Abstract

In the era of technological advancement, geography education is evolving through digital transformation. This study aims to develop simulation media using 3D ArcScene to support immersive learning in the context of disaster mitigation, particularly flood disasters. By providing realistic 3D representations, the media helps students better understand flood scenarios and appropriate mitigation strategies. The development follows a Research and Development (R&D) approach with quantitative methods, focusing on improving student competencies in geography-related subjects such as land use, meteorology, climatology, and environmental ecology. The study specifically models flood-prone areas in Sanggau Regency, producing interactive visualizations that can be integrated into disaster geography courses. The goal is to enhance student engagement and comprehension through immersive and technology-based learning experiences. Ultimately, this simulation media is expected to serve as an effective tool for building student awareness and resilience, as well as contributing to the advancement of immersive educational resources in disaster mitigation efforts.

Abstract

The School Driver Program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology aims to enhance the quality of education through school transformation. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design to understand the principal's strategies in implementing the School Driver Program at SMA Negeri 1 Kelam Permai. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews and direct observations, while secondary data were collected from relevant documents. The findings indicate that the principal plays a central role in the planning and implementation processes of the program. The success of this program is influenced by several factors, including systematic planning and close collaboration with all stakeholders. The measurable positive impacts on academic achievement and student participation suggest that this program is worthy of continuation and further development.

Abstract

This study explores the educational potential and challenges in Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan, using a SWOT analysis to identify strategies for improving the Human Development Index (HDI) in the education sector. The research emphasizes the importance of education in Kubu Raya's socio-economic development, focusing on inclusive education, infrastructure accessibility, and teacher competence. While the region has made notable advancements in educational infrastructure and programs, issues such as low average years of schooling, inadequate access to education facilities, and uneven internet distribution persist. The study's findings suggest that collaboration with external parties, strengthening teacher development, and leveraging information and communication technology (ICT) can significantly enhance education outcomes in Kubu Raya. These strategies align with the West Kalimantan Governor Regulation No. 98 of 2022, which provides a framework for accelerating regional HDI improvements. The research concludes by offering policy recommendations to complement sustainable educational development and inclusivity in Kubu Raya Regency.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan tujuan fundamental dalam sistem pendidikan nasional, khususnya pada jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) yang berada pada fase perkembangan remaja awal. Pendidikan seni, khususnya pendidikan tari, memiliki potensi strategis dalam membentuk karakter siswa melalui pengalaman belajar yang bersifat aktif, kolaboratif, dan reflektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran pendidikan tari, khususnya pembelajaran Tari Jepin Langkah, sebagai sarana pembentukan karakter siswa di SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru seni tari, dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Tari Jepin Langkah berperan nyata dalam membentuk karakter disiplin, kerja sama, tanggung jawab, empati, dan percaya diri siswa. Pendidikan tari terbukti tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media ekspresi estetis, tetapi juga sebagai sarana pembinaan nilai-nilai karakter dalam konteks pembelajaran formal di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of differentiated learning in the classroom carried out by driving teachers in Sambas District. The implementation of differentiated learning studied from driving teachers includes the ability to compile teaching modules and carry out differentiated learning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the subject of the study being a driving teacher who teaches in four elementary schools in Sambas District. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using the Miles and Hubermen models. Triangulation is carried out by member check and technical triangulation. The results of the study showed that the driving teachers had prepared very well differentiated learning teaching modules, according to the learning plan components obtained a score of 97.57%. Carrying out the learning process was carried out very well, starting from the opening activities, core activities, and closing activities with a score of 94.92%. This study concludes that the pedagogic competence of driving teachers in Sambas District is very good in implementing differentiated learning according to the demands of the Merdeka curriculum.

Abstract

Final-year students frequently encounter academic anxiety as a result of the pressures associated with completing their thesis. This research aimed to examine the level of academic anxiety among final-year students with a focus on gender differences. A quantitative research method was utilized through a survey approach, involving 196 final-year students from Lambung Mangkurat University. Data collection was conducted using an academic anxiety scale adapted from Ottens. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistical methods and the Mann-Whitney U Test. The findings revealed no statistically significant difference in overall academic anxiety levels between male and female students. Nevertheless, female students were observed to experience higher levels of physiological distress in comparison to their male peers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide a description and analysis of Darul Mafaza's curriculum planning which focuses on the integration of Islamic values, as well as its implementation methods through religious character-based learning and the Pancasila and Rahmatan Lil Alamin Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5RA). In this institution, the integrative curriculum aims to eliminate the differences between general knowledge and religious knowledge. Descriptive qualitative research was used, and data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Islamic boarding school leaders, general subject teachers, diniyah teachers, and students were the research informants. Data were analyzed using the reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing methods. The results of the study indicate that: (1) Curriculum planning is carried out systematically through synchronizing Basic Competencies (KD) with the values of the Qur'an and Hadith in the internal MGMP forum, which are included in the integrative RPP; (2) The implementation of learning emphasizes exemplary methods, internalization of values in the substance of the material, and habituation of worship; and (3) The implementation of P5RA serves as a means of strengthening student character, combining a spirit of nationalism with a spirit of piety. This study found that students had a better spiritual understanding after implementing Islamic values at Darul Mafaza. They also felt more motivated to learn and had better scientific ethics.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (MMP) policy at the State Kindergarten Pembina in Kapuas Hulu Regency, focusing on improving teacher performance. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The participants in this study consist of 8 individuals, including school supervisors, the principal, the vice principal, and teachers, with ages ranging from 30 to 57 years, all of whom are female. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and document analysis.The main findings of this research indicate that the socialization of the MMP policy has been carried out effectively, and the teachers demonstrate a high understanding of the benefits of this platform. The active participation of teachers in training and learning communities contributes to the enhancement of their competencies. An evaluation of the effectiveness of the MMP policy shows positive impacts, with significant increases in teacher motivation and performance, as well as improved student learning outcomes, reflected in better average scores and a decrease in dropout rates.The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of the MMP policy at the State Kindergarten Pembina in Kapuas Hulu Regency has successfully improved teacher performance and the quality of learning. The implications of this study can contribute to the development of more effective and responsive educational policies that address the needs of both teachers and students within the MMP framework. Keywords: Policy, Merdeka Mengajar Platform, Performance AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis implementasi kebijakan pemanfaatan Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) di TK Negeri Pembina Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, dengan fokus peningkatan kinerja guru. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Partisipan penelitiannya terdiri dari 8 orang, yakni pengawas sekolah, kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan guru, dengan rentang usia antara 30 hingga 57 tahun, yang terdiri dari jenis kelamin perempuan. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Temuan utama penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi kebijakan PMM telah dilakukan dengan baik, dan guru-guru menunjukkan pemahaman yang tinggi terhadap manfaat platform ini. Partisipasi aktif guru dalam pelatihan dan komunitas belajar berkontribusi pada peningkatan kompetensi mereka. Evaluasi terhadap efektivitas kebijakan PMM menunjukkan dampak positif, dengan peningkatan motivasi dan kinerja guru yang signifikan, serta hasil belajar siswa yang meningkat, tercermin dari nilai rata-rata yang lebih baik dan penurunan angka ketidaklulusan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa implementasi kebijakan PMM di TK Negeri Pembina Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu berhasil meningkatkan kinerja guru dan kualitas pembelajaran. Implikasinya dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan yang lebih efektif dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan guru dan siswa dalam PMM. Abstract

This study focuses on the immersion foreign language development program at an Islamic boarding school in Pasuruan, examining how EFL students use metacognitive reading strategies and how these relate to their reading achievement. Quantitative data were collected from an adapted Survey of Reading Strategies (SORS) and reading scores of 58 students from two assessments (the language program and an independent observer). The findings indicate that students generally view themselves as frequent users of metacognitive strategies, supported by a mean SORS score of 3.7, with the highest use in Problem-Solving strategies (M = 4.026). However, no significant correlation was found between Problem-Solving strategies and reading achievement. In contrast, significant relationships emerged between language program test scores and specific strategies such as Overviewing, Guessing, and Information Dealing. The study emphasizes the need to integrate metacognitive strategy training into reading instruction to support comprehension and learner autonomy among EFL students in boarding school environments.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the influence of the quality of administrative services and parental academic expectations on parents' perceptions at SMA Negeri 1 Tayan Hulu. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with a correlational design, where data is collected through questionnaires distributed to the parents of students at the school. The respondents in this study are the parents of students from grades 10, 11, and 12, with a total population of 85 parents, of which 70 parents were selected as samples using the Slovin method. Data was collected through a questionnaire that utilized a Likert scale, designed to measure parents' perceptions of the quality of administrative services and their children's academic expectations. The results of the study indicate that the quality of administrative services has a significant positive influence on parents' perceptions, with 97.1% of respondents feeling that the quality of services provided is very good. Additionally, parental academic expectations also significantly influence their perceptions, with 98.6% of parents having high academic expectations for their children. The conclusion of this study is that both the quality of administrative services and academic expectations have a positive and significant influence on parents' perceptions, where good service quality and high academic expectations can enhance parental involvement in their children's education. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas layanan administrasi dan harapan akademik orang tua terhadap persepsi orang tua di SMA Negeri 1 Tayan Hulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasi ganda, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada orang tua siswa di SMA tersebut. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua siswa dari kelas 10, 11, dan 12, dengan total populasi sebanyak 85 orang tua, di mana 70 orang tua dipilih sebagai sampel menggunakan metode Slovin. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang menggunakan skala Likert, dirancang untuk mengukur persepsi orang tua terhadap kualitas layanan administrasi dan harapan akademik anak-anak mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas layanan administrasi memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap persepsi orang tua, dengan 97,1% responden merasa bahwa kualitas layanan yang diberikan sangat baik. Selain itu, harapan akademik orang tua juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap persepsi mereka, di mana 98,6% orang tua memiliki harapan akademik yang tinggi terhadap anak-anak mereka. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa baik kualitas layanan administrasi maupun harapan akademik memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap persepsi orang tua, di mana kualitas layanan yang baik dan harapan akademik yang tinggi dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan orang tua dalam pendidikan anak.
