Abstract

AbstractVocabulary is very important for classroom teaching and improving students language ability. We also need enough vocabulary to express information clearly. Classroom teaching usually starts with vocabulary. Students often encounter difficulties in learning vocabulary, especially the meaning and usage of words. In this case, in order to understand students vocabulary acquisition in learning, the author does research on the second-year science class of Christian High School in Maranatha. The author carries on the test, through the test paper to analyze and statistics the test results. After the research, the author draws a conclusion that, on the whole, the students have the best mastery of Chinese vocabulary, monosyllabic vocabulary, followed by disyllabic vocabulary, and vocabulary usage is not good. Keywords: Vocabulary, Vocabulary Teaching, Mastery

Abstract

Abstrak :Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Efektivitas pembelajaran model Numbered Head Together terhadap pemahaman konsep belajar siswa. (2) Efektivitas pembelajaran model Numbered Head Togetherterhadap hasil belajar siswa. (3) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelas yang mendapat perlakuan dengan yang tanpa perlakuan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian menggunakanthe one-shot casestudy.Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 64 orang. Uji coba instrument tes meliputi validitas, reliabilitas,daya beda, dan tingkat kesukaran. Uji hipotesis menggunakan perhitungan SPSS 16. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, dengan uji kebebasan dua faktor Fhitsebesar 23,195 untuk hasil belajar dan Fhit 17,667 dengan signifikan 0,00  0,05 untuk pemahaman konsep siswa, interaksi model pembelajaran dengan pemahaman konsep siswa F hit 3,668 signifikan 0,031 0,05 dapat disimpulkan H0 ditolak dan dapat diartikan bahwa penggunaan pembelajaran dengan model Number Head Together dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan rata-rata hasil belajar untuk kelompok eksperimen 86,25 dan 75,15 kelompok kontrol.  Kata Kunci : Numbered Head Together, Pemahaman Konsep,  Hasil Belajar Siswa  Abstract: This quantitative research aims to determine: (1) The effectiveness of the learning model of Numbered Head Together towards the understanding of the concept of student learning. (2) The effectiveness of the learning model of Numbered Head Together on student learning outcomes. (3) To know the difference between classroom learning outcomes that are subjected to those without treatment. This research is a quasi experimental. The study design using the one-shot case study. The study population numbered 64 people. The trials include testing instrument validity, reliability, power is different, and the level of difficulty. Test the hypothesis using SPSS 16. Based on the calculation results of hypothesis testing, with test two factors Fhit freedom of 23,195 to 17,667 Fhit learning outcomes and with a significant 0,00 < 0,05 for students 'understanding of the concept, the interaction model of learning by students' understanding of the concept of Fhit 3,668 significant 0,031 < 0,05 can be concluded H0 and may imply that the use of learning with Number Head Together models can improve the understanding of the concept and student learning outcomes. with an average of learning outcomes for the experimental group control group of 86,25 and 75,15.  Keywords: Numbered Head Together, Concept Students, Student Results

Abstract

AbstractThis research is focused on lunggi cloth motifs in the Sambas Malay community. This study deals with the terminology of lunggi cloth motifs which includes 3 analyzes, namely descriptive analysis analyzed with exposure techniques, lexical meaning is analyzed by lexical meaning description techniques, cultural meaning is analyzed by cultural context techniques, and implementation of lunggi fabric motifs in learning text descriptions in classes VII. The research method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative form. The data source used was the words and actions of the researcher to get information about the lunggi fabric motif from the informant who knew the ins and outs of the fabric motif that was in Semberang Hamlet, Sambas Regency. Data collection techniques are interviews and with a list of images. The following results found 93 lunggi fabric motifs consisting of 3 groups, namely flora, fauna, and nature and objects. Lunggi flora motif, the form of plants amounting to 56 motifs. Meanwhile, this lunggi fabric motif group is made with 15 animal motifs. There is also a part that is made by the weaver to see nature and objects in his life, amounting to 22 lunggi motifs.                               Keywords: Terminology, Lunggi Fabric Motifs, Semantics.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan belajar siswa dan faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa pada sub materi invertebrata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan bentuk studi kasus. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 2 di MAN 2 Pontianak yang berjumlah 39 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes diagnostik yang berjumlah 40 soal dan angket yang dilengkapi dengan wawancara guna mengetahui faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa pada sub materi invertebrata. Hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase kesulitan belajar siswa pada sub materi invertebrata sebesar 58,89% yang berada pada kriteria kesulitan cukup tinggi. Faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa pada sub materi invertebrata terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu faktor internal yang meliputiaspekintelegensi (56,40%) dan faktor eksternal yang meliputi aspek keluarga (59,61%), aspek guru (57,04%), dan aspek sekolah (46,16%). Kata kunci: Kesulitan belajar, sub materi invertebrata, faktor penyebab Abstract: This research aims at describing the students? learning difficulties and several factors that cause the difficulties in learning invertebrates sub-materials. This research is a descriptive qualitative research in the form of case study. The subject of this research is 39 students of Grade-10 of MIPA2 in MAN 2 in Pontianak. The research instruments are a diagnostic test of 40 questions and a questionnaire sustained with interviews to determine the factors that cause students? learning difficulties on sub material of invertebrates. The results showed that the percentage of students? learning difficulties in the sub-material of invertebrates reached 58.89%, which is ?quite high? in learning difficulties. There are two factors that cause these learning difficulties: internal factor, which is intellegence aspect (56.40%) and external factors, including the aspects of family (59.61%), teachers (57.04 %), and school (46.16%). Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to describe the implementation of the assignment methodfor cognitive development on 5-6-year-old children in the Kindergarten of Kristen Immanuel I Pontianak Selatan. The research method used was descriptive with aqualitative approach. The subject of research was the teachers and studentsof Kindergarten of Kristen Immanuel I Pontianak Selatan. The data were collectedusing observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The instruments used for data collection were observation guidelines, interview sheets, and documentation tools. The findings showed that the implementation of the selected method has been employed in accordance with the steps in carrying out the activities and tasks given related to the cognitive development of children. Thus, in applying the assignment method, it is suggested that teachers should pay more attention to children who tend to be busy themselves, provide a variety of media so that children do not feel bored, and add play tools that support the learning. Keywords: Assignment Method,  Cognitive Development

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh gambaran yang objektif secara tepat dan akurat mengenai kemampuan siswa mengelola emosi pada kelas XI SMK Negeri 5 Pontianak. Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif.  Bentuk penelitian ini adalah studi survey. populasi yang menjadi sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah sejumlah 193 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 50 siswa. Alat pengumpulan data yang di gunakan adalah angket. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa mengelola emosi mencapai 66,93% termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa belum maksimal dalam kemampuan mengelola emosi dan masih mengekspresikannya secara verbal dan non verbal. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan, Emosi, Mengelola Emosi Abstract: This study aims to gain insight and objective information regarding ability of Students Managing Emotions in Class XI at SMK Negeri 5 Pontianak. The research method used is descriptive method with quantitative. Forms of this research is a survey study. Population in this study is 193 students The sample was 50 students. Data collection tool was a questionnaire.The result showed that the ability of students to Manage Emotions that reached 66.93% included in the categories sufficient This indicates that students have not been up to have the ability to manage emotions and still express it verbally and non verbally. Abstract

AbstractThe research aimed. Analysis impression approaching contextual teaching and learning to mathematics result studying at 4th class elementary school 34 Pontianak City. Method  is was using is experimenal  method. The kind of research is was used is Quasi Experimental Design. Populatin of this research were student 4th class to 197 number sample of this research were student from 4th C to 33 numbers, as experiment class and student from 4th class D to 33 number as control class. Data collecting techniques is were used is measuring techniques. Based on analysis obtaining t count (2,580) > t table (1,670) which alternative hypotesis was accepted. As of can cencluded there were differences studying result between experiment class was using contextual teaching and learning impression and class was used deduktif impression. From calculated result effect siqe aqcuisiton ES as big as  0,46 with medium caractere. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besar korelasi antara nilai rapor dan NEM serta pengaruh gender mata pelajaran IPA siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Kakap antara 2011 dan 2015. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dokumenter daftar nilai rapor dan daftar nilai ujian nasional mata pelajaran IPA. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 57 siswa pertahun yang diambil dengan teknik calculator sample size dan teknik sampling acak sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan korelasi Product-Moment dengan  = 5% = 0,05 ditemukan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang signifikan untuk tahun 2011, 2012, 2013 dan 2015 karena p < 0,05. Tetapi, tidak signifikan untuk tahun 2014, karena p > 0,05 dan dengan menggunakan uji-t pada  = 5% = 0,05 ditemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh gender pada hasil NEM untuk tahun 2011 karena p < 0,0. Tetapi, tidak ada pengaruh gender pada pada hasil NEM tahun 2012-2015 karena p > 0,05.   Kata kunci: Korelasi, Nilai Rapor, NEM Abstract: This research aims to find out what a great correlation is between report scores , NEM and gender influence of a science /exact subject towards the ninth grade of SMP N 1 sungai kakap from 2011 to 2015 the research method used is a documented survey of report scores and NEM of a science subject . The sample of this research is as many as 57 students each years which is taken by using calculator simple size technique and simple random sampling. Based on the analysis result product – moment with  = 5% = 0.05 found that there was a significant correlation for 2011, 2013 to 2015 because p < 0.05 by using t test  = 5% = 0.05 fount that there was a gender influence towards NEM result of academic from 2012 to 2015 because p > 0.05.   Keywords: Correlation, Report Scores, NEM

Abstract

 AbstractThis study aims to analyze the influence of the application of whole language approach of guided reading component of poetry reading skill of grade V students of State Elementary School 14 Pontianak Selatan. The research method used is the experimental method, while the research form used is the sample population. Data collection techniques used in this study is a measurement technique with the scoring of students' poetry reading skills. Based on result of data analysis from mean value of result of pre-test 50 and average post-test 68,517. The result of t test obtained t table on the significant level α = 5% is 2.086. Because t count (16,405) > t table (2,042), then hypothesis testing of post-test data is accepted if t count > t table then alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. From the calculation of effect size (ES), obtained by 0.143 Learning by applying the whole language approach of guided reading component gives a big influence to the poetry reading skill of grade V students of State Elementary School 14 Pontianak Soulth. Keywords: Influence, Whole Language Approach Guided Reading Components, Poetry     Reading Skills

Abstract

Abstract This research begins with the problem of "What are the factors that influence the consumptive behavior of female students of class XII SMAN 1 Singkawang?" With the sub-problems in this study are (1) what are the internal factors in students to behave consumptively ?, (2) What are the external factors in students to behave consumptively? This study aims to determine the internal factors and external factors of students that influence students to consumptive behavior. The form of this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. As for the sample data in this study are female students class XII IPS which amounted to 6 people and teachers of counseling. The age of the studied sample was 17-18 years with female gender and the method of determining the sample using purposive sampling technique. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data were collected using interview and observation instruments. Based on the results of interviews and observations show that the dominant factors in the internal factors are personality, self-concept, and lifestyle, while the dominant factors in external factors are culture, social class, and reference groups. Keywords : Consumptive Behavior Factors
