Abstract

This study discusses "The Internalization of Sulapa Eppa Values in Educational Leadership for Affirming the Profile of Pancasila Students." It is based on the cultural values or local wisdom held by the Bugis-Makassar community, known as "Sulapa Eppa Values." The research employs a literature review method, which is classified as qualitative descriptive research derived from the issue being studied. The aim of this research is to understand how the role or internalization of these Sulapa Eppa values in educational leadership influences the output related to the Pancasila Student Profile. The results show that the internalization of Sulapa Eppa values in educational leadership can contribute to the formation of students' better personalities by instilling Sulapa Eppa values, namely Macca (Wisdom), Malempu' (Honesty), Warani (Courage), and Magetteng (Consistency). The application of Sulapa Eppa values, which are closely related to human values, greatly influences the standpoint of a leader. Thus, this research is expected to provide deeper insight into the importance of integrating local values into the education system and their impact on shaping students' character in accordance with Pancasila values.

Abstract

The popularity of Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) has continued to increase in the last decade, as reflected in the growing number of academic publications examining its implementation and impact across various disciplines. This study aims to analyze publication trends and hot topics related to IBL over the past decade using a bibliometric approach. A total of 236 Scopus-indexed documents were analyzed. The analysis showed a significant increase in the number of IBL publications and citations. Indonesia dominates the research contributions, indicating successful educational reforms that support the adoption of IBL. Physics and Astronomy were the disciplines that adopted this approach the most, followed by Social Sciences. Keyword analysis identified four main themes that were being discussed: attitude, character, cognitive style, and metacognition. The findings show the importance of a holistic approach to IBL learning, which includes both cognitive and non-cognitive dimensions. This study concludes that IBL is an effective pedagogical approach that continues to evolve. Further research is recommended to explore the integration of these key themes within a more inclusive IBL framework, as well as cross-cultural applications, to support more relevant and meaningful learning

Abstract

Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) classification plays a critical role in understanding the dynamics of environmental change and its impact on land resources. The evolution of these land cover types is essential for assessing the region's land management strategies, agricultural productivity, and environmental conservation. This study investigates the Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) classes in Ogbaru Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra State, Nigeria, using satellite imagery to analyze spatial and temporal changes from 1986 to 2020. This study explores Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) classes in Ogbaru Local Government Area (LGA) using both primary and secondary data sources. The area, with a population of 261,018 as of 2010, is characterized by tropical climate, agriculture, and fishing. Primary data were collected through GPS-based field surveys for ground-truthing, while secondary data were derived from LANDSAT imagery (1980, 2000, 2020) with 30-meter spatial resolution. Image pre-processing was conducted, and supervised classification using the Maximum Likelihood Classification (MLC) method was applied for LULC classification. Pearson’s correlation analysis was utilized to explore the relationship between LULC and land surface temperature. Five distinct LULC classes were identified: Forested Areas, Urban Surfaces, Bare Surfaces, Light Vegetation, and Water Bodies. The study utilized LANDSAT satellite data to assess the dynamics of these classes over a 34-year period. Results show a significant shift in land cover, with urban areas increasing from 1% of the total land area in 1986 to 5% in 2020, reflecting the impact of urbanization and infrastructural development. Conversely, forested areas decreased substantially, while light vegetation initially increased but later declined. Water bodies experienced minor changes, while bare surfaces showed a gradual rise, especially between 1986 and 2002. These findings highlight the rapid urbanization and the corresponding decline in natural vegetation, underscoring the need for sustainable land management strategies to balance development with environmental preservation in Ogbaru. The study demonstrates the utility of satellite imagery in monitoring LULC changes for effective urban planning and resource management.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine whether or not there was an effect of critical thinking on the reading skills of second grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Sanana. Research used quantitative research methods using a non-equivalentcontrol group research design. The samples in this study were natural science 1 and social science 1 with a sample size of 15 students and were selected using stratified random sampling. This research was conducted using two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Both groups were then given a pre-test and post-test. However, only the experimental group received treatment. This research instrument is multiple choice and consists of 20 questions. In analyzing the data, research used SPSS-22 to analyze descriptive data to determine students' categories and grades and inferential analysis to determine normality, homogeneity, reability and hypothesis tests (independent sample test). The results of data analysis show that there is a difference between students' scores on the pre-test and post-test, the results of the effect of effective critical thinking, proven by the students' results before and after being given treatment, their score with the average pre-test score for experimental class students is 55 .00 while the average post-test score was 78.80 after treatment, and also the control group had a pre-test total score of 62.33, and the students' post-test total score was 68.53. in the inferential analysis the data from the pre-test and post-test were normal and homogeneous, is so the researcher used the t-test by comparing the results of the two groups then the independent test results of the samples in the experimental class were 3,740> 1.76 with a 2-tailed sig value of 001 <0.05 and in the control class it is -1.568>.1.76 with a tailed sig-2 value of 128.>0.05. This means that the effect of critical thinking to improve students' reading skills in the experimental class has a significant influence. Researcher concluded that the critical thinking can give good effects to improved the reading skills of second grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Sanana because it allows students to conclude and understand reading material, there for the researcher recommend to English teachers in order to apply critical thinking to students to provide understanding and improve student’s reading skill.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the challenges faced by some teachers in implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project at SMPN 3 Marioriwawo, Soppeng Regency. The study aims to describe the implementation of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's leadership principles in teaching. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and verification, while data validity is ensured using source and method triangulation techniques. The findings indicate that in the implementation of Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha (leading by example), the principal and teachers identify students’ needs by designing diagnostic assessments and consistently instilling discipline through the enforcement of a code of ethics. In the implementation of Ing Madya Mangun Karso (inspiring in the middle), the principal forms an implementation team through discussions with teachers, collaborates with parents and external parties, motivates students using prompting questions, conducts field surveys, and facilitates learning resources tailored to students' interests. For Tut Wuri Handayani (supporting from behind), teachers organize open discussions, brainstorming sessions, and provide opportunities for students to present their ideas while giving constructive feedback. Additionally, the principal conducts regular observations. This research is expected to provide insights into leadership and educational practices in schools, as well as support the development of character and Pancasila values among students.
