Abstract

Hajj simulation (manasik haji) for early childhood is a simplified learning activity designed to introduce children to the rituals of Hajj while teaching religious values such as piety, cooperation, and independence. This partnership is a collaborative effort involving parents in various educational activities, both at school and at home. This study aims to explore the role of parents in supporting the implementation of Hajj simulation activities at RA Raudhatul Faizin. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documents. The findings show that parents who were actively involved in preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the activities helped children to understand and enjoy the experience. However, there were challenges such as time constraints and limited understanding among some parents. This study recommends the need for better communication and training for parents to ensure that these activities run more smoothly in the future.

Abstract

Fatherless is a term that refers to a condition when a child does not have the presence, care, or role of a father. One of the causes of fatherlessness is caused by divorce, which results in the child being separated from their father. The absence of the father's role can have a negative impact on children. One of them is in terms of academic and social skills. This study aims to determine the impact of the fatherless phenomenon after divorce on the behavior and academic abilities of children aged 5-11 years in one of the sub-districts in North Lombok Regency. This research is a type of qualitative research with the number of respondents in this study were 8 mothers. The results of the research in terms of the behavior of children who experience fatherlessness are that children do not have attachment to their fathers, children's independence is not optimal, and children's emotional control is still low. Meanwhile, in terms of academic ability, children who experience fatherlessness are children who cannot focus on learning due to negative emotions such as shame, anger, and low self-control. Children who experience fatherlessness also experience failure in subjects and have low motivation to learn. Children who feel loss and severe disappointment psychologically towards the role of the father then result in a decrease in learning achievement at school. So it is necessary to do socialization to parents to provide an understanding of the importance of the father's role in parenting.

Abstract

The use of Android smartphones is predominant in schools, including in Islamic Education (PAI) subjects. Studies show that smartphones are frequently used in learning, but they also contribute to gaming addiction among students. Banning smartphone use is not always effective; however, if utilized properly, they can offer significant benefits. Criticism of PAI in schools includes an overemphasis on memorization, particularly in history lessons. Research at SMA Negeri 1 Kalasan indicates that students are allowed to use smartphones in class, highlighting the need for a more directed approach to technology use. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) model, specifically the 4D model, which consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. Data was collected through questionnaires and validation sheets. The learning media was validated in two stages, assessing instructional, media, and content aspects. The learning media was trialed in both small and large groups to gauge student responses. The subjects of the study were students in class X-1 Phase E at SMA Negeri 1 Kalasan. The instruments used were developed and validated by experts in Educational Technology. Data analysis techniques involved calculating averages and converting them into percentages. The research findings indicate: 1) Initial analysis identified significant needs from PAI teachers and students for Android-based learning media. The learning media focused on the Walisongo material for class X, with the final product in .apk file format. 2) First-stage assessments by instructional, media, and content experts showed validity scores of 76.67% (valid), 80.00% (valid), and 73.33% (valid), respectively. In the second-stage assessments, validity scores improved to 91.67% (very valid), 98.00% (very valid), and 86.67% (very valid). 3) Student responses from both small and large group trials indicated a validity level of 87.2% (very valid) and 90.0% (very valid). The learning media is deemed suitable and practical for use and has been disseminated through the application store, registered with a Copyright Registration Certificat.

Abstract

This study examines the use of metaphors in the album The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, focusing on the types and functions of metaphors to understand the deeper meanings conveyed through the lyrics. Using Lakoff and Johnson’s Conceptual Metaphor Theory, the research identifies and classifies metaphors in the album's lyrics into ontological, structural, and orientational categories. The study finds that metaphors play a significant role in evoking emotional responses, articulating philosophical themes, and critiquing societal norms. Additionally, the study highlights ten functional roles of metaphor, including expressive, aesthetic, cognitive, and heuristic functions, which contribute to the songs' complex narrative and emotional impact. By exploring these metaphorical expressions, the research reveals how the album addresses themes of life, death, identity, and rebellion, making it not only a musical work but also a profound commentary on existential struggles. This analysis enhances understanding of figurative language in music, offering insight into how metaphors communicate intricate ideas in accessible and relatable ways

Abstract

Water is a liquid substance has no taste, smell and color. The constituent elements, there are hydrogen and oxygen with the chemical formula H2O. Because water has properties that can be used for almost anything, water is the most important substance for all forms of life (plants, animals and humans). Drinking water consumed by the public must meet quality and quantity requirements, the quality requirements of which are contained in Minister of Health Regulation no. 146 of 1990 concerning water quality requirements and supervision. The aim of this research is to design a detection tool with Arduino Mega that can measure the suitability of drinking water using a water pH sensor and TDS sensor. This methodology was prepared according needs for software and hardware, namely identification of needs, design, implementation and testing. The testing stage was divided into two, namely testing carried out on the water pH sensor with an average accuracy of 95.63% and the TDS sensor with an accuracy of 97.28%. Testing of the accuracy of the Mamdani system's fuzzy logic calculation method against manual calculations showed an average accuracy of 90.96%.
