Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to improve skill on writing letter using contextual approach. The subject of this research is fourth grade students of SD Negeri 04 Aris. The form of this research is descriptive research with classroom action research as the method. The means of this research is to investigate a condition, situation, or other things has been mentioned that the result is exposed in research report because the researcher does not change, add, or manipulate object or research area. The tools of data collecting IPKG I observation sheet, IPKG II observation sheet, Students? observation sheet. In the first cycle, the mean score of students who passed the evaluation test is 72.73% or eight students. In the second cycle, the mean score increase until 81.82% or nine students, and in the third cycle, the mean score is 90.91% or ten students. In conclusion, contextual approach can improve students? skill on writing letter.Keywords: Improving, Writing Skill, Contextual Approach

Abstract

AbstractThe students? career orientation of SMA is a process to election the students? further education and the occupation with the clear objective, self-understanding, considerations of opportunities, the exploration of the information, and planning for the future. After the students pass the graduation stage in Senior High School then, they should continue to college level education. This process effect by several things such as the potential of students? academic, supporting from their parents, the readiness of their mental as well as their knowledge and understanding of career orientation. Based on Sharf, aspect of career orientation has two components; there are Career Development Attitude and Career Development Knowledge and Skill. The purpose in this research is to describe the students? career orientation in SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. The method that used in this research is descriptive method. Based on this research the result showed that the whole career orientation was 76% with the ?High? category. Then, career development attitude was 76% with the ?High? category, besides career development knowledge and skill was 76% with the ?High? category. It was showed that the career orientation effected by two components; Career Development Attitude and Career Development Knowledge and Skill.Keywords: Career Orientation, Education, College

Abstract

 AbstractThe background of this research is to record the accompaniment of Tatung parade of Tionghoa and Dayak tribe, especially in Cap Go Meh ceremony in Singkawang city. Descriptive reaserch method and musical approach is used in this reasearch. The data is analyzed in qualitative. The interviewees that take part in the data is Eko Ladan, Simson Mihai, Eddyhlius sean, Chie Jun Fo and some artists who take part actively in accompiment of Tatung parade. Abstract

AbstractThis study entitled " Student Learning Interest Analysis on the Subjects of Sociology Class XI IPS 2 MAS Al-Mustaqim Arang Limbung". A common problem in this study is how to students interest on the subjects of Sociology class XI IPS 2 MAS Al-Mustaqim?. With the sub-problems : (1) How do the feelings of love to students in following the process learning of sociology? (2) How the student's attention at a time when the process learning of sociology?(3) How student involvement in the learning process of sociology?. The purpose of this research is to know the taste of pleasure, attention and involvement of students in the subjects of sociology. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach method. As for the sources data are the students of Class XI 2 IPS that add up to 30 people. Engineering data collection is observation, interview and documentation. Data collecting tool guidance interviews, observation and documentation guidelines. Technique of data analysis in this research include reduction of the data, the presentation of data and verification. Research results is : (1) there is no feeling of love to the students on the subjects of sociology, because students always feel bored when learning takes place. (2) the student's Attention is still less, as there are students were sleeping at the time the teacher explains material (3) student involvement is also less, because students do not contribute actively in the discussion. Keywords: Learning Interest,  Sociology Lesson

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to develop a problem-based static fluid learning module. This type of research was research and development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall model. The problem-based static fluid learning module consists of a cover, preface, table of contents, introduction, content, and conclusions. The results of the data analysis showed that the problem-based physics learning module in terms of content worthiness was 81.11%, presentation was 83.33%, language was 81% and graphics was 82.22% which included in the very high eligibility criteria. Students' responses in the initial field test were 81.49% (very high) and in the main field test amounted to 77.49% (high). Keywords: Development, Problem-Based Learning Module, Static Fluid

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of poster media from the results of morphology, nutrient content and fruit fiber of Berante (Sumbaviopsis albicans (Blume) JJSm.), Lampahung (Baccaurea racemosa Muell. Arg) and Pansi '(Xanthophyllum flavescens Roxb.) in the Tembawang forest Bagak, Sahan Village, Bengkayang District on biodiversity material for class X high school. The research was descriptive using purposive sampling technique with two stages, namely instrument validation and media validation. The poster media was validated by five validators with 12 criteria and was calculated using the Analysis of Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Lawshe Content Validity Index (CVI). The poster media was validated by 5 validators, namely two lecturers of the Biology Education Study Program FKIP Untan and two biology teachers in class X SMA Bengkayang District and one biology teacher in class X in Pontianak. Instrument validation results showed a validation sheet was used and corrected while the results of poster media validation obtained CVR and CVI values of 0.99 which corresponded to the minimum Lawshe value for five validators, so the posters was declared valid and feasible to be used as learning media on biodiversity material in class X high school.Keywords : Posters, Biodiversity, Berante ', Lampahung, Pansi'

Abstract

Abstrak: Masalah umum penelitian ini adalah upaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan Menggunakan metode SAS di kelas I SDN 08 Padang Pio Kecamatan Banyuke Hulu Kabupaten Landak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi langsung,  Alat pengumpulan data yang digunaka yaitu lembar observasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dan  siswa kelas I yang berjumlah 9 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 2 siklus dengan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh mulai dari Pra siklus sampai siklus II secara berturut-turut yaitu persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar 44,44%, 55,55% dan 67,78%. Dari data hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode SAS dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I SDN 08 Padang Pio Kecamatan Banyuke Hulu Kabupaten Landak.   Kata Kunci: Metode SAS, Membaca Permulaan Abstract: The problem in this research is to effort the read beginning in studying Indonesian Language with using SAS method in class I SDN 08 Padang Pio  Kecamatan Banyuke Hulu Kabupaten Landak. Method that using in this research is description method with near description. Technique of  data gatherer  in this research is direct observation, instrument of  data gatherer  that is sheet observation. Subject in this research is teacher Indonesian language and student class I that amount 9 people. This research valid in effect during 2 cycle with the output percentage of the  study completeness 44,44%, 55,55% and 67,78%. From the data of this research be able to knot that using SAS method can to effort read beginning ability student class I SDN 08 Padang Pio   Keywords: SAS Method, Read Beginning

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to find out types of Lexical Cohesion Devices (LCD encountered in research background of students? theses and how often these LCD were used in theses submitted to English Language Education Study Program, Languages and Arts Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tanjungpura University. This research was a descriptive study. The corpus of this research consisted of ten research backgrounds of undergraduate thesis submitted to English Language Education Study Program. This research focused on reiteration. The data were sorted from the corpus by taking the vignettes that contained LCD. Of 7410 words corpus, there were 101 LCD encountered. They are 69 repetitions, 25 synonyms, and 7 hyponyms. The most frequently used LCD was repetition while the least frequently used was hyponymy. On the other hand, antonym and metonymy were not found. Besides, the research also shows that some students applied various LCD in their thesis while some others failed to use them.Keywords: Thesis Writing, Lexical Cohesion, Lexical Cohesion Devices

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS menggunakan tipe Think Pair Share kelas IV SDN 4 Sungai Kakap. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru IPS dan siswa. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu kemampuan guru merencanakan pembelajaran siklus I 4.1, siklus II 4.6 dan siklus III 4.8, dengan peningkatan  0.5 dari siklus I ke siklus II dan 0.2 dari siklus II ke siklus III. Kemampuan guru melaksanakan pembelajaran siklus I 3.5, siklus II 4,2 dan siklus III 4.4, dengan peningkatan 0.7 dari siklus I ke siklus II, dan 0.2 dari siklus II ke siklus III. Aktivitas siswa siklus I 63.1%, siklus II 75.4% dan siklus III 84.6%, dengan peningkatan 12.3% dari siklus I ke siklus II, dan 9.2% dari siklus II ke siklus III. Dengan menggunakan tipe Think Pair Share dapat meningkatan kemampuan guru merencanakan dan melaksanakan pembelajaran serta aktivitas siswa. Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Siswa, Pembelajaran IPS, Tipe Think Pair Share Abstract: This research is aimed to describe the increase activity of students in social sciences using a learning type called Think Pair Share at class IV SDN 4 Sungai Kakap. The method utilized in this study is descriptive. The subjects of this research were the teachers and students of social science. The results obtained were the ability of teachers to plan the first learning cycle 4.1, the second cycle 4.6 and the third cycle 4.8, with an increase 0.5 from the first cycle to the second cycle and 0.2  of the second cycle to the third cycle. The ability of teachers to implement the first learning cycle was 3.5, 4.2 at the second cycle and 4.4 in the third cycle, with 0.7 increase from the first cycle to the second cycle, and 0.2 from the second cycle to the third cycle. Students? activity in the first cycle was 63.1%, 75.4% in the second cycle and 84.6% in the third cycle, with 12.3% increase from the first cycle to the second cycle, and 9.2% increase from the second cycle to the third cycle. Based on those facts, it is proven that the application of Think Pair Share increases the teachers? ability in planning and implementing the lessons and students? activity.   Keywords: Students Activities, Social Learning, Think Pair Share Type

AbstractThe background of this research to dig the interest of young generations to preserve artistic tradition and invite people who love art to especially dance can describe a dance that schilling. Methods used in this research is descriptive method .This research etnokoreologi used the approach. Qualitative research used, with speakers Juhermi Thahir, Kusmindari triwati, Sy .Oesman Alkadrie, Sy.Selamat Joesoef Al-qadrie, Sy .Mansyur Harun .A source of data in this study in the form of words or actions .The data is the result of observation , interviews and documentation. In this study engineering test the validity of the data in the form of extra observation and triangulation of a source of.
