Abstract

According to UNESCO, around 258 million children and adolescents worldwide lacked access to education in 2020, most of whom are in developing countries. In Indonesia, while cities like Bogor have good access to education, villages such as Benteng in Bogor Regency still face challenges in educational development, especially in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Social Studies (IPS), and Digitalization. This community service program aims to enhance education quality through interactive learning approaches, including four main programs: ELEVEN (English Learning and Vocabulary ENhancement), Back2Math (Back to Basic Math), Jelajah Duniaku, and DigiKidz. The program employs hands-on training methods, educational games, and game card method to enrich vocabulary, mathematical concepts, social insights, and digital skills. The results show significant improvement in students' academic abilities across all subjects taught. This program also produces learning modules that can be used sustainably by local teachers and communities.

Abstract

Tofu UMKM in Getas Hamlet has great potential to grow, but still faces various challenges in product marketing, especially in the digital era. The lack of utilization of branding and digital marketing strategies causes tofu products to be less well-known in the wider market. This study aims to improve the understanding and assistance of tofu UMKM actors in developing effective branding and digital marketing strategies. The method used in this study is a qualitative- descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and training of UMKM actors. The results of the study show that with intensive assistance, UMKM actors are able to understand the importance of branding, create attractive marketing content, and optimize the use of social media and e- commerce to increase product competitiveness. The implementation of the right digital marketing strategy contributes to increasing sales and expanding market reach. Thus, digital marketing branding assistance can be an effective solution in developing tofu UMKM in Getas Hamlet to be more competitive in the digital era. The era of digital marketing through social media has a great influence on increasing sales and market reach. However, the lack of understanding in making photos, videos, and digital marketing strategies makes it difficult for UMKM to reach more consumers and compete with other products. To overcome these problems, a comprehensive strategy is needed, the first step is to create an attractive logo and packaging design as part of branding.

Abstract

Educational technology helps facilitate the learning process and improve student performance by utilizing the right technology. This is important to accelerate learning and assist teachers in time management. Educational technology includes the development of tools that can improve learning abilities and use test results as indicators of student achievement, interesting learning media can motivate students to be more active. On December 5, 2023, at the Sanggar Bimbingan Kamus Gombak Utara, I conducted a socialization about computer hardware for fifteen grade VI students. Before the activity, students had difficulty understanding technology, especially the basics of computer components. To overcome this, I used a media-based learning method, which helped students recognize hardware visually. The results were very satisfying, with an increase in the average student score from 38.75 to 88.75, this means an increase of 50 points (129%). The type of media used was labeled illustration images, which aimed to show the various components of computer hardware along with their names and descriptions. This labeling activity was added to increase interactivity, where students were invited to meet the names of the components with the corresponding images. This approach helps students better recognize and understand computer hardware. This activity also includes presentations and discussions on Information and Communication Technology (ICT). With interactive methods, students are expected to be better prepared to face future challenges and be able to utilize technology for better communication and access to information.

Abstract

This community engagement program aimed to provide assistance to local MSME actors in marketing banana chips products through social media in Dukuh Kowang, Senepo Village, Slahung District, Ponorogo. The activities included training on digital marketing theory, practical sessions on creating engaging content, and advertising strategies. The implementation method involved needs assessment surveys, planning, hands-on training, and monitoring. Evaluation results showed increased participants' understanding and improved digital skills. Social media followers grew by 24% on TikTok. This program differs from similar initiatives by applying a participatory approach and contextual strategies suited to rural areas. Practical implications include increased confidence among MSME actors in marketing their products digitally and the establishment of sustainable marketing patterns. The program also opens up opportunities for enhancing the local economy. However, challenges such as low digital literacy and limited technological access remain. Continued support and follow-up mentoring are necessary to ensure that the MSMEs can continue to grow independently.

Abstract

Puger Kulon Village demonstrates exceptional potential in the fisheries sector, offering significant opportunities for community economic enhancement. The diversity of fishermen's catches positions the village as a prospective center for sustainable fisheries product downstream processing. Nevertheless, limited human resource awareness regarding downstream processing concepts and insufficient management of fisheries economic zones constitute primary barriers to development. The objective of this community service program is to provide assistance in maritime area governance through downstream processing of superior products to strengthen sustainable village development using blue economy principles. The implementation stages encompass maritime area governance mapping, development of participatory coastal management options involving multiple stakeholders (residents, village government, tourism awareness groups, village-owned enterprises, and private sector), and enhancement of human resource competencies in processed fishery product creation and branding strategies. The anticipated outcome is the establishment of maritime area governance in Puger Kulon Village that effectively utilizes existing potential.

Abstract

Insufficient public knowledge about appropriate medication use, storage, and disposal practices poses significant health risks and environmental hazards. This community service program sought to enhance understanding of the Dagusibu concept (obtain, use, store, dispose) among PKK mothers in Bumi Mondoroko Raya, Singosari, Malang. The intervention employed pre-test questionnaires, interactive presentations, and question-and-answer sessions involving 13 participants. Pre-test findings revealed substantial misconceptions: eight participants (62%) perceived paracetamol solely as an antipyretic, four participants (31%) deemed household waste disposal acceptable for all expired medications, and three participants (23%) believed antibiotics were available for purchase at local stalls. Following the educational intervention and discussion sessions, participants demonstrated accurate identification of paracetamol's multiple therapeutic indications, appropriate disposal protocols for expired medications, and prescription requirements for antibiotic acquisition. The program successfully enhanced community knowledge regarding rational medication use and household pharmaceutical management. Educational leaflets were disseminated as follow-up materials, with plans established for ongoing monitoring of household medication storage practices.
