Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the correlation between discipline, independence, educational interaction, and interest in learning with learning outcomes; the relationship together with learning outcomes; and the percentage of combined contributions to mathematics learning outcomes. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach implemented in class III SD Negeri 07 Pontianak Utara. The number of samples were 84 children. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Determination of the correlation between the four variables namely discipline, independence, educational interaction, and interest in learning with mathematics learning outcomes using simple correlation (r) and the correlation together using the multiple correlation (R) Doo Little technique. The results showed a positive and significant correlation between predictor variables and criterion variables obtained r1y of 0.409, r2y of 0.436, r3y of 0.366, r4y of 0.499, and a joint relationship between predictor variables and learning outcomes obtained R of 0.597 with the largest contribution namely the variable interest in learning by 18%, followed by discipline 11%, independent 5%, educational interaction 1%, and a combined contribution of 36%.Keywords: Discipline, Independence, Educative Interaction, Interest In Learning, Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dari interaksi sosial antar mahasiswi asrama putri Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu di Kota Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi dengan alat pengumpul data panduan observasi dan wawancara serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antar mahasiswi asrama putri Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu di Kota Pontianak sudah terlaksana dengan cukup baik mereka saling menghargai satu sama lain dengan cara menumbuhkan sikap toleransi dan kompromi sehingga tidak menimbulkan permasalahan yang menghambat rutinitas mereka sehari-hari. Interaksi sosial antar mahasiswi asrama menunjukan bahwa interaksi sosial yang berkelompok dan bersifat asosiatif. Interaksi sosial yang berkelompok antar mahasiswi asrama menyebabkan kerjasama belum terjalin dengan baik,  dibuktikan dengan adannya pengelompokan berdasarkan angkatannya maupun berdasarkan blok kamarnya.   Kata kunci : Interaksi Sosial, Mahasiswi, Asrama Abstract: : this research aims to know the form of social interaction of students who live in Kapuas Hulu Regency dormitory in Pontianak City, the approach which used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive method. This research is using observation, interview, and documentation techniques, with the approaching tools are observation, interview, and documentation guidances. The result of this research showed that social interaction among the students were good enough, they appriciated each other by giving sense of tolerance and compromise so that there was no obstacle that bother their daily activity. Social interaction among the students who live in dormitory showed group interaction and associative. The social interaction in group among the students created unwell social interaction among them, it was proved by grouping based on their batch and block of their rooms.   Keywords: Social Interaction, Students, Dormitory

Abstract

AbstractThe background in this research is the student’s adaptive reasoning ability that is still relatively low. Adaptive reasoning ability are influenced by some factors,  one of them is student’s cognitive style. Therefore, adaptive reasoning ability should be analyzed based on student’s cognitive style. This research aims to describe the student’suu adaptive reasoning ability based on cognitive style in quadrilateral at SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. The research method use descriptive method with case study. The subject in this research are four students grade VIII D consist of two reflective cognitive style students and two impulsive cognitive style students. The result of data analysis showed that the adaptive reasoning ability are different depending on their cognitive style.  One of students who has reflective cognitive style can  fulfill five indicator of adaptive reasoning ability and one of other students who has reflective cognitive style can  fulfill four indicator of adaptive reasoning ability. One of students who has impulsive cognitive style can  fulfill four indicator of adaptive reasoning ability and one of other students who has impulsive cognitive style can  fulfill two indicator of adaptive reasoning ability.  Keywords: Adaptive Reasoning Ability, Cognitive Style, Quadrilateral

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to find the cultural content and context in the textbook ?When English Rings A Bell?. The method of this research is content analysis. There was one type of  tool of colecting data in content analysis the researcher used matrix in cultural category based on malay culture perspective and interviewed the owner of Malay culture to get the information in source culture. The study finds that The books present mostly the source culture (Indonesian Culture) in comparison to target culture and international culture. This ratio is quite ideal as English is taught as a Foreign Language thus English textbook in Indonesian context are aimed at focusing more on local content while introducing the learners to the target culture and international.  From the source culture there is 67 %  Pontianak Malay content, it is indicated that the books is compatible in the culture context . Based on Littlejohn framework has  been recomended to be used .   Key Words: Textbook evaluation , Cultural content and context ,   Source    culture. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan konten dan konteks budaya dalam buku ?When English Rings A Bell?. Metode penelitian ini adalah analisis konten. Ada satu jenis alat pengumpul data dalam analisis konten peneliti menggunakan matriks dalam kategori budaya berdasarkan perspektif budaya melayu dan mewawancarai pemilik budaya Melayu untuk mendapatkan informasi dalam budaya sumber. Studi ini menemukan bahwa Buku tersebut menyajikan sebagian besar budaya sumber (Budaya Indonesia) dibandingkan dengan menargetkan budaya (Inggris) dan budaya internasional. Rasio ini cukup ideal sebagai bahasa Inggris diajarkan sebagai bahasa asing sehingga buku teks bahasa Inggris dalam konteks Indonesia ditujukan untuk lebih fokus pada konten lokal sambil memperkenalkan para peserta didik dengan budaya target dan internasional. Dari budaya sumber ada 67% konten Melayu Pontianak, dalam hal ini menunjukkan bahwa buku tersebut kompatibel dalam konteks budaya. Berdasarkan kerangka Littlejohn direkomendasikan untuk digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Kata kunci: Evaluasi buku teks, Konten dan kontek budaya, Budaya sumber

Abstract

Abstract Teachers consider listening skills are easy to learn so it is not so encouraged within teacher makes learning less motivated to look for right media in listening to lessons will be delivered. General objective of this study is to describe use of audio media can improve listening skills of children’s fiction story fifth grade students of SDN 14 South Pontianak. Research method used is descriptive, form of research is Classroom Action Research, the nature of reseach is collaborative. Subjects in this research were students of class V totaling 25 students. This research was conducted as two cycles, result obtained is ability of teachers to design learning using audio media, on first cycle is 3,64 (very good) and second cycle is 3.88 (very good). The ability of teachers to implement learning by using audio media on first cycle 3,31 (good) and second cycle is 3.80 (very good). Calculation result of average value of fiction children's listening skills using audio media, namely 72.05 in first cycle and second cycle is 81.53, with an increase of 9.48. It can be concluded that use of audio media can improve listening skills of children’s fiction story fifth grade students of SDN 14 South Pontianak. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to(1) design an interactive multimedia of midwifery subjectsfor prenatal care practice skills (2) present an interactive multimedia display of midwifery courses  for pregnancy practice skills (3) to discribe the acquisition of student learning outcomes in pregnancy practice skills.this research is a product development research that produces interactive multimedia learning CD  for mastery pregnancy practice skills. The results of the research  are : (1) Multimedia development begins by arranging prescriptions of learning tasks, designing storyboards and followed by depelopment of multimedia learning validated by experts for ensure the quality of multimedia produced. The results show that multimedia is suitable for use as a medium of learning. (2) Multimedia that has been developed is verry appropriate used in conveying practice material of pregnancy examination. (3) Acquisition of learning results obtained showed that students are able to conduct the process of pregnancy examination with a series. It can be concluded that the development of interactive multimedia for the mastery of practical skills of pregnancy examination is very helpful for lecturers and students in the learning process independently.Keywords: Development, interactive, skill practice antenatal care.

Abstract

AbstractMost of students? problems in writing are they haven?t know how to generate and develop the idea. They write based on what in their mind randomly without any technique that can help them to write the ideas and used their thinking skill well. To solve the problem, Diary Writing technique was applied to improve the students? skill in writing recount text. To examine the technique, a pre-experimental research was conducted in MAN 1 Pontianak with tenth grade students as the population and class X IPA 1 as the sample that consisted of 38 students. To gain the data indicating the effect of the technique used pre-test and post-test as the instruments and measurement test was used as the tool of the data collection. Based on the result of hypothesis testing as well as analysis of the effect size, it shows that use of diary writing had a strong effect in teaching writing recount text in MAN 1 Pontianak. Diary writing enabled the students to get more practices in writing and it could help them to elaborate the idea in writing. It was indicated by the improvement of students? writing achievement after getting the treatments. Therefore, this technique is recommended to be implemented in teaching writing recount text. Keywords: Diary Writing, Recount Text, Writing Achievement

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan seberapa besar pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran mind map terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Ambawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design . Dari hasil analisis data posttest menggunakan uji t, diperoleh harga thitung = 0,91 selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan harga ttabel dengan df = 30-1 = 29 dan dengan taraf signifikan (α) = 0,05 diperoleh ttabel = 2,04523. Ternyata thitung ≤ ttabel atau – 0,91 < 2,04523 artinya tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang di beri perlakuan menggunakan metode ekspositori dan metode mind map. Hasil perhitungan harga effect size adalah 0,18. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan metode mind map tidak memberi pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa.   Kata Kunci : Mind Map, Sistem Persamaan linear dua variabel Abstract: the purpose of this study was to describe the influence of an implementation mind mapping method on learning outcomes in material systems of linear equations two variables at grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Ambawang. The methodology was quasi-experimental research design with Non-equivalent Control Group. The results of data analysis were the t test using posttest obtained the value of t-count = 0.91 which was compared to the value of t-table with df = 30-1 = 29 and with a significant level of (α) = 0.05 obtained t-table =2.04523. It was found that t-count ≤ t-table or – 0.91 < 2.04523, which means there is no difference on student learning outcomes whether the treatment using ekspository method or mind mapping method. The calculation result of effect size value was 0.18. Then it could be inferred that mindmapping method did not give significant effect on the learning outcomes of students. Abstract

AbstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa kelas VIII dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar ditinjau berdasarkan kemampuan matematika di MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dalam bentuk studi kasus. Subjek penelitian yaitu 34 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan non tes (wawancara). Secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwakemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa kelas VIII dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi bangun ruang sisi datar ditinjau berdasarkan kemampuan matematika di MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak adalah siswa hanya mampu berada pada tahap indikator transformasi, tetapi siswa masih belum mampu menuliskan ekspresi (bentuk aljabar) dengan benar, belum mampu menuliskan model matematika dan dalam menyelesaikan masalah tidak menuliskan aturan yang digunakan serta tidak menulis kesimpulan. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Berpikir Aljabar, Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita, Kemampuan Matematika.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui self-efficacy guru, hasil belajar siswa serta hubungan antara self-efficacy guru dengan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA se-Kecamatan Sungai Ambawang. Lima guru kimia dan hasil ulangan umum kimia siswa kelas X se-kecamatan Sungai Ambawang menjadi subjek penelitian. Bentuk penelitian adalah deskriptif korelasional. Self-efficacy guru diukur menggunakan angket pernyataan positif, diadaptasi dari instrumen yang dikembangkan peneliti di Ohio State University. Terdiri dari 3 dimensi yaitu manajemen kelas, strategi instruksional, dan keterlibatan siswa. Hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari ulangan umum semester ganjil dan genap tahun 2014/2015. Analisis korelasi diuji menggunakan statistik korelasi Spearman-Brown. Hasil analisis menunjukkan self-efficacy guru dalam kategori tinggi dengan skor rata-rata 98,6. Kemampuan belajar siswa dalam kategori cukup dengan persentase 56,27%. Hubungan self-efficacy guru, dimensi manajemen kelas, strategi instruksional, dan keterlibatan siswa dengan hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan koefisien korelasi berturut-turut 0,900; 0,975; 0,949; 0,900.   Kata Kunci: Self-efficacy, Manajemen, Instruksional, keterlibatan, Hasil belajar. Abstract. This study aims to know teacher?s self-efficacy, students? learning outcome, and relationship between teacher?s self-efficacy and learning outcome of year -10 students senior high school in subdistrict Sungai Ambawang. Five chemistry teachers and chemistry test results of year - 10 students subject of research. Form of research is correlational descriptive. Teachers self-efficacy was investigated using positive statement questionnaire, adapted from instrument developed researchers of Ohio State University. Consists 3 including classroom management, instructional strategy, and student?s engagement. The Student?s test results taken the final test first and second semester in academic years 2014/2015. Correlation analysis was tested using spearman-brown correlation statistic. The result showed teacher?s efficacy was high with average score 98,6. Student?s achievement was in the fair category percentage 56,67%. Correlation between teachers efficacy, dimensions classroom management, instruksional strategy, students engagement, and students? achievement showed positif significant relationship with correlational coefficient in a row 0,900; 0,975; 0,949; 0,900.
