Abstract

This study examines public sentiment, communication governance, and policy implementation of Indonesia’s Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, focusing on Surabaya as a national pilot area. Using a mixed-method approach, the research combines social media sentiment analysis and qualitative interviews. A total of 476,859 social media conversations collected between February and March 2025 were analyzed using the BERT model. The findings show that 52.4% of responses were negative, 32.3% neutral, and 15.2% positive. Negative sentiments mainly relate to delayed wage payments, food safety concerns, and transparency issues, indicating communication gaps and declining public trust. Meanwhile, positive sentiments emphasize support for improving children’s nutrition, family welfare, and social equity. The implementation of MBG in Surabaya reflects a centralized yet participatory governance model. Coordination between the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and local governments is essential but constrained by limited resources and uneven kitchen readiness. Schools and parents demonstrate strong support for the program. Additionally, the Simanis Application supports monitoring and evaluation, reflecting the adoption of digital governance principles that enhance transparency and accountability. Overall, effective communication, coordination, and community participation are crucial for strengthening public trust and ensuring the sustainability of the MBG program.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a strategic role in Indonesia’s economic development, yet many face persistent challenges in transforming internal resources into sustainable firm performance. This study aims to examine the strategic role of organizational learning in linking internal capabilities and firm performance among Indonesian SMEs. Using a qualitative research design, this study adopts a library research approach combined with content analysis to synthesize recent scholarly literature on organizational learning, internal capabilities, and SME performance. The analysis focuses on key dimensions of internal capabilities, including managerial competence, innovation capability, operational flexibility, and knowledge management, and how these capabilities are strengthened through organizational learning processes such as knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, experimentation, and continuous improvement. The findings indicate that organizational learning plays a mediating and strategic role in transforming internal capabilities into improved firm performance. SMEs that foster a strong learning culture demonstrate higher levels of innovation, adaptability, and productivity in dynamic business environments. The study contributes to the strategic management and SME literature by highlighting organizational learning as a critical mechanism for enhancing resource utilization and long-term competitiveness. Practically, the findings provide insights for SME managers and policymakers to design capacity-building programs and knowledge-based development strategies that support sustainable SME growth in emerging economies

Abstract

The increase in internet penetration in Indonesia has led to increasingly fierce competition in the internet service provider industry, especially with the arrival of satellite-based services such as Starlink, which offers high-speed technology and wide coverage. This situation requires local internet service providers to improve their technological competitiveness through appropriate strategies. This study aims to analyze the influence of managerial relationship capabilities and marketing innovation on technological competitiveness with the mediating role of customer value. The study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 150 respondents who are internet service users. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using SmartPLS-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the study indicate that managerial relationships and marketing innovation do not directly affect technological competitiveness. However, both variables have an indirect effect through customer value as a mediating variable. Customer value is also proven to have a positive and significant effect on technological competitiveness. These findings confirm that the creation of customer value is a key factor in enhancing technology-based competitive advantage in the telecommunications industry. Therefore, companies need to focus their managerial strategies and marketing innovation on efforts to increase perceived customer value in order to maintain competitiveness amid increasingly dynamic technological competition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership and organizational culture on teacher performance through job satisfaction at SMA Negeri 1 Nabire. The research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population consisted of all teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Nabire totaling 56 respondents, who were also used as the research sample. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on both job satisfaction and teacher performance, while organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction but does not directly affect teacher performance. Job satisfaction is found to have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance and acts as a mediating variable in the research model. Job satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and teacher performance and fully mediates the relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance. These findings suggest that improving teacher performance is influenced not only by leadership and organizational culture but also by the level of teachers’ job satisfaction. Therefore, strengthening transformational leadership and fostering an organizational culture that enhances teachers’ job satisfaction are important strategies for improving teacher performance, particularly in schools located in areas with limited resources.

Abstract

Beam-column joints must be designed to be sufficiently strong and capable of withstanding shear forces (horizontal) and factored vertical forces resulting from theiformation of plastic hinges at the beam ends when seismic forces act. The use of stirrups as reinforcement between columns and beams aims to ensure effective force transfer and prevent cracking or structural damage. However, in practice, several challenges are often encountered that may hinder the implementation process. This study employs an experimental method, where direct testing of specimens is conducted to analyze their behavior. The experimental results, including cracking, load, and Deformation, are analyzed to obtain values for strength, ductility, energyidissipation, and joint capacity. Based on the test results, specimen BJ-2 demonstrated a 51.30% increase in capacity compared to specimen BJ-1. However, in terms of ductility, BJ-1 had a higher average value of 3.59, while BJ-2 had a value of 2.8. Regarding energy dissipation, BJ-1 had a lower value of 0.12831 compared to BJ-2, which reached 0.15069. Both specimens experienced initial cracking, first yielding, and ultimate conditions. Additionally, the joint capacity of specimen BJ-2 was 1.7 times greater than that of specimen BJ-1.

Abstract

Social media has revolutionized modern communication, profoundly affecting daily life, including marital relationships. While technology has enhanced connectivity, its influence on marriage can be complex. This study explores the interplay between social media use and marital satisfaction among Jammu and Kashmiri couples, focusing on communication, trust, and relationship quality. Using a qualitative case study approach with thematic analysis, insights from nine married couples across four districts in South Kashmir reveal varied experiences, highlighting both positive impacts and challenges such as emotional distance and conflict. The findings demonstrate that social media serves dual roles: maintaining family bonds across distances while potentially causing technoference, trust issues, and addiction when boundaries are absent. Successful couples employ open communication, transparency, and mutual boundary-setting to navigate digital challenges. The study emphasizes the need for balanced social media use within marriages and provides evidence-based recommendations for couples, counselors, and policymakers to foster healthy, resilient relationships in the digital age while considering the unique socio-cultural context of Jammu and Kashmir.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the role of BerAKHLAK work culture in accordance with the MENPAN-RB letter number 20 year 2021 on the employee performance with the adaptability after the equalization position from stuctrural to functional as a mediation variable within the Bontang City Government. Method: It is a quantitative research using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire survey approach. A sample of 82 employees ASN who experienced equalization of positions was selected according to purposive sampling criteria. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with outer model, inner model, and bootstrapping testing. Result: The work culture did not have a big impact directly on performance (p-value 0.853), but it did have a big impact and significant effect on adaptability (p-value 0.001). Adaptability has a positive and significant effect on performance (p-value 0.000) and acts as a full mediator of the relationship between work culture and performance (p-value 0.000) with a contribution to explaining 81.3% of the variance in performance. Practical Implications for Economic Growth and Human Capital Development: Strengthening employee adaptation capacity with a training, coaching, mentoring, and a 360 degree feedback system is a key strategy for improving performance. This has an impact on the efficiency of public services, the optimization of professional human resources, the attractiveness of investment, and the growth of the MSME sector and creative industries in Bontang City as a partner area of the Ibu Kota Nusantara, the new capital city of Indonesia. Novelty: This study reveals the BerAKHLAK work culture does not have a direct impact on performance in the context of the Bontang City Government, because a strong local work culture has been embedded first (such as the slogan "extraordinary, professional, dignified"), so that adaptability is the only mechanism for channeling cultural influence on performance in the context of bureaucratic reform of equalization of positions.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the gap between the demands for strengthening critical thinking and sustainability principles and the practice of science education in elementary schools, which has not been systematically integrated with local culture. Although the potential of ethnoscience and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) values is considerable, learning modules that explicitly combine local culture, sustainability, and critical thinking indicators in a coherent pedagogical framework are still limited. This study aims to analyze the development of an Ethno-ESD module as a basis for designing teaching tools that support the strengthening of critical thinking in elementary school students. The research uses a qualitative approach with a needs analysis design through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data sources come from teachers and fourth-grade students at SDN 4 Sumelap and science learning tool documents. The results show that the integration of local cultural values and ESD in learning is still implicit and not yet structured in terms of objectives, activities, and assessments, so that critical thinking indicators have not developed optimally. This study recommends the development of an Ethno-ESD module that is systematically designed to include the context of local ethnoscience, the explicit integration of sustainability values, and activities and assessments based on critical thinking indicators. This study has an impact on strengthening science learning design that is more contextual, reflective, and sustainability-oriented, as well as providing a conceptual contribution to the integration of ethnoscience, ESD, and critical thinking development at the elementary school level.
