Abstract

This research aims to describe the concept of mathematics, ethnomathematics, and to form learner worksheet through the traditional game of jumping rope. The method used in this research is descriptive method with ethnographic approach. Research data were obtained from observations and interviews. The results showed the existence of mathematical concepts including circles in the form of game tools, straight lines appear when weaving rubber bands, opportunities appear when determining the order of play, counting appears when the guard counts 1 until 10, rectangles appear when two guards hold the rubber rope, triangles appear when players form roofs, trapezoids appear when players form houses, rhombuses appear when players form rhombuses, and kites appear when players form kites. And there are six characteristics of ethnomathematics including counting (counting the number of players in the traditional game of jumping rope), measuring (determining the order of play in the traditional game of jumping rope), designing (making traditional game tools jump rope), locating (position when playing the traditional game of jumping rope), playing (the existence of procedures/rules for playing the traditional game of jumping rope), and explaining (explaining stories about the course of the game, the time when playing, and related mathematical material in the traditional game of jumping rope).

The data analysis technique used in this study were transcription, reduction, classification, analysis, description, and conclusion. Based on the data analysis there were 394 data on the types of coordinate conjunctions (addition, selection, contradiction, correction, affirmation, limitation, sorting, equating, and inference) and 22 errors in the use of coordinate conjunctions. This study provides fantasy story texts and on implementation plan for learning Indonesian in the 2013 curriculum for grade VII semester 1.Keywords: Conjunction, Coordinate Conjunctions, Mata Najwa Talk Show

Abstract

AbstractThe issue in this study is that students' abilities in the 2018 physical fitness exercise material are lacking, resulting in boredom in learning activities and mistakes in practice. The goal of this research was to see if jigsaw cooperative learning improved learning results in class VII students at Junior High School 10 Pontianak for Physical Fitness Gymnastics 2018. Experimental Research was the research approach used. The study's research result are the Physical Fitness Gymnastics 2018 learning outcomes in the pretest (68.4) and posttest (80.28), with an average of the two (79.25) Standard Deviation is the difference between the lowest (65) and highest (88) values (3.94). The data was judged normal after the normality test with the Sig pretest value. Results The data homogeneity is declared homogeneous. If the T test result is 0.05 > 0.00, Ho is rejected. The use of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model had a substantial influence on improving the 2018 physical fitness exercise learning outcomes, according to the results of hypothesis testing, normalcy test, homogeneity test, and discussion. Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Physical Fitness Gymnastics 2018 , Cooperative Learning Type Jigsaw.

AbstractThis study aims to determine the teacher's perception of the impact of using gadgets on children aged 5-6 years in Southeast Pontianak District. In this study, the researcher used a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 40 kindergarten teachers who were randomly selected from 17 kindergartens in Southeast Pontianak. To find out the teacher's perception of the impact of using gadgets on children aged 5-6 years, a closed questionnaire was used. Based on the results of the study, teachers' perceptions of the impact of using gadgets on children aged 5-6 years were divided into two, namely the negative impact and the positive impact. The positive impact of using gadgets is increasing children's motor skills which can be seen from the creativity of drawing, increasing cognitive abilities which can be seen from the increased curiosity of children and gadgets are very helpful in the learning process, especially during the pandemic due to the covid-19 virus. Meanwhile, the negative impact due to the use of gadgets is a decrease in concentration, addiction, a negative impact on language development and social emotional development of children if the use of gadgets is not accompanied by supervision from the child's parents. Keywords: gadget, teacher’s perception

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the traditional congklak game to improve students' arithmetic skills, particularly multiplication, while incorporating positive reinforcement as a motivational tool. Many elementary school students struggle with understanding abstract mathematical concepts, especially multiplication and division. To address this issue, a series of interventions using the congklak game were conducted. The methodology involved four sessions with a fourth-grade student from MI Al-Hidayah Banjarsari. A pre-test assessed the student"™s initial multiplication ability, followed by interventions using congklak, and concluding with a post-test to measure improvement. Throughout the sessions, positive reinforcement"”such as praise and rewards"”was given to maintain the student"™s motivation and focus. The results showed significant progress in the student's ability to perform multiplication, as evidenced by a quicker of problems in the post-test compared to the pre-test. The use of positive reinforcement was effective in maintaining the student"™s motivation during the learning process. In conclusion, the congklak game, combined with positive reinforcement, proved to be an engaging and interactive method for enhancing multiplication skills and could serve as a creative teaching strategy in mathematics education.
