Abstract

Household electricity consumption is shaped by demographic and economic dynamics, yet these factors may operate through different mechanisms, particularly in highly urbanized regions. This study examines the effects of population density and economic growth on household electricity consumption in Java, Indonesia, with household electricity customers as a mediating variable. Panel data from six provinces covering 2020–2024 were analyzed using panel data regression with 30 observations. The Random Effect Model (REM) was selected for Model 1, while the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) was selected for Model 2, and mediation was tested using the Sobel test. The results show that population density has a positive and significant effect on household electricity consumption but does not significantly affect household customers. Economic growth has a positive and significant effect on household customers but does not have a significant direct effect on household electricity consumption. Household customers have a positive and significant effect on household electricity consumption and fully mediate the relationship between economic growth and electricity consumption. No significant mediation is found between population density and electricity consumption. These findings indicate that population density primarily increases electricity-use intensity, whereas economic growth influences household electricity consumption through the expansion of the household customer base.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Institutional Ownership, Trading Volume Activity (TVA), Total Asset Turnover (TATO), and Leverage on Stock Returns, with Profitability serving as a control variable. The research objects were companies in the industrial sector listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) during the six-year observation period from 2019 to 2024. The study population consisted of 22 industrial sector companies. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling method based on predetermined criteria, resulting in 132 firm-year observations. Multiple linear regression analysis was employed to examine the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. Prior to hypothesis testing, descriptive statistical analysis and classical assumption tests were conducted to ensure the adequacy of the data and the regression model. The results indicate that Institutional Ownership, Trading Volume Activity, Total Asset Turnover, and Leverage simultaneously have a significant effect on Stock Returns. Partially, Institutional Ownership has a significant negative effect on Stock Returns, while Trading Volume Activity and Total Asset Turnover have significant positive effects on Stock Returns. Meanwhile, Leverage has no significant effect on Stock Returns.

Abstract

The development of the digital economy has encouraged the emergence of sustainable content creator MSMEs , whose business characteristics and income patterns differ from those of conventional MSMEs. This study aims to develop the GCC-SF ( Green Content Creator-Syariah Financing ) Framework as a profit-sharing Sharia financing framework that aligns with the characteristics of digital businesses and their sustainability orientation. The study used a mixed methods approach with a qualitative stage through interviews with business actors and NVivo analysis, followed by a survey analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results show that digital business characteristics, sustainability orientation, and financing needs have a positive and significant influence on the suitability of profit-sharing Sharia financing. The qualitative data also demonstrate the importance of financing flexibility, risk sharing, transparency, and support for sustainable activities. The research results form the basis for developing the GCC-SF Framework as a financing model that is more adaptive to the development of the digital economy and the needs of sustainable businesses.

Abstract

The consolidation of Indonesia's state-owned survey and assurance enterprises under a single holding structure has created an urgent human capital challenge: integrating workforces with different organizational histories, career expectations, and professional identities. This study examines the role of inclusive strategic human resource management (ISHRM) in shaping employee satisfaction and employee performance at PT SUCOFINDO, Indonesia's oldest testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) company, and tests employee satisfaction as a mediating mechanism. Grounded in social exchange theory and the Ability–Motivation–Opportunity framework, the study adopts an explanatory quantitative design. Data were collected from permanent employees through questionnaires using proportionate stratified random sampling and analyzed with partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), with ISHRM modeled as a reflective-reflective higher-order construct consisting of six dimensions. Results indicate that ISHRM significantly influences both employee satisfaction and employee performance, that satisfaction significantly influences performance, and that satisfaction complementarily partially mediates the ISHRM–performance relationship. Among the six dimensions, fairness of compensation and career progression together with participation in decision-making emerge as the weakest-scoring yet most influential, suggesting that inclusion in state-owned professional service firms is constrained less by formal policy than by the seniority logic embedded in career governance. The study extends inclusion-based HRM research into the state-owned assurance services context and offers prioritized guidance for human capital divisions operating under post-consolidation integration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of servicescape, service quality, and product quality on Honda motorcycle purchasing decisions at the PT Capella Dinamik Nusantara 88 (PT CDN 88) dealer in Pekanbaru. The background of the study is based on the phenomenon of a decline in PT CDN 88's sales volume from an average of 431 units per month (2024) to 360 units per month (2025), even though the Honda motorcycle market in Riau as a whole grew positively to 170 thousand units. Initial analysis of 881 Google Reviews showed 78 negative reviews, where the highest complaints concerned service quality (57%), followed by product quality (14%), and servicescape (3%). This study used a quantitative approach with a Likert-based questionnaire instrument. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique on a population of 9,500 Honda motorcycle buyers at PT CDN 88 for the period 2024–2025, and obtained 170 respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results of the instrument test showed that all items were valid and reliable. The classical assumption test was met (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity). The t-test results showed that servicescape had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (t count = 2.749; sig. = 0.007), service quality had a positive and significant effect (t count = 5.493; sig. = 0.000), and product quality had a positive and significant effect (t count = 4.738; sig. = 0.000). The F test showed that the three variables simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (F count = 128.734; sig. = 0.000). The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) of 0.694 indicated that the three variables were able to explain 69.4% of the variation in purchasing decisions, while the remaining 30.6% was influenced by other variables outside the model. The regression equation obtained was: Y = −1.681 + 0.273X₁ + 0.435X₂ + 0.304X₃.

Abstract

This study analyzes the investment opportunities and challenges in Indonesia's mining sector amid volatile global commodity prices and shifting macroeconomic conditions in 2025-2026. Despite its strategic role as a source of foreign exchange, state revenue, and downstream mineral industry development, the mining sector's contribution to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product declined from over twelve percent in 2022 to below nine percent in 2025, becoming the only major economic sector to contract even as national economic growth remained solid. Using a descriptive qualitative method based on secondary data from government publications, stock exchange authorities, and financial media, this study examines the sector's macroeconomic environment, the financial performance of listed mining companies, and the interaction between commodity cycles and monetary policy. The results show divergent performance across subsectors, with gold and nickel producers recording strong profit growth while coal producers faced declining revenue amid weaker global coal prices; despite short-term market corrections, foreign investors continued net buying of selected mining stocks, reflecting sustained long-term confidence. The analysis identifies mineral downstreaming, the global energy transition, digitalization, and government policy support as the main investment opportunities, while global economic uncertainty, commodity price fluctuation, regulatory change, and environmental and governance risks remain the principal challenges. The study concludes that Indonesia's mining sector offers a high-risk, high-return investment profile best suited to investors with a medium- to long-term horizon, and recommends portfolio diversification across commodity subsectors, close monitoring of macroeconomic indicators and regulatory developments, and a gradual investment strategy to manage short-term price volatility

Abstract

Smallholder cocoa productivity in Indonesia remains low, and the PsPSP cultural-control package (frequent harvesting, pruning, sanitation, fertilisation) is usually evaluated as a single bundle, so adoption of its individual components is rarely reported. This study describes adoption of the PsPSP components and their relationship with productivity and farm feasibility among smallholder cocoa farmers in Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi. Data were collected from 92 respondents across five cocoa-producing sub-districts. The sample was drawn with the Slovin formula from 1,165 mapped cocoa garden polygons, stratified by land cover and land suitability. Distributions are reported as medians with interquartile ranges. Only two components could be quantified, and adoption was uneven: fertilization was almost universal (91.3%) but overwhelmingly inorganic (organic fertilization only 7.6%), whereas pruning was practiced by fewer than half of the respondents (47.8%). Garden sanitation and frequent harvesting could not be quantified because these variables were not recorded. Median productivity was 226 kg/ha/year, less than one third of the smallholder average reported previously. Tree populations fell below the recommendation for 93.4% of respondents, while median stand age was only 11 years, indicating that planting density rather than stand age is the binding constraint. The enterprise is feasible on a cash cost basis (R/C 4.51), but only because reference cash costs are low; with a median garden of 0.44 ha the income actually received had a median of IDR 1.97 million per year, far below the provincial minimum wage. Production figures are self-reported, as 98.4% of producing respondents keep no farm records.

Abstract

The transition toward a healthy and sustainable food system requires a better understanding of the factors influencing consumers’ organic food choices. This study examines the effects of health consciousness and perceived value on organic food purchase intention, with attitude as a mediating variable. A quantitative survey was conducted among 110 consumers in Surakarta, Indonesia, using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that attitude significantly influences purchase intention. Health consciousness positively affects both attitude and purchase intention, while perceived value significantly influences attitude and purchase intention. Furthermore, attitude significantly mediates the relationships between health consciousness and purchase intention, as well as between perceived value and purchase intention. Importance-Performance Map Analysis identifies perceived value as the highest-priority area for improvement because it demonstrates high importance but relatively lower performance. The findings suggest that strategies to promote organic food consumption should strengthen consumers’ perceptions of health, quality-of-life, emotional, and environmental benefits relative to price while maintaining positive attitudes toward organic products. By encouraging healthier and more sustainable consumption patterns, this study contributes to the achievement of SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors influencing Generation Z’s intention toward digital halal green consumption in West Java by integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). A quantitative survey was conducted involving 383 Muslim Generation Z respondents in West Java who had purchased halal and environmentally friendly products through digital platforms. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that knowledge of halal and concern for halal significantly influence attitude. Perceived ease of use significantly affects perceived usefulness and attitude, while perceived usefulness influences attitude. Furthermore, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control not significantly affect behavioral intention. Knowledge of halal also has a significant positive effect on behavioral intention. These findings indicate that the integration of TPB, TAM, and halal-related factors provides a framework for explaining Generation Z’s digital halal green consumption intention.

Abstract

Sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools presents distinctive challenges because perpetrators may exploit institutional authority, religious legitimacy, and victims’ dependence to facilitate repeated abuse and suppress disclosure. This study examines the judicial application of Indonesia’s Law Number 12 of 2022 on Sexual Violence Crimes in Decision Number 242/Pid.Sus/2024/PN Mkd and evaluates whether the judgment reflects a victim-centered criminal policy. This doctrinal legal research employs statutory, case, and conceptual approaches. Legal materials are analyzed through grammatical, systematic, and teleological interpretation using four indicators: accuracy of offense construction, recognition of power relations, proportionality of sentencing, and fulfillment of victims’ rights. The study finds that applying Article 6(c) in conjunction with Article 15(1) recognizes the abuse of religious and institutional authority, the vulnerability and dependence of female students, repeated conduct, and multiple victims. The sentence and restitution order demonstrate an emerging victim-oriented approach. Nevertheless, the judgment alone does not establish whether restitution and psychological and social recovery were effectively implemented. The study proposes an integrated criminal policy combining judicial accountability, victim recovery, institutional complaint mechanisms, and state supervision of Islamic boarding schools.
