taufiqurrohman represents a charismatic and transformational leadership model based on moral-spiritual examples, human resource empowerment, and flexibility in decision-making. This leadership strategy is realized through independent and transparent management of educational funding and the development of an integrated curriculum that combines the traditions of Islamic boarding schools with modern formal education, thereby strengthening the sustainability and relevance of traditional Islamic boarding schools amidst the dynamics of contemporary Islamic education.
